Delicious Regional fast food based off a dairy farm. Any restaurant that gives you options, especially fast food with no surcharge, is a win in my book. This chain allows you to swap both the drink and side for something dairy based. In my case, I swapped the pop for a small chocolate shake and the fries for a Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt with peach was fantastic. No sugary syrup, just real pieces of peach. Would've gotten some to take home if I had a bigger fridge and cooler. The chocolate shake was the perfect amount for a road trip. Nice and sweet, 10/10 would get it again. The bacon cheeseburger was also fantastic. Not overly greasy. The vegetables didn't wilt from the heat of the burger. Meaty and cheesy, 10/10 would get it again. Staff were kind and friendly. Lady doublechecked to ensure I got the right things and even made a quick run to the retail section to get my yogurt. The retail section is small grocery with ice cream flavors galore! This chain is in Oklahoma. It was near our motel. We had been driving 10 hours from MN. I ordered this salad which includes chicken, leaf lettuce, spinach, blueberries, strawberries and pineapple. Ordered the jalapeño pepper jack cheeseburger. It had a crazy number of Jalapeños and 2 slices of cheese, but still seemed fairly basic. Fries came out hot and freshly made. We decided to check out Braum's on the way home from Texas. The drive through was quick, and the service was decent. The food was very similar to Culver's, but not sure if it was better. I've been a regular to Braum's for a while and I'm sad to say yesterday may have been my last time visiting this location. The prices have steadily increased; it is now too expensive to justify getting my order wrong every time. I ordered a burger with only ketchup and pickle, and my burger had everything on it except the ketchup. I constantly order a side of gravy for my wife, pay extra, and do not receive the gravy. It is sad, because I enjoy the taste of the food. I just cannot keep receiving sub-par service for overpriced fast food. read more

Check your order! Ordered a chicken salad through the drive through... Not only did they forget a fork in the bag, they forgot the chicken. Wife went in to use the restroom while I ordered - said she could smell stale urine clear down the hallway and the stench in the bathroom itself was atrocious with the smell gag worthy. Noted messed up order after on down the interstate- called the manager and said they couldn't refund without returning to store with product and receipt. Obviously not worth going back! Braums is amazing. This location isn't, unless they were all just having a bad day. The staff wasn't very friendly at all and they weren't the brightest bunch I've met (that's being nice). The burgers were sloppy for both my family and I. The little amount of toppings I actually received were falling off, the sauce was all over the bun, and the burger patty was ripped in half falling off the bun also. The fries weren't fresh and soggy from being loaded with grease. Even the soda was too syrupy. This is not a typical experience for Braums. Most Braums are amazing, but this location needs better management apparently. read more

This was the unexpected day at Braums. I had heard that they had great hamburgers, as well as ice cream, but I dont remember ever having a manager come out to our table and give away a free double hamburger before this store. They had made a mistake in orders and he apologized for the confusion, then they brought out a fresh double just the way I had ordered it. My in-laws live in Blackwell, and we always come to Braums when we are in town. There are no locations in Houston. We have always been pleased with the food, the atmosphere, and the service. I love the bacon cheeseburgers, the crinkly fries, the shakes, and the ice cream. The chili and the chicken strips are also really good. I am not sure how this chain is even in business...bad, just bad. I had a cheeseburger, fries and chocolate shake. No taste burger and cold fries with not a grain of salt for flavor. Not sure where to start with that chocolate shake, I was expecting creamy and flavorful....nope, was more like the heavily processed Wendy's frosty. Why don't we have Braum's in Minnesota? I couldn't get over how inexpensive the chain's ice cream was given its quality. Very tasty hard scoop ice cream with excellent sundae options. In addition you can get a single scoop sundae for $2.50 which is just right. I don't want 3 scoops for $6 which is usually my only choice at a premium ice cream shop. We visited shops in both Guthrie, and also in Blackwell OK. Great flavors -- including Peppermint Stick both places. In Minnesota that is sadly reserved only for the Christmas season. The boys working the counter were a bit spacey, but they were polite and sweet -- that kind of added to its ice cream shop charm. read more

Braums is usually awesome as a fast food restaurant. My food was alright, but the service seemed a little off. It was a Braums that's right off the highway so it was busy, which is understandable. New experience for us ... Driving from Wichita to Tulsa on a Sunday morning you don't have many options for breakfast. We could have done the sure thing and gone to McDonald's but wanted to try something different. When you walk in you are taken back by the fact that this is a food food joint and mini-grocery store ( or as they call it fresh market ) The fresh market has just a few of each item to get you by in a pinch. Milk, condiments, fruits, eggs and some meats ... Oh and of course ice cream. Lots of ice cream. We didn't get anything from the market but did try their limited breakfast menu. I with a sausage egg and cheese biscuit and my wife with a English muffin that has egg cheese and ham on it. Both served with hash rounds and a drink. The SEC wasn't bad. Sausage was a little over done and cheese not melted all the way but taste was decent. I think I might have been happier with the egg mcmuffin thing that my wife got. It looked really good and she only had good things to say about it. The customer service was good but the store was a bit outdated. read more

I was told that I had to try Braum's while I was visiting Oklahoma. Luckily there was one in the small town I was visiting. We tried it at 8:30 on a Friday night. They place was packed. It took forever to get our food and we just ordered a couple basic burgers and a salad. I had the limited time bacon and blue cheese burger. It was pretty good. I was told to expect outstanding and it didn't live up to that, but it was good. Reading other reviews it may just be the location so I'll give another Braum's a try sometime. read more

When I moved to Blackwell, OK from Wisconsin, I really missed the Culver's stores we had in the upper Midwest. Custard cones, creamy root beer, and butterburgers .........mmmmmm. Braum's is the closest thing Oklahoma has to Culver's. Wonderful ice cream (even if it's not custard), great burgers, and reasonable prices. Plus, I really like some of the items that I can only find in their little grocery store section. Service at ALL Blackwell fast food places is below average. If you thought Braum's was bad for service, you should see how bad it is across the street at McDonald's, or back by KFC. Braum's at least tries to train their employees to care about their customers. Now if I could only get them to have Walleye Pike and Cod fish dinners at Braum's, I'd forget about Culver's completely. read more

This place is gross. In the last 3 weeks it has been impossible to get fresh produce or dairy that wasn't within a few days of expiring. The shelves are not well stocked at all. The bathrooms are stinky & not well maintained. The staff is unfriendly & rude. The grocery checker didn't seem to know what she was doing, she tried to short change me until I pointed out where her error was. She had gotten rude & said "Oh well, no one is perfect". I told her that she should at least know how to make change from a $20. She did the same thing to the customer before me. The last time I was in there I ordered a cheese burger & fries & was given chicken strips. Plus it took them 30 minutes to get my order out & they were not busy, maybe 4 or 5 tables. When I finally got my burger, it was sub-standard, fries were cold. I threw most of it away & went elsewhere. No more. I thought maybe it was just a bad day but this happens too much here lately. Maybe they need a change in management. I would not recommend this Braum's. I will not be back. read more
