Bravo Inspection did the inspection on our house in Jamul. For almost a year, we had one repair after another. A number of the repairs we had to have made should have been caught at the inspection by this company; they included a number of plumbing and electrical issues in specific. The worst was they never inspected the spa because they told me the real estate agent we had hired initially (and then had to fire due to incompetence) told them not to worry about the spa. The spa had no GFCI or automatic shut off valve anywhere. The hot tub inspector told us both items are required by California law, and it was unbelievable the home inspector (Bravo) had not seen that and reported it. In addition, there were 8 rats' nests in the spa. We had to have it removed because the spa was dangerous without the GFCI and the automatic shut off valve, and the smell from the rats could never be removed. Do not hire these people!! read more

I feel compelled to write a bad review for this company. They missed so many things that they should have seen on the purchase of our home. The worst thing was, I was misled me into thinking they checked central air condition and even after we moved in I e mailed them about how to use the a/c and they said it was on the Thermostat. (The realtor also listed the house with central a/c on the flyer) There was no Air conditioning at all. They also never mentioned other defects such as the outside plumbing is a mess. Uneven floors, etc. I'm still finding things that I should have known about. My feeling was that it was all a big show! My advise is to never let your realtor hire your Inspection Company. You choose and pay for it yourself. read more

Bravo Inspection Services was hired by our home buyers. David O'Dell was the inspector sent. He was not only invasive in his inspection but, he moved our 48" dual-fuel range out from the wall/counter area for some weird reason (geez, you only need to check that the range works!!!) and he didn't put it back in correctly! Yes, it is HEAVY and now we have to hire someone to make sure thast he not only didn't damage the gas line or the 220 plug but to also put it back correctly! And he also missed seeing BOTH co2/smoke detectors AND the waterheater tie down straps? How do you miss those??? What else did he move & damage & misreport? Time will tell...now we're inspecting our entire house looking for his wake! Someone needs to retire! read more

Bravo Inspection recently performed an inspection at my house. They stated there was a gas leak under my stove so I had SDGE inspect and there was NO gas leak? Stated there was no electrical by the pool when the electrical was turned off at the electrical box? Stated poor drainage, water intrusion by a sliding glass door after the previous night's worst winter storm? Stated my house was on sewer while it is septic? Stated seller's agent present when she was not? Stated gate was locked while having keys in hand? There were several other inconsistencies, but these are pretty basic. read more

I wanted to put this review out there for all the new home buyers entering the market. I recently purchased my house and when it came time to ordering the inspection i went with my Realtor's choice. I agreed to go with David O'dell at Bravo Inspection Services since she swore she had worked with the guy many times and he was great. Well to keep a long story short a company who's vision statement prides themselves on knowledge, experience and professionalism made a huge oversight. My community and many other homes built around the same time had Quest piping for plumbing instead of the traditional copper pipes. Since then there was a widely known recall and class action settlement to home owners with this type of plumbing. So how can a company/guy clearly miss gray plastic piping in my attic, you tell me! It was an $7500 oversight. When i contacted the company they only offered to refund my home inspection fee. A real estate lawyer told me that this clause let's just about any dummy be a home inspector because in California you don't need to be licensed.
