In April 2023, I finished chemo (am in remission, no cancer), almost completely bald, when I walked into Margie's Wig Salon. I chose her salon because of the good reviews I read on Yelp. Margie gets five stars from me. I told Margie, in the movie Book Review, Jane Fonda wears a silver wig that looks great on her. You will NOT be disappointed when you walk into Margie's Salon. She has a great personality and lots of styles of wigs that look like real hair. When you go, I suggest you bring a friend with you that will be objective, tell you which wig looks good on you and those that don't. read more

I started a new chemo drug today knowing that I am going to lose my hair. My husband, who took the day off to support me, headed right over to Margie's Wig Salon for my first wig with me. I wanted her to see my bio hair to have some idea of which wig might be the perfect one! Let me say, SHE IS AMAZING! Absolutely amazing for so many reasons. I picked out 2 wigs and she picked out two wigs, and her selections were so much better than mine. Yes, her selection of wigs is great, but it takes so much more than that (although I must state that she carries very good premium wig brands at very fair prices). You can't get her level of service from many other wig shops, and definitely not online. I fell in love with the second wig on my head, a TressAllure Smooth Cut Bob. It is longer than my hair, but the colors are so amazingly natural, and the feel of the hair so soft and natural with it's mono-filiment top and lace front. I just couldn't stop running my hands through it. She trimmed it to give it the layers I love. I part my hair on my right, and most wigs part of the left. That was never going to work for me! With the mono-filiment top, I can part the wig anywhere I want! I LOVE MY WIG! Such a comfort since I have always thought that my hair was one of my best feature. read more

This place is terrific! I bought my first wig here yesterday to cover my ongoing hair loss. Margie was so helpful in finding the perfect piece for me; I never expected to leave with a wig at my first wig shop visit, but when you know, you KNOW. She took her time and explained everything to me, how to care for it, take it on & off, adjust it, etc. She told me several times to call if I have any questions. My husband and I went in to look for a wig because I have terrible hair and wanted an easy way to look better. Margie was very helpful and patient with me. I tried on several different styles and colors. I ended up buying the first one Margie suggested. I'm really happy with my new 'hair'. I can now get ready and go somewhere in under thirty minutes. My wife and I came into this salon on Saturday 1-10-2015, to look at options for thinning hair on top of her head; Margie showed my wife a topper and proceeded to put it on my wife's head. My wife expressed that she didn't want something with clamps because they would pull out what little hair she had left. Margie put it on her head anyway forcing the clamps into her head in angst and my wife said this makes me look like a Beatle. At this point she proceeded to bang the top of her head to make the topper lay flatter; this action caused severe discomfort and pain because of the clamps. Margie should know better than to disregard a person's comfort in order to make a sale. I then mentioned that they had a headband wig that we thought might work by wearing it backwards to help cover the hair loss on the top of her hair. Margie proceeded to put it on my wife's head the way it is intended which is not what she needs and we both expressed this to her; she said oh just let me show you how this works and before my wife could stop her she took a hair pick to pull the hair through the band and ripped at least 12 hairs out of my wife's head. My wife's hair is over 2 feet long and Margie should have been more careful. We believe that she did this because she was worried that she wasn't going to make a sale. After my wife and I left the store she burst into tears, complained about a burning sensation and cried for nearly three hours. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone after observing my wife's experience there. read more

I came to Yelp to write a review on Margie's Wig Salon. The other review I read on Margie's is the only thing about Margie's that was negative that I have ever read. I have gone to her wig salon for years. She spends lots of time trying wigs on you and showing which hair pieces that make you look your very best. I have had nothing but compliments on my hair since I discovered her. I have several friends that agree with me 100%. She has never hurt me or pulled out a hair on my head. Oh, and by the way you lose way more than 12 hairs a day just living a normal lifestyle. Also the client cryed for 3 hours? Come on, I didn't even cry 1 hour when I broke my arm. Margie and the people that work for her are very sweet and personable and knowledgeable. I don't know what I would have done without her when I was going through bad hair days. She always can fix me right up without hurting me at all. I recommend this salon to everyone. It really is the best! read more
