Reached out thru Thumbtack to have my apartment assessed for mold from previous flood damage. I have had to temporarily relocate after having respiratory issues likley related to mold in the apartment. I posted an inquiry on Sunday and was contacted Monday. We had a home inspection done for a house purchase. They had good availability, competitive rate, and our inspector Adam showed up on time and started the inspection promptly. The rating is due to a lack of attention to detail in the inspection. Shortly after we received the keys, we learned that one of the doors didn't close properly and some fencing was being held up by cinder blocks. It was especially a bummer to discover the door issue as it was one that would've caused us to retract the offer. Based on the issue it was having, it seems like a bigger issue with the house. Since then, we've noticed other doors doing something similar. There wasn't any notation of either of these issues in the report and the doors were always left open when we did our walk throughs, so we missed it too. Was hoping a home inspection would have caught something like that. read more

We had an inspection done by Garrett of Cal-West on a house we are buying. My expectations were based on past inspections by other companies that never caught much, so I was incredibly surprised and pleased with this detailed, in-depth inspection. Garrett found problems as small as a wobbly electrical outlet and a serious issue with a leak in the wall behind the shower.
