OK I am SO impressed with Bratdogz Pet Spa!! I have a long haired 'fluffy' cat, Maki, who keeps getting her poop stuck on her back leg fur. I clip it the best I can, but this time I just couldnt hold her still to do it. So I asked my daughter who told me she takes her dog to Bratdogz and that she LOVES it. So I called Janelle yesterday afternoon and she kindly fit me in THIS MORNING! What?????!!! Most places have at LEAST a 3 week waiting period for cats!!! So I brought Maki in and first thing was greeted by a tiny little puppy (named Creme Brulee - how cute is that????) who said 'hello hello hello and gave me kisses (albeit around the ankles cause she was so small lol) and Maki wasnt even phased! Then Janelle put Maki up on her work table, and Maki just sat there, totally comfortable with Janelle (this is the cat that runs under the couch when even family comes to visit!) She let Janelle clip her nails, without trying to scratch or bite or wiggle ! I was only in for a 'sanitary' but Janelle brushed out all of Makis 'dead' fur before she did the 'sanitary' clipping. Again, Maki just sat there, didnt try and wiggle away and I was absolutely gobsmacked! When she was done, she had me look at Maki and make sure thats how I wanted it, and Maki looks GREAT! And she was so soft!!! Janelle KNOWS her stuff!! She was gentle, yet firm with Maki and she was so friendly and upbeat with me AND her price was absolutely astonishing! It was SO fair and SO affordable! I will NEVER take Maki anywhere else to be groomed!! If I could have given Bratdogz 100 stars, I would have ! :) read more

We had the BEST experience at Bratdogz pet spa! Our 7 year old Golden Retriever had never had a professional experience before, and we were both nervous about it. Jannelle and her staff were immediately calming and welcoming to us both. My giant golden settled in really well and I so appreciated the way Jannelle had me stick around just a bit for the first part so that he could see I was calm and supportive of the process. When I left, I was more than confident that my pup was in great hands!! And boy was he SO HAPPY when I picked him up!! Freshly bathed, hair cut (and dreadlocks behind the ears gone!), and lookin' spiffy =), He was so proud of his fancy new bandana as well. I've been taking my two small non-shedding terriers to Jannelle for 7 years now. They need a cut every 8 weeks so we've been quite a few times now. Honestly thought I had already written a review by now. The owner is loving and kind and knowledgeable of dogs. My dogs aren't exactly the friendliest with other people or dogs but Janelle is always welcoming and caring to them and we've never had an issue. I find the place to be a good value for the work that she does and the dogs always come back looking great. Additionally, with her experience, she's able to do a shorter length than most other groomers are willing to do. My dogs definitely appreciate staying cool in the hotter months. My only worry is that she may retire soon and I won't be able to find another place that's comparable. read more

My groomer retired. I'd been going there for close to thirty years. I checked around, got some quotes, read some reviews, and left a message for Bratdogz. She has the best price, is super friendly, and definitely has the experience! I was able to get my two mini Aussies in to see her within the same week!! A huge PLUS is that they are located right off Main Street! Make an appointment, drop off the dogs, go shopping from beginning to the end of Main Street. Rude service and the owner has high anxiety. We brought our puppy here who is not yet crate trained and mid-groom, she called me to tell me that my puppy crying was giving her and the other dogs too much anxiety and that I needed to come pick him up. The owner also seemed to handle the dogs aggressively, yelled at a few of them while I was there and she is not tactful or thoughtful in conversation. Terrible service, very rude. I recently moved to the area and had to leave my old groomer. Janelle was condescending on the phone but decided to give her the benefit of the doubt due to her five star rating. When I went in for my appointment she was very quick to judge my dog without even examining her. Right away she was saying what a project my dog would be (she was groomed two months ago, our typical amount of time we go between professional grooms), saying it would be inhumane to brush her because she was matted, which is not true. Our dog has long hair, she is a poodle and gets bathed every other week and brushed twice a week. Janelle didn't even touch our miniature poodle before making accusations saying how it would take multiple grooms before she could give her a teddy cut. I understand having an opinion but Janelle (the owner) wasn't even nice about it let alone having a correct and accurate professional opinion. I went to a different groomer the same day who gave my dog a groom no problem. I'm sure they do a fine job washing dogs but if you have a long hair dog who isn't groomed every week don't go here, clearly she's not up for the job. read more

Bratdogz is the only groomer who has consistently given me exactly what I want for a cut. I've taken my dog a variety of places and they can never get it right. My dog also tends to be more anxious at these places but always seems at ease when I bring her to Bratdogz.
