The staff is not friendly, but they aren't rude. They're just there and don't smile or talk much. There is a market next to the seating section. I went in for a burger combo today and had one of the worst dining experiences. While I was sitting at a table, an employee started spraying window cleaner directly into the air at the table right next to mine. With the sunlight coming through the window, I could actually see the mist floating all over my food. She didn't spray it onto a cloth first to wipe the glass, just sprayed it into the air--so I was left breathing in chemicals while trying to eat, and my food was contaminated. I quickly packed up my meal and moved. When I brought it to the counter, they replaced my fries but not my burger, which was also ruined. I ended up throwing away more than half of my meal. The staff's response made it clear they didn't really care. This is a food safety issue. Spraying chemicals around customers and their food shows a complete lack of training and professionalism. If you work in food service, handling cleaning supplies safely should be basic standard. Unfortunately, this place doesn't take that seriously. read more

In its defense, this shop has been around for over 20 years. I am not sure if they ever remodeled, but I can certainly say it shows its age. I do wish they would do a better job on cleaning. The fact is you're not going to get a super clean tabletop, so be sure you use the napkins and wipe it down. No Stars. Service - I come here for the ice cream, and I have never had a problem with service. In fact, I have been here several times where the line is very long. However, it's orderly, and the staff make sure they do their best to get your order and allow you to check out. 1 Star. Food - I truly believe Braum's has the best ice cream value in town. You can order two single scoops, the banana split, and add a sundae for under $10 easily. They make everything in the house, and if you're lucky you will be able to get their cherry limeade sherbert. The flavors seem to rotate as well, so you always have a chance to try something new. The ice cream is creamy, this scoops are large, and it is hard not to come away with something very tasty. If you go and sit inside rather than wait for the drive thru, park across the street at the church so you don't have trouble backing out of a space in Braum's parking lot. I decided to go in and eat inside. I already knew from past experience that maybe half the staff isn't wearing masks, but I've had both vaccine doses so can't get too worked up about that. If you'd rather the person making or serving your food was masked, maybe go elsewhere. When I was in on Sunday afternoon 5/2 it was straight up 6 pm. I ate inside. I would recommend if you do drive thru only that you go in next time and see the conditions your food is coming from. I gave three stars. The food is great. But clean as you go and sanitation procedures are seriously seriously lacking. Every flat waist-level food prep space of any kind was literally covered in a layer of melted ice cream and general mess. It's all stainless steel and would be very easy to keep clean if anyone bothered. But they don't. Even the trash bins built into the counter were overflowing. During the hour I was there nobody came out from behind the counter to give any attention to cleaning the seating area. I liked the food and ice cream, very good. The Jalepeno Pepperjack burger was reallly good. I always order my burgers with no onions and was thankful they fulfilled my request :D (without having to open the wrapper before pulling away due to previous bad experiences at other drive thrus..
