Review for Bravo Absolutely appalling service, terrible food, and obvious discrimination. I ordered a filet mignon medium, but the kitchen served it well done. I only cut it open to check the doneness, yet the manager accused us of eating the steak just to get a refund. I even had to piece the steak back together to prove we hadn't taken a single bite. The white manager kept a fake, sarcastic smile the whole time with no sincerity at all. Before we even finished our meal, a server came up and directly asked if we wanted a to-go box, without asking how our food was, if we were finished, or if we wanted any dessert. It was clear they were just rushing us out. Their signature dish, pasta bravo, was the worst I've ever had among all Bravo locations. It was served cold, and the pasta was hard like rubber. I have a few questions for this restaurant: ·Is your manager a racist? ·Does your chef even know what medium means, or how to cook a steak to medium? ·Do your servers know how to respect customers? ·Is it your manners to ask for a to-go box while people are still eating, without any basic check-in? I want to start off by saying that Bravo was one of my favorite Italian places for 20+ years. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner there when we got married in 2015 and we have wonderful memories there. That being said we'll never go back after last night. We had to wait 40 extra minutes to be seated despite the fact that we had a reservation. When we were finally seated we had to wait almost 30 minutes for a glass of wine and a beer. My husband's beer was room temp too. We ordered and had to wait about 45 minutes for our food. About half way through our wait we were finally offered some bread and dipping oil. We just ordered a salad, flat bread, a cheese pizza for my kids and my husband ordered the chicken Marsala. The Chicken Marsala was good, but barely warm and the mashed potatoes tasted old. My flatbread was ok, but it was floppy and kind of a weird texture. The ensalata Della casa has been my favorite salad for years and I was really looking forward to it....it was brought to the table after my main course, and it was gross. The lettuce was wilted and not crunchy and fresh at all, there was barely any dressing, and the wonton strips were like chow mein crunchy noodles. I'll be honest -- my first instinct was to focus on the negative. BUT REALLY? -- does that help anybody? .... It's soooooo EZ to complain! I'm taking time because I SEE these people. I UNDERSTAND that they are struggling. I SEE this business is struggling. I'm not gonna kick somebody while they're down. I'm going to hold space for them and give them my business and the support they deserve! The olive oil no longer has that peppery extra-virgin finish it once did. The focaccia is commercially prepared instead of house-baked with love. Sun-dried tomatoes have been replaced with specks of dehydrated sun-dried tomato flakes. Longtime guests will notice ingredient shifts, and it's fair to acknowledge that. But when I stepped back and looked at the bigger picture, I saw something else. I watched the chef prepare a wood-fired pizza with real care and attention. I had a salad dressing that was beautifully balanced and honestly memorable. The staff was professional. The effort in that kitchen was visible. Restaurants are navigating rising costs and supply chain challenges everywhere right now. It's easy to criticize. It's harder to recognize the people still showing up and doing the work. My gut reaction could have been to leave a one-star review. Instead, I'm choosing to lift up the effort I saw. We all deserve the chance to succeed, especially when there is still pride and intention behind the line. It's possible to miss what something once was and still appreciate the drive and determination that you need when fighting to keep the lights on in the face of adversity. Bravo has really taken a dive since the last time I visited one (it's been a really long time). I really had a different experience in mind when we went. The dining area looks bad - neglected with a terrible paint job, old carpet and just cheap. The menu seems to be about the same as I remember - except the food was not good. The caesar salad was below average and I cook better store pasta than what we ate. I think the food and the ambiance at Olive Garden is better than what i experienced . We hosted a large party of teenage girls to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The service was horrible - slow & unresponsive, lagging refills. To top it off, my daughter ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri, and the server rang it in as a regular strawberry daiquiri. Both the manager and bartender came over to apologize for serving my daughter a daiquiri with alcohol. My daughter and I had dinner here the other evening. Sat out on the patio . Haven't been here probably acouple years or so . So thought we would Check it out . I don't like to complain about a place but it was disappointing. John our server was great but the food not so much . We ordered the lobster bisque which was so salty you couldn't eat it . My daughter had the pork chop and it was overcooked. My shrimp Alfredo would have been good but needed more sauce. The only sauce was what stuck to the noodles . The manager came out and apologized and they did not charge us for the lobster bisque and gave us free desert . I felt bad to complain about the food but it was very disappointing. I went to lunch with a large group and everyone else was happy with their food. My Chicken Marsala, however, was inedibly salty. I took it home and ate it later with other food that was unsalted. Not the mashed potatoes, though - they were super lumpy. How can a restaurant send out lumpy mashed potatoes? We drove by this place a lot, decided to give it a shot. I saw the reviews were pretty polarized, and I see why. Firstly, the ambiance is nice. It's a pleasant, good looking restaurant. Service wise, our server was very pleasant, but the service team in general seemed stressed and overworked. We could see folks in the kitchen fussing over plates, trying to find completed orders (it would seem) and having to bring back and forth bags of food from the pickup area. When our food came out, it was lukewarm. My pasta was kinda crusty, almost like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The lobster bisque is awful. Don't order it. Pizza was okay, but sadly probably in line with what you might get at BJ's or something. (Granted, it might have been better if it was fresh and hot, but again, lukewarm.) Calamari was a really bad value. Small portion for the money, and pretty chewy. All in all, won't be coming back. There are too many restaurants in Columbus for us to give this place another shot. We stopped by Bravo for a late lunch. We discovered we were the only patrons and I may know why. Being a server is not an easy job! And it was evident that ours was in the wrong role. Before we even got settled in our seats, he stared at us unsmiling and asked what we wanted. All of the food was brought out at irregular intervals and one dish at a time. He would swing by, unsmiling, and he checked in frequently but didn't stop walking as he asked. I truly felt that he was due to leave for his shift but we may have messed that up for him. He asked if we wanted dessert when we weren't even halfway finished with our meal. Laid the menu down and removed it before we finished eating and didn't give us an opportunity to order dessert. Tuscan Sun was a refreshing drink. Cesar and chopped salads were cold and crisp, which is always a huge plus for us. The Pasta Bravo had 2 small pieces of chicken and no real flavor to speak of. The shrimp scampi is a bit sad as the bread was packed in the same container as the pasta and got very soggy when we ate at the hotel. Fried ravioli would probably taste much better when served right away but it has a nice crunch and the sauce went well. I went to the Bethel Rd location in Columbus, OH on New Year's Eve. We had a reservation for 5:30 PM. The place was clearly understaffed. There was so much take-out going on that the dine-ins were waiting in a line outside. The young woman at the front had no idea how to work the reservation tablet. We waited for 45 minutes, and watched as she mixed reservations with walk-ins. We finally tired of waiting and when to eat at the bar. After we received our appetizers and salads the bartender left and simply did not return. We never received our main course, let alone any refills on drinks. After an hour or waiting, my wife called for the manager. They didn't even try to look for our food. I think it may have never been built. Just charged us for what we ate and offered to email us gift cards. Clear lack of training, short staffed, no concept of workflows, disorganized, and no care of the customer. Had dinner here this past weekend for our group pre Vday dinner. Party of 12, dinner was at 8pm. We arrived it was less than busy and dinner rush was already over. We were greeted by our server about 15 minutes after we were seated. We placed our drink orders and we did not get our drinks until a good 30-35 minutes later. After finally getting our drinks we thought it was best to place our dinner orders immediately. Our food eventually came out about 35 - 40 minutes later after we ordered. We did eventually get some bread after the wives asked for it since the dipping oil plates were there but it didn't come out until right before we got our meals. Not sure if that is customary timing. For dinner, I ordered the lobster bisque for my appetizer and for my main dish I ordered NY strip, medium rare. Instead of the mashed potatoes got alfredo noodles. My lobster bisque was not good, tasted like something from a can. I'm only comparing this to Lindy's in GV village and Ocean Club which are the only places where I've had lobster bisque. Not sure if there is canned but it tasted much more fresh and cleaner than this one. My NY strip had no sear and absolutely no flavor. Alfredo noodles were not al dente it was hard and it was pasty. The asparagus that came with my NY strip was cooked well. My wife ordered chopped salad for her appetizer and lasagna for her main dish. She did like the chopped salad, she did not like the lasagna. I tasted it and it was the absolute worst ever compared to other places. Whatever filling they used it was terrible. It was mushed meat and not ground beef it seems. I don't know if was ricotta or some bechamel sauce but whatever it was, it was not good.. Three of our other friends ordered the salmon. When asked if they would order again, all three said no. Other couple ordered shared the chicken marsala and they also said that was not good. Two other people ordered chicken parmesan. It was horrid looking. I wouldn't even compare it to a frozen dinner because I've never seen frozen chicken parmesan look that bad. They had to ask for sauce because there was no tomato/marinara sauce on the pasta/chicken only a small glump of melted cheese. The chicken piece itself tasted like it was microwaved and just not cooked well. It was a rubbery texture. I've been to Bravo's twice in my life and now i remember why we never went back. Not to mention while we were dining the guy from the pasta/pizza station came over and wanted to have an open discussion about politics how we should all be voting for trump. Regarding the service, Im assuming Darla our waitress had too many tables. Most likely explained the extensive wait time. We all still tipped her generously as she was very nice. Certainly not holding her accountable for the poor quality of the dishes. The bright side of dinner was the ambiance. The layout of the restaurant made me feel like we were in Italy. I seen the outside patio which would probably be amazing in warmer weather. All of us agreed that we would not dine here for the food. It has been over 20 years since I have been to this Bravo Italian Kitchen off Bethel Road. I had the Lasagna with salad with Red Wine Vinaigrette that was delicious while my friend got Spaghetti and Meatballs with Salad. We washed it down with Diet Pepsi and water. I got a Free Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream for my birthday and very yummy. Great service from the lady who served us. The Ambiance remains the same that I went over 20 years ago. Went here with a friend for lunch on Saturday. It was a slow lunch day and I took my 5 month old. I really loved how family friendly they are. As a new mom taking a 5 month old is daunting; especially in a public place. Other customers were interacting with him and it was nice. My family has been going to this Bravo location for the last 10 years. The past two years this location has let us down. There have been numerous times we arrive and there is nobody to wait on us. Last night we had to track down the hostess after 10 minutes of not being greeted by our waiter. Throughout the meal he didn't check on us for awhile. It wasn't just our waiter either. Another table needed to flag down their waiter who didn't check on them. I can't tell if they're understaffed or lack proper management. The portions were way smaller than I remember, so much so that nobody at our table needed a to-go box like normal. What a wonderful first visit to Bravo to celebrate my step-mother-in-laws birthday! I never know what to expect from chain restaurants (understandably I would think), but this experience was great. The highlight of I think the majority of our parties night was our wait staff. Alexis was an outstanding waitress -- truly one of the best I've had in I couldn't tell you how long. Her energy was unmatched, her demeanor was so polite and engaged, and when I tell you she RAN to get us bread, girl had knees to chest. She was doing the absolute most, all while training a new guy. Other than Alexis carrying Bravo on her back, our food was delicious. I got the romano crusted chicken salad and LET ME TELL YOU -- that was delicious. The crust on the chicken was so crispy. For a chain restaurant, this food is actually very good! They have a nice fully stocked bar, and offer several unique cocktails. We were at Bravo with a large group of family members, (about 30) and we had the back dining area to ourselves. We started out with appetizers of fruit and cheese, salads, and fried calamari. The calamari was prepared perfectly, and was served with two sauces for dipping... a marinara, and a francaise. I liked the Francaise, as I've never eaten calamari that way before. Very tasty! For an entree, I had spaghetti with meatballs. The pasta was cooked very nicely. A little more than Al dente, but not overcooked. The meatballs were particularly good. From my taste, I assume they used veal and pork sausage in the mix. Really great flavor! We loved the food, the ambience, and the servers were friendly and efficient. We arrived on time with reservations on NY Eve. The hostess advised they were running late & we would have a wait. When asked for a time estimate, she replied "I have no idea." This was unhelpful, clueless, & kinda rude all at once. Isn't that part of the hostess job? We waited in the unheated foyer, the only available place to wait, where we were hit with a blast of freezing air whenever the door was opened. After 35-40 mins. we were seated. We placed our drink orders about 30 minutes after sitting down, though the waiter apologized several times about not being able to get to us. As he was the only waiter for the entire side section of approx. 50 people, we were inclined to be forgiving. Despite clarifying to him which cocktail I wanted when he read back the wrong one, I received the wrong one anyway. After that wait I wasn't going to send it back, so I accepted it without complaint. It took another 20 mins to place our dinner orders but despite waiting about 45 mins, we still had nothing except bread. Finally the waiter stopped by and admitted he'd forgotten to place our order with the kitchen. He flipped through his scratch pad to look for and confirm what we'd ordered. With apologies he rushed to place our order and from that point our salads/entrees came out fairly quickly. My husband greatly enjoyed his chicken caprese while my spaghetti pomodoro was disappointing. I first tried to order the eggplant Parmesan but they were out. I have ordered the spaghetti before and it used to be prepared with plentiful & large cubes of mozzarella. When the dish came, no mozzarella cubes at all! Without the cubes, this dish of plain spaghetti & sauce is extremely overpriced. The house salad & bread are great. Later our waiter broke out in song to our section and sang to the tune of Willie Nelson's "You Were Always On My Mind" with words about how "maybe he didn't serve us quite as quickly as he could have" and "we were always on his mind". It was quite charming. The food and service at this restaurant has gone downhill over the approx 5 years we have been coming here. We have been a loyal customers of Bravo! for years, but after our recent visit, we will not be returning. I ordered the Pasta Bravo without chicken, a dish I've had numerous times before. When it arrived, the pasta was dry looking, with barely any sauce, and was missing mushrooms. When I questioned the waitress, she told me the manager had instructed her to serve the dish this way, and to tell me if I wanted mushrooms that they would charge me extra if I wanted mushrooms, which I had never been charged anything extra for in the past. I asked to speak with the manager, but after waiting over five minutes, the waitress returned with a small bowl of mushrooms and said she spoke with another manager, who said to bring these over to us. By this point, my pasta was cold, and simply adding mushrooms wasn't going to fix the dish. I asked again to speak with the manager, and after another long wait, Kevin, the manager, finally came over. His attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing or trying to fix the situation, he said, "I don't know what the problem is, just mix it yourself," and added, "I am beyond disbelief that you're even complaining." I was stunned by his dismissive tone and how he turned a simple request into an argument. This level of disrespect toward a longtime customer is both unprofessional and unacceptable. It's clear that something has changed at Bravo! - the service has gone downhill, and the management is unprofessional and disrespectful. After years of enjoying this restaurant, we won't be back. Update: Complete Lack of Follow-Up As suggested by Bravo's Business Manager, Antonio B., I reached out with my contact information to discuss my concerns further. It has now been over a week, and no one from the Bravo! team has responded. This further demonstrates the poor customer service I experienced during my visit and confirms that my initial concerns were justified. Bravo! not only failed to provide a satisfactory experience during my meal but has also failed to follow through on their promise of addressing the issue. We like to get carry out from here once in a while. It's close to home and the food and the service have been consistently good most of the time. Yesterday evening (Friday) was another story. I used the online ordering from the bravo website for pick up. It noted that the food would be ready at 7:34 pm, about a 30 minute wait. Perfect. I got there right on time and waited for over 20 minutes to get the food. I texted my wife when I got to my car with the food at 7:58. It was strange, like the order was lost. At maybe 7:45 I was asked inside the restaurant exactly what I ordered and someone wrote it down like I was placing another order. I didn't get it exactly right so we didn't end up getting the extra chicken with the lasagna. I forgot to mention that to the person writing it all down. We also didn't get any containers of oil for the bread. The rest of the food was not hot. I got a pasta dish with Alfredo sauce. The sauce seemed to be in the bottom of the container so the pasta was a bit dry. After stirring it was somewhat better. Since the food tasted fine after some microwaving and the salads were perfect I'm giving 3 stars. I almost did 2 stars for what seemed to be a lost order and for it not being addressed sooner, when I walked into the restaurant. This is the first time that something like this has happened here. Maybe a technical glitch? I love online ordering but this type of thing has happened to us a few times now at other places. I've been a customer at Bravo! Italian Kitchen on Bethel Rd. in Dublin for nearly 20 years. The food in good, but the portions are small for the price. In recent years, the service has been severely lacking. Hence the 2 star review. This evening, we ordered dinner for curbside pickup. The confirmation message said that our order would be ready for curbside pickup at 7:23pm. We arrived at 7:25pm and parked in the designated curbside pickup parking. The sign directs curbside pickup customers to call the number listed on the sign to let them know that they have arrived. They don't have the technology to check in via text. I dialed the number and it took 6 minutes and 37 seconds for someone to answer the phone. The woman on the phone said the order wasn't ready yet and she would bring it out to us as soon as it is ready. We waited and waited, but I finally went inside to find out what's going on. The woman working the host/hostess stand was standing there doing absolutely nothing, and when I said that I've been waiting for 30 minutes for our order, she points to a bag sitting on the counter and says, "It's right there." It had been sitting there getting cold. There was no explanation and no "thank you" - nothing. I regret leaving a tip for curbside pickup when I placed the order on their awful app. When I got home, I was really not happy, so I called to speak with the manager. The person who answered the phone put me on hold to get the manager. After being on hold for 5 minutes, someone clearly pickup the call and immediately hung up. I wish I could say that this was an isolated service related incident, but the service has been consistently poor. Service was terrible and the food wasn't great either. The restaurant was understaffed. We asked about getting bread and told someone else would do it and it never appeared. Ordered drinks early and didn't receive them till mid meal. Then one was meeting. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants! What happened? read more

I just bought dinner for myself and my husband and I have to say we were very disappointed in the food. Bravo used to be a really good restaurant with good food but today our dinner was not good. I ordered chicken parma and my husband asked for angel hair pasta with meat sauce the said they no longer have angel hair pasta! So he took regular pasta my dish had no red sauce on the pasta just a butter herb sauce who wants that on pasta! Then to get the discount you had to have a total of 50.00 dollars so I ordered cheese cake and it was so soft like they didn't even refrigerate it! It will be a long time before we go back, just very disappointing and to top it off I complained to the manager and he said well it states on the menu but I didn't order from the menu just called and ordered. read more

Went there weekend before last. No lunch menu available. Really? No. Here's the dinner menu. At 11:30am? Nope. No lunch menu. On top of that, the prices listed on the dinner menu they gave are higher than the prices they list online. I figure they owe me money at this point. The cherry on top was when I got home and decided to contact them about it all. Nowhere--nowhere--is a physical mailing address available for whatever group now owns/manages Bravo. It's simply not to be found. The only avenue is their "contact us" web page. And guess what? They never responded to my query. Of course they didn't--they didn't have any answers. Go to Bravo at your own risk. At your wallet's risk. And understand, they don't give a hoot about you as a customer. You are a wallet walking in the door, that they are entitled to empty.
