I'm confused why I was priced a wig for $1600 plus $95 to cut and style?! I think they price as to who they think you are because a topper was the same price. Please never confuse my kindness for weakness or judge me at all. The fact is that you can get human hair wigs already styled and cut for a fraction of their cost. I realize that this place has been around for decades and when you're upset and needing a wig for health reason that price is no object but now days you can order better wigs and try them on at home than the ones you don't like or don't want you can ship them back plus if they need styling you can go to the hair schools and have students under a licensed stylist/teacher take care of you without the hassle sometimes for free as they may trade a grade for services. Don't let these people scam you into believing they are better than other places because they have been lying and overpricing on patience hurting and confused for years. I'm very disappointed in the way I was "tricked" in giving information they only cared about so they could give me a price that is 6x the price of a wig online that is human hair plus some already styled and a topper for $1600 is absolutely ludicrous! Think car salesman from the 80s when you walk in and ensure you shop around before you give your hard earned money to this place. I went in as a scared, insecure lady and they did exactly as I thought and overcharged me and priced gouged me so they got to keep their wigs and I found six for half the price and all human hair. I only need to have two of them styled a bit more to my liking. I'll have six looks that just make it look like I styled my hair different each day and one weekend fun beachy casual look. Thives!!! I had a problem with a wig that I purchased and brought it in to exchange it as I was instructed. They kept the original while they "looked for a new one" then they ghosted me. There was an extremely rude woman working here who disrespected my mother. Her name is Tia. To the management and the owner (who Tia said is named Erica)- It's a terrible idea to have someone who is rude, has some sort of anger issues, and who tells a customer to leave over asking a question- someone like Tia- working in a sales/customer service position. My mother is a senior citizen, she drove all the way from Rockwall because your store had good reviews online. Now she's just purchasing the same product from a business with professional staff who have something called manners in Rockwall. ‍ That's $1,500 you've lost. This review is for the Dallas location on Lovers Lane. I was there August 2024 to purchase a wig and hair topper due to hair loss from chemotherapy. I walked out having lost $147. There were also three price stickers on my wig revealing they increase the price from $495, then to $529, and then to $556 .Please read the business owners response below my review; he never responded to the issues of unethical business practices. Of course if you order custom wigs and hairpieces, you should expect to pay thousands of dollars. However, much of what they stock is not custom and is simply marked up. They also have unfair, restrictive customer service / refund policies , especially since many of the customers are women undergoing cancer / chemotherapy treatments, or hair loss from other health issues....unethical. While in the store I found out they were having a Bogo, buy one get 50% off promotion. Of course their sale products don't count towards the Bogo promotion. Products are marked up average of 20% or more compared to same product online. If you're looking for human hair, even lace-front , hand-tied , or heat-friendly synthetic hairpieces / wigs, you can get the same quality online, or elsewhere, for less and from a merchant with a customer friendly return policy . Bravada's return policy is only two days for non-sale items. Even if you return an item within the two day window, they charge a 15% service fee. My topper was on order because they don't stock enough brunette pieces. I canceled the order the next day, and I was charged almost $50 for something I never received. Sale items are immediately nonrefundable. I have medium brunette hair... very common. However, I also lost $100 in a consultation fee because they didn't have enough brunette color pieces in stock. The woman helping me was very nice, but she was constantly searching for brunette pieces which cost me additional consulting time. From other merchants, If you buy the same item online, you typically get a 30 day complete refund return policy. This store removes the original brand tags, attaches the store tag ,and puts it in their own packaging. You have no idea the brand of wig you're purchasing. I thought the wig I bought looked familiar in style to one I had looked at online. I discovered, after I already bought the nonrefundable wig, I could've gotten the exact same wig for $100 less, and with a 30 day return policy full refund policy. There are also overpriced separate fees for cutting, in addition to styling your purchase . When you are making your purchase, the pin pad asks if you would like to leave a TIP. They should pay their employees enough so this is not asked of customers. It's completely up to a customers discretion to leave a tip. I tipped the woman who assisted me because she truly tried to help despite the lack of brunette pieces in stock. I tipped her in cash knowing it would go to her. These are unethical and abysmal customer focused business practices , especially considering most women coming into their stores are cancer-chemotherapy patients, or women with thinning hair due to health issues. The owner never replied to the issues of unethical business practices. His statement that you get what you pay for does not apply to this store; better quality, prices , and customer service friendly policies are available elsewhere. read more

I wanted a second topper for my thinning hair and easily made an appointment while visiting the Dallas area. (I have had several toppers since 2019). I am very pleased with the quality and appearance of my gray hair topper. Bravados had several to choose from and this was a nice surprise as sometimes the color is hard to find. More importantly, Erica, my stylist, was exceptional! She gave me more detailed information about how to wear my topper than I have ever received. She styled and cut the topper and I was out the door feeling great in an hour. The price was comparable to what I paid in Northern VA and much less than Boston. I had considered ordering online, but I would advise against it. The professional advice and care received at Bravadas are well worth it. I plan on returning in the future. I agree with the average 1 star. My purchase was 4800. All sales, Absolutely no knowledge of care of the wigs, No measurements done on my visit, clipped my tag from my wig so I could not return it. Recently I called the store for assistance to thin out my piece so it appeared more natural, no time ...scheduled me out three weeks, have not heard from them since. I refuse to hand over my expensive over-priced unit to be thinned out or styled, who knows what you will get back. Buyer beware. read more

I was brand new to wigs, but needed one due to chemo. During my appointment, my head was never measured. I repeatedly told the sales person that the wigs were hurting my ears because they were laying on top of them. They told me I would get used to it and alterations could be made later. I ordered one, but was unable to wear it because of the pain it gave me around the ears. I went back to the store and explained, and I was told it was too big for me. So, I had to pay for the wig to be altered and made smaller. It now fits better, but it has areas where it bunches up. I also asked to have it thinned which they did. However, they did not cut it at the roots, so I have little pieces of hair sticking out. It would not be so bad except these pieces of hair are dark because the wig is rooted. I don't understand why they didn't have me order a petite wig. I now have a wig that doesn't look quite right because of the bunching with small prickly hairs sticking out that I've paid quite a bit of money for. read more

After my friend bought a $4000 wig (bc she's going to lose her hair due to chemo), the person checking us out said, "Would you like to leave a tip for the person who helped you?" (for a $4000 wig). Whoever owns this place should PAY the employees. I found it disgusting that they would ask my emoitionally fragile person for a tip for a purchase of that price. Went with my friend after to have her hair cut off. The stylist said she's been to this place several times to support clients and she said the service is horrible, rude, eager to close right on time, etc. She had some words for this place that won't pass the proofread! We used to love this place until we ordered an expensive wig and were swapped for a $20 wig. We know the quality of wigs which is why we had no problem paying the price for these wigs. Unfortunately on one occasion I didn't realize until I left the country that this wig was not the same. My mother knows her wigs. She has been buying here for a while and recognized the texture and quality was very different or this wig was used. Upon explaining this to them they agreed for me to bring it back. Unfortunately the wig was in another country and this should have never happened in the first place. They lost a loyal customer. It's been months since this happened and I'm still not over it due to the amount of money we spent here. Maybe they thought since we were Mexicans we wouldn't recognize quality. Wrong! I live over 100 miles away, one way, I drove up early and was made to wait almost an hour for no apparent reason.I selected two and bought one that was almost 400.00 The fitter placed the wigs on sloppily and I had to correct it each time.I just felt that while it wasn't as overtly hostile as the last time that I was there, my treatment was far from what they advertise as welcoming. There is no contact us on the website so here I am on Yelp, additionally,they didn't want to cut it then for me, I hope there is no issue about coming in later to cut it.(but did for others at the time of purchase) I received a receipt (Thank God) but no box and no bag. Make an appointment vs. walk-in. Contact by phone not by email. I sent 2 emails and didn't receive a response to either one. Many styles, lengths, colors (swatches, too) and cap types. Lots of choices: synthetic, blended, or human hair wigs. I purchased one R. Welch wig directly from Bravadas and brought in a Henry Margu wig that I had purchased from an on-line seller. Neither "synthetic" wig out of its box looked like it does on the pictured models; these wigs needed to be shaped to fit my face (bangs trimmed, hair thinned, adjustments made) which the stylist will do for you at the shop for a very reasonable fee. I saw a customer trying on a human hair wig (which are the most expensive) and the only way I knew it wasn't her own hair is because I watched her put it on. Amazing! Kim was wonderful. She was patient, educated me on the different types of wigs and made the experience fun! I'll be returning to have the Welch wig trimmed around my ears. After that, I'm going to buy a wig created with a blend of synthetic and human hair. I also researched prices in the shop compared to on-line seller(s) and not much difference in price. I'd recommend visiting Bravadas (by appointment) where a specialist will give you their undivided attention. read more

I went to Bravadas because of the posts I saw from an instagram influencer who is also going through hair loss. I was instantly greeted by a woman named Erica and I discussed what I was looking for. The atmosphere of the store and Erica's kindness made this very nerve wracking trip much more tolerable. I tried on a few wigs before I found the one that was for me. It was out of stock so she had to order it, style it, then mail it out to me. Since then any questions I've had I've emailed her and she's gotten back to me very quickly. Hair loss has been a traumatizing thing for me (as it is for so many of us who are going through it) and Erica at Bravadas made it so much easier. I will definitely be back for any additional wigs and toppers. I felt so comfortable and the only tears I shed that day were from happiness. I'm a Bravadas customer for life! read more

I visited the shop a few days ago, because a friend of mine highly recommend Yulia. The wigs selection is outstanding and they are extremely knowledgeable of each and every product in there store. The staff is very caring and loving thru my process of losing my hair. I have recommended so many friends and family, because I know that they will always be taken care of. I highly recommend Yulia and the rest of the girls. I have to disagree with a comment that I saw about feeling pressured to buy a wig she didn't like. I never not one time felt pressured to purchase a wig that I didn't like, I was given honest opinions, which is rare now days. There were many people that day, but Yulia made me feel like I was the only person in that store, she put me in a private room to ease my embarrassment due to my lack of hair, and I've never felt true compassion like at Bravadas. What a great experience! I took my sister to Bravadas as she is experiencing hair loss on the crown of her head. It has been so sad to see her frustration and depression over this happening. She's from out of town, so we were thrilled that they would work us in on her last day in Dallas. We got so lucky to get Yuliana to help us. What an incredible person she is! Made my sister feel so comfortable and brought out a few of the best hair toppers in Remy Human Hair. She found the perfect hair color match and the perfect option that had just the right amount of hair for my sister so that it blended perfectly with her hair. Then, styled it and brought it back for her to try on and it was AMAZING! Yuliana went thru the steps of how to put it on several times, and made sure my sister felt comfortable putting it on herself. She then showed her tricks to make it look more natural - and then reviewed the products needed to best take care of the hair topper. The fact that each step was patiently taken with us - since we knew NOTHING about wigs/hair toppers - was just amazing to us. Hair gives you confidence and trust me, my sister burst into tears she was so happy with the final result. They even offer to cut the topper for us at no additional cost - but it was actually perfect and needed nothing else done to it. All of the sales people are also stylists too! How cool is that! It makes the process seamless. Bravadas had the perfect way to help from start to finish - and Yuliana was the BEST! My sister was in tears she was so happy when we left. I am updating my review based on further research and after wearing the wig for a little while (having no other choice). The lace front wig was the most comfortable wig I have worn. While virtually no one liked the color, many complimented the style. The shop has a large inventory. Julie was AWESOME for helping me. She even called a few days later to check up. She listened patiently to my concerns about the shop's fee policy. I have had other wigs cut since this review and, quite frankly, no one has done a better cut than Julie. the way she thinned out the extra bulk was amazing. I did find out that many shops give a 1 hour free consultation with a charge (usually $50) after that hour. That's good information to know. Helpful hints: Schedule an appointment and allow yourself plenty of time. Arrive early and go by yourself or with only 1 friend with you. It is easy to become overwhelmed. Ask for Julie. read more

Worst service ever! I came in after my chemo therapy for a wig because this store was close to my hospital. I am a hairstylist and have knowledge of wigs. I already knew what wig brand and style even color I wanted. I knew this store carried it because I had called previously to confirm. I came with my sister and the lady up front was very rude. I had explained to her which wig I wanted and style and she refused to even sell it to me! Here I am basically telling her to take my money and she refused! She said you need to have an appointment to even look at the wigs. But I already knew what I wanted I didn't need professional help I am a professional. She said I can't help you now I have a client, and asked me to make an appointment for later. We were in there for a while and no one came In. In the time she was complaining that I needed help she could of showed me the wig I wanted and sold it to me, I would be the easiest client since I already have knowledge of this. But instead this stylist was lazy and didn't want to help, so they lost my business. I will never return to this location. They need to get better stylists with ambition. read more

Don't get Cancer if your only option for a Wig is this store! My friend had called this store to ask about times for us to go choose a Wig for me. I am starting Chemo next week so wanted to be ready for when my hair falls off. We came in and a red haired lady asked me what did I wanted? I guess she was puzzled by the fact that I don't look sick and thought I was not worth of her time. I said I wanted to choose a Wig because I was about to start my Chemo and even tho it was only 3:30 and the store closed at 5pm she said she couldn't help me because they needed to close exactly at 5 and they already had 3 appointments and walk ins. I was a bit disappointed because of course lady, I don't look sick, but I am and loosing your hair is no walk in the park and I had dedicated this day to find some hair that I liked. One of my friends the one that had previously called went to the counter and asked as of why I was being dismissed just like that when the store was not even closed yet and she was never informed that we needed an appointment.After much struggle they agreed to assist me at 4:30 when we came back at that time no one was there and they claimed one of the stilyst had to leave and they didn't have anyone to help me. My friend said well that's unfortunate but we need assistance . So guess who came out? The same dismissive lady that had said no to me. Apparently getting a 5k Wig is not what this store is about and or they didn't needed my business ,happy for you Bravadas , but not for me since I am in need of the product. Tracy in Dallas is awesome! I lost some hair due to medications. I was dreading the idea of wearing a wig. I stopped in without an appointment to learn what options were available. I had no intention of actually purchasing today. I was happy that an expert like Tracy had time to evaluate my situation. She showed me some toppers that were more in line with what I wanted and worked for what I needed. She explained pros/cons of human hair vs. synthetic. She picked out a perfect color match for me and I was thrilled at how easy it was to put on and how comfortable it felt. It blended so well with my hair. In less than 45 minutes, I made the purchase and she trimmed it to fit my bangs and hairline. I literally got 3 compliments on the color of my hair this afternoon. I'm very grateful to the kind and professional service Tracy offered. I recommend people ask for her if you need a really good hair specialist!!
