The artist proprietor is generally in the shop. Designs are distinctly Native Alaskan and attend to tradition with classy contemporary flare. Look when you are being a tourist, do yourself and the community a favor - seek out the local artists. This is definitely my favorite shop in Juneau. Discovered Trickster last year on a cruise ship stop and sought it out again this year. It's a great place to buy something interesting and fun for yourself or as a gift for somebody else.

They created 4 items within the short week, and he was very proud of his work. The instructor Jodie brought in was very knowledgeable, patient, and caring. On the last day of class, all students were able to show off their completed projects to their family. While being proud of their own accomplishments, I noticed several students introducing their families to the instructor and thanking her wholeheartedly for the past week. I even saw tears being shed by some students, and yes my son was one of them. I highly recommend this business, and any class/course Jodie has to offer. The wind knocked down two large trees, one hitting our house, knocking the pictures off the wall. Art Matters handled the reframing and sent two of the photos out to be repaired due to significant cuts from glass. Our experience was beyond anything we could have hoped for.
