Not sure who groomed my Malinois but whoever did was amazing and did a great job. She smells amazing and looks great. They fit me in pretty short notice but I ended up getting her groomed when we got back from a beach trip. They did a de shed and we can actually tell a difference. Petting her we don't get clumps of hair; she's also SUPER silky and smells amazingly clean. They dremeled her nails nicely and her ears are SUPER clean! 10/10 will come back, Lori is great! read more

Lori and her crew do the best job with our dogs! Not only is the environment pet friendly because it is cage-free, but you can get an appointment pretty quickly. "Gypsy", my older dog, is not particularly fond of getting groomed, but when she gets to Urban Paws, her whole body literally wags when she sees Lori. Lori is always very receptive and listens to what I would like to have done with Gypsy. I typically get her bathed and groomed and her nails clipped. If I want her groomed differently compared to how she was groomed the previous time, Lori makes note of these requests. I took my dog Scooby in for a full groom with Kelsey at Urban Pawz Salon. Kelsey greeted us and went over what I'd like done and had me fill out some paperwork. She was so friendly and the salon looked nice and clean. When I picked Scooby up he looked AMAZING! It was beyond my expectations and Scooby was so relaxed and happy which was exactly what I was hoping for. I always worry about leaving him at Grooming Salons because he is pretty anxious at times and I don't want to overwhelm him or cause too much stress. Thrilled with the grooming Kelsey from Urban Pawz did for Henry today. Lori is the owner and a genuinely nice person who you an tell loves dogs. Kelsey took the time to understand what I wanted for my dog and listened while I explained the prior experiences from poor groomers. She made suggestions that gave me a real comfort feeling leaving Henry with her. I was thrilled with the results and best of all my dog came home calm. They don't groom multiple dogs at once so my dog wasn't crated. I watched for awhile because I arrived a bit early to pick him up. I could watch through a window and while at a distance he knew I was there but didn't get anxious. That's a sign that he was comfortable in this environment. That's a big plus in my opinion. DO NOT take your dog to Urban Pawz! They got our dog mixed up with another dog and gave our dog the wrong haircut! They shaved my beautiful doodle because they got her mixed up with another dog who is a totally different size. Now she will be without her coat into the fall/winter cold months. Thank god my husband arrived in time before they gave our dog to the wrong owner! Our usually groomer Nicole who recently left Urban Pawz was wonderful and this was our first time with a new groomer since her departure and to say it went horribly is an understatement. The owner couldn't even take the time to rectify the situation or take any accountability and instead hid in the back while one of her employees apologized. I'm sure other dog parents can understand that our dogs are truly our babies. We should be able to trust that they will be safe at the groomer. To think she could of left with someone else sunk my heart. Of course hair grows back but we've worked very hard to take care of her fur to keep her mat free and now to think she will have to go through fall/winter cold months without her fur because her groomer did a different dog's haircut on her is unacceptable. In response to the owner's comment: As the owner and leader of your organization you never called me or came out to discuss how and why the mix up happened. You sent your employee out to do that. That is fact. You only called me after seeing this Yelp review which I find troubling and self serving. If it weren't for this truthful review you otherwise wouldn't have reached out. If you didn't discover the mix up prior to the end of her groom you would've sent her home to the wrong owner. So instead of blaming the customer who you've wronged take accountability and use it as an opportunity to change your processes to increase safety and prevent another mistaken identity from occurring. You thinking that not charging us for a botched haircut is some kind of compensation is ridiculous. Not only did you deliver the wrong cut on our dog, but the one you did deliver was horrible as you can see from the photo. read more

I called in and spoke with a lovely lady named Lori if they had a groomer on site that would be able to help me with a nail trim, she then told me I could come in and she would be able to get my dogs nail trimmed, while also going in to use the self wash, The groomer did an outstanding job on my dogs nails!
