It was me and hubby, once again being indecisive about where to eat that wasn't too far away from home. i'd noticed Bravo Avo popping up on my Yelp searches so we decided to give it ago. It was dinner time, the place was pretty empty. You can tell it's a casual place by day and a sit-down place by night. There's a cute girl dressed in shirt & tie waiting to greet and seat you. Bizarrely enough, she is not allowed to take your order or put in a request for any additional items. (She told every party this.) When we let her know we were ready, she had to go get who I assumed was the owner of the place to come take our order. We started with the spinach pie and the falafels. Both were pretty good....can't go wrong when the falafels are fried to a crisp so that almost the whole thing is crispy. The accompanying hummus was good too. (Good work getting the girl to come by and try to push more pita on us for $2,99 when she "checked" how much we had left.) Hubby went with the 7-hour lamb roast and I went with the house combo special (beef skewer, chicken skewer and gyro). Hubby liked his dish which he said was only slightly gamey but very tender and deliciously seasoned. My combo came and I deflated a little when I saw the small skewers of beef and chicken. However, both were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The bland yogurt sauce they give you on the side only detracted from the meats. I wasn't a huge fan of the gyro meat - it was dry and a little overseasoned. We did stick around for dessert - hubby got one of the desserts imported from Milan. MILAN...weird but super tasty. It had hazelnut chocolate in it and crispy bits all over. This item was glorious (and super sweet, proceed with caution). I went with the house-made baklava. I guess the only thing the girl was able to do is take dessert orders. She talked up the baklava and said that they were working on a fresh batch right then. I assumed that meant I would be served from that fresh batch but it didn't seem so when the product was brought out. The baklava was probably just average. All in all, this was an ok meal. I'd venture to guess we may be back to try some of their other dishes at some point down the road. read more

Delicious! I got the gyro sandwich and my husband got the bravo combo with level 5 spice. Both dishes were beautifully presented (even as take out!), warm and super fresh when we got home to eat. The flavors were so good and both meals were very filling! I love that tzatziki sauce the meals come with! We also got the feta dip which came with 3 large fluffy pita breads. It is also very good! Choose your dining spot indoor (tables & booths) or outdoor & your food will be brought out to you in a pretty timely manner -- depending on what time you go. Lunch is served in disposable tableware. Rice/Pita/Salad [5/5] - The rice that comes w/ the lunch entree isn't your typical white rice. It has a unique fluffy light flavored texture. Perhaps it is from the meat's juice?! I seriously get suckered in all the time devouring every last grain esp with the amazing tzakiki sauce :P Hence, a few times i had to refrain myself from having rice & substitute with extra salad. Carb control! - The pita is slightly crispy & delicious w/ the tzakiki sauce! - The house vinaigrette dressing is unique - never had one quite like Bravo Avo's! This was the first time I have eaten at this location. I ordered; Chicken a la Avo; breast of chicken slices, cooked with mixed vegetables, white rice, mixed salad, and pita bread slices. A great combination of flavors. I drank a Diet Coke with my meal. For dessert; Baklava with roasted walnut. Fresh and lightly crispy. It was super duperly delicious. The food here is excellent and fresh, so much to brag about and the waitress is so personable. My complaint is the owner. I had already brought 3 different guests with me on different occasions to eat there and it's not cheap though the food is worth the treat. My problem was that I had formally met the owner when I brought my Italian friend for her birthday and she was so nice talking with us about Italy. Hugging and all. The next time I returned with my husband a week after Valentines. I had reserved a table for Valentines and could not keep it because my husband was couldn't get home in time. He's medical. I tried calling and calling; no answer. Then I tried through apps. I was able to go into one where you make a reservation and just leave a note to break the reservation. Wrote out a paragraph apologizing. Turns out they do not answer their phones during certain times of the day she if you call, forget it. So when I came with my husband a week later, the owner was absolutely rude to me, just short of straight out calling me a liar, telling me that I didn't and they had a table holding for us. She raised her voice again and again; what a horrible experience to deal with her crazy side while her husband stood meekly quiet as well as our usual waitress. I felt bad but again, I explained and she refused to believe me; just treated my like shit. I sat and ate there anyway that day, trying to brush off my humiliation and embarrassment from the lady owner. Paid our bill; I will never return to this restaurant again because of her rudeness towards me. This happened a year ago. Avo is the GOAT. Went here as a volleyball team at around 8 and they accommodated us like pros. There was 16 of us and Avo suggested that we eat family style. They brought out fresh pita and platters of salad first, then brought out platters of rice, chicken, and gyros. It was delicious! The whole staff was super nice and they had us in and out in an hour.
