We had such a nice experience! My husband and I were served by Darris, and he was fantastic. He was attentive without being overbearing, kept our drinks full, and made an excellent dirty martini. Our food came out quickly, and everything was delicious. I'm honestly surprised this place isn't busier because the happy hour prices are amazing and the service was top notch. We'll definitely be back and hope to have Darris as our bartender again. The only improvement I would suggest is expanding the bourbon selection a bit. If they added a few more bourbon options, it would make an already great experience even better. read more

On Saturday June 6th, we unfortunately had a 30th birthday party scheduled at another venue cancelled at the last minute due to the storms. We called Brio and they were gracious enough to accommodate a last minute group of 20 people. Our waitress was beyond amazing, kind and accommodating. Everyone received their food and drinks quickly and correctly. She was right there if we need anything and even cut the cake we brought and added sparklers. She included a huge martini glass filled with an ice cream sundae for the birthday girl. We couldn't be more thankful! Brio and staff... well done! I highly recommend, 10/10! read more

Was finally able to try the weekend brunch at Brio's with my bestie ! I ordered Berry Waffles, with a side of Eggs and Bacon. While the eggs and bacon were quite tasty, the waffles were a little too hard + crunchy for my liking. What I always enjoy most about Brio's when I visit is the atmosphere. Upon taking in other reviewers experiences as of late with this Brio location @ Polaris, I suddenly don't feel so bad about our awful experience last night and let's be clear, our experience was not our accountability as the paying customers. This is all on Brio-Polaris. We've been to this location before and last night was the absolute worst. Positives: Got an early reservation on OpenTable (no kidding no one goes anymore). Arrived early checked out the bar wide open with only 2 other people at the far end. The hostess team was awesome just amazing and quickly noted our arrival and wish to eat at the bar. That was the last of the positives. Thanks a ton to the professional and friendly hostess team. Everything else: The other two customers at the far end of the bar had their drinks/food. We sat for about 20 min before the one bartender acknowledged us and asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for a glass of cab not house but in between and a lemon martini (can't recall the specific name) for my husband. Again, no one else at that the bar yet and it took 20 min for our drinks. He asked if we wanted any food we asked for calamari. He started to leave then came back. "Do you want the happy hour calamari or the other one?" Fair question we said happy hour. Cannot make this up 20 min later comes the calamari which was a little cold making it not a great app. My husband is a patient person. When I asked what he was ordering us next he took the menu, added up what we ordered with the two drinks and app, put down the cash plus tip and we were out. We tipped him cash left on the bar. We paid for our food cash left on the bar and left for Eddie Merlot's. Two different types of establishments with a wide range of experiences. We appreciate exceptional service and are willing to pay for it. How in the world was this one bartender in charge of the bar by himself and the tables behind it in the bar area alone? We were here over the holidays and it was a completely different experience overall which is why we returned. This location is suffering and there's another one at the Easton location which clearly functions way differently. When we looked at OpenTable their reservation options didn't open up until the 8 pm hour and it was 5ish. No kidding. The patrons go where there is optimal service and food and YES, we have been there multiple times so we can speak to those experiences first hand. Brio-Polaris is not a well run establishment. I feel Brio is the place that offers a dish for everyone. It is a beautiful interior and a great place to seat large groups. I am not sure why their online reservation does not work (says no availability), so I had to call to reserve. The complimentary bread was delicious. I got the chicken limone for dinner. I really enjoyed it as I wanted something without pasta. I found it to be a right balance of rich and flavorful. The restaurant was nice enough to set up a separate table for the girls aged 5-10 next to our table. They had a great time. My friends got the lemonade in different flavors and both found them overly sweet. Two friends also received the wrong order. They ordered the shrimp and scallop risotto, but were served a side portion of shrimp risotto. They corrected the order, but it took long on a busy Friday night, so they took it to go. Years ago this place was great. We stopped dining at this location because service and quality declined after the Brio was sold from a local company to a large national one. I recently visited with a group of five friends on a Saturday evening--- the service was horrible from start to finish. No dishes were cleared between courses. Birthday dessert was plated in carry out containers instead of regular plates---yet they still bothered to put a candle in it?? We left a regular tip but felt our server did not earn it. Been here many times and enjoyed dinners. Last night our visit on my birthday was expected to be lovely. I ordered a New York strip steak and my wife got the salmon. I've had the salmon before and it never disappoints. However my steak was the toughest piece of meat I've had in a long time. It was over cooked. I asked for medium and got well done. I should have sent it back but I'm too nice. Our waitress Maudia was good and attentive enough. So my recommendation is don't order a New York strip unless you want to really exercise your jaw muscles. read more

Terrible service in their bar area for Happy Hour. Met a few friends for Happy Hour. I ordered 2 drinks. Waitress informs me it is illegal to serve me 2 drinks, but will start making second drink when I start drinking my first drink. Now I know this incorrect but went with it. Then she came back to my table to inform me that it's highly illegal for her to make me a second drink until my first drink was finished. She started how she won't break the law & she could lose her job & be arrested. OMG...this is completely false. And the place was dead, so it's unclear why they would treat 4 middle age women this way. This was our monthly spot but will not ever go back. read more

I've eaten at Brio many times and enjoyed it over the years so I'm giving a few extra stars for those experiences. The vibe isn't anything exciting but it's open and airy. The food is good, when hot and correct and I absolutely love their bread. Although I don't get out that often these days and usually opt to try somewhere new when I do. Having said that we had a few gift cards so we decided to get takeout. It ended up being pretty disappointing. We picked up our food right on time and it was ready close to that time however it was not correct. I asked if we could get bread with our food and the hostess said yes there is always bread in there and was kind of unfriendly about it. I checked the number of bags, and the extra box ended up being a random hunk of mozzarella or burrata cheese that didn't come with either of our orders. After waiting for them to make my husband's meal correctly by the time we got home my food was cold as well as our appetizer, our baby was crying because he fed late, and the hostess was barely apologetic for the inconvenience. When I was in high school one of my first jobs was a hostess at the Easton location and I remember being paid extremely well but the managers having high expectations for our work as we were the face of the restaurant. Not sure if that is still the case but it did not seem to be last night. If we had been paying with actual money, and not gift cards it would have been more frustrating. We came in for a Sunday brunch. Kids French toast was a little dry/hard, but that didn't stop my daughter. The side of fruit didn't come out and we had to ask for it. Our waitress seemed so busy that it took a while to get it. My husband and I both ordered peach Bellini and the Bistecca alla Romano which is basically a poached egg sitting atop a small piece of steak and a fried tomato. The flavor was great, but the egg was overcooked. Neither of us got that runny yolk when we cut into it. Perhaps our food was sitting in the window a little long. The peach Bellini was possibly the highlight of the whole experience. Delicious! All in all we enjoyed it but there is room for improvement. read more

On January 10th at 5:00 PM my husband placed an order with Brio in Polaris Fashion Place Mall in Lewis Center. We were given a 5:26 pick up time.  This order was for my birthday dinner, and the food was delicious. So there were no complaints there. Our order was also well packed by staff with no missing items. After we finished our dinner, my husband just happened to check our online receipt because originally we were going to use a gift card I'd received for my birthday. Unfortunately, Brio doesn't honor any gift cards on online orders, so my husband paid by credit card. While checking the receipt, my husband noted that we'd been overcharged. My husband tried to rectify the overcharge with the restaurant manager over the phone but they refused to help us. I tried contacting their corporate offices twice via their online forms but Brio never even responded to my request for a refund in the amount they overcharged us.  Every time we've provided both the restaurant receipt and the email receipt, so there isn't any question that they overcharged us. Because we still had the gift card I'd received for my birthday, we decided to place another order. My husband thought if he went into the restaurant and provided the manager with our receipts, they would issue a refund. Unfortunately, the manager lied to my husband and told him the overcharge had been refunded. My husband contacted our credit card company and we were informed there was no refund issued.  We've never experienced such irresponsible and unethical behavior from any restaurant and certainly didn't expect this from Brio. The dishonesty and lack of accountability is reprehensible! My husband and I have been loyal patrons of Brio for nearly 30 years. My husband always tips 18% on all carry out orders, as he did with these orders. It's inexcusable that Brio has shown such utter disregard for us by lying to us and refusing to refund the amount of the overcharge. Obviously, Brio has lost us as customers because we'll never go back after this experience. Fortunately, for us, there are plenty of wonderful Italian restaurants in our area who will be happy to have our business. read more

Their wait time was not realistic at all. They told me a 2 and a half hour wait & it only ended up being 20 minutes, ODD. The staff was completely rude. I almost didn't want to give them my business. The calamari was 0% fresh & incredibly chewy. My meal was good, but for what you get, it isn't worth the price. It is no better than an Olive Garden. I will not be back here. I think the portions here are usually fairly decent for the quality and price. I got the double cut lamb chops and I was sort of disappointed by them. I ordered medium, but these came close to medium well/well done side of the spectrum. It taste decent, but I def wish that I wouldn't gotten what I requested. I want to file a complaint, My family and I visited your Polaris location and let me tell you I was mortified!! The past several visits my husband told me that he does not wish to spend any more money at your restaurants due to portion size, wait time and general cleanliness. Today was the worst I've ever seen. We set at the bar, ordered coffee and some food. As we were waiting, the bartenders were lacking response. We received water and just set there waiting. Kept waiting for a good 25min before we got our food, salads and pizza. The salad was extremely small for $24, and we set there what seem to be forever without silverware. Note-We were still waiting on our coffee at that point. Once we received the silverware that I had to ask for due to the lack of communication, it was super dirty (food particles) on two sets. The butter had wine splash on, the coffee cups had lipstick on and had to be replaced twice (two different cups were dirty) I ended up asking for a to go cup. The milk was ice cold after I asked warm/steam milk and made clear that I wanted to make my own latte. The bartenders were not operating in a general hygiene practices, removing dirty glasses and cleaning counters as they set new drinks to customers without cleaning their hands in between. I felt like I'm at a low rated bar in downtown Columbus. We were not asked if we needed anything at any point up until we nearly finished our food, I had to ask for everything as there was low communication with the staff. Between the low communication, the small but expansive unappealing portions, the dirty dishes and the filthy bathroom- I have finally had my fill. I've been visiting your restaurants between 6-8 times a year for the past Fifteen years and after Covid the restaurants started going down in quality value and service. Yes, I am but one loyal customer+family but my large family and friends network have been visiting your restaurants due to my recommendations. I will retract my recommendation moving forward. Went to brio last night and the meal was amazing from start to finish! We got the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, a side Caesar salad, then split this flatbread. The flatbread was wonderful and so flavorful. Usually I'm not a flat bread person but this one was amazing. Then the two apps were delicious as well! Drinks: I was worried my standards for the drinks were to high but the bar was already on the ground and they still managed to trip over it. The wine selection is subpar at best. The bartender obviously has no experience making mixed drinks what so ever because none of the 4 ordered were made correctly and they were very simple drinks. Prices: Everything is overpriced its not worth it spent over $70 here and will not be returning ever. Not worth the amount of money spent. Overall would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I truly have never had an experience like this one before which was truly disappointing to say the least. To start, we had a reservation, we walked through the door and the host stand is immediately right there. No one to be found for at least 5 minutes. Other groups start to come in and still no one. We peaked around to find a worker and couldn't spot anybody. Finally a girl comes around the corner and was very surprised to see people at the front door and even made a comment along the lines of "wow there is people up here". We finally get sat, and it took a long while for our actual server to come. Unfortunately, I do think this place is going downhill, maybe just this specific location. We got our appetizer in and following that, placed our food order. Well, from the time we placed our order to actually get the food, it took close to 40 minutes. We had the actual chef come around to our table and ask "have you guys got your entrees?" This was one of many red flags. One of our entrees included steak & it was definitely not cooked to how it was supposed to be, had to send it back. A couple of our dishes were tasteless, no flavor. The only somewhat okay dish was the lasagna. I have worked in the industry for many years, and I would have offered free dessert, or something off the bill for how our dining experience went but unfortunately some establishment's don't run this way to bring back customers. We spent $209 for six entrées on DoorDash and the portions were so small, They were not even enough for one person each. Add to that, we got two small pieces of bread for the entire order When I called to speak to the manager she argued with me, insisting that they are portion controlled from corporate office. Her tone was very condescending and rude. When I started talking again, she said well have a nice day and hung up on me. We will never be going to Brio again and will make sure that our friends know about this kind of treatment from the manager. The way she handled this from a business standpoint was poor and she could've done much better to alleviate the situation. We did not ask for any money back. We love stopping in to Brio for their happy hour. It's available anywhere in the restaurant which is nice because that makes it more kid friendly. They have great drink specials and food specials - we have tried their HH burger, flatbreads, and calamari. Prices are great and service is friendly. read more

I don't know what happened tonight. We decided to get take out Brio since it's Valentine's Day.. Brio used to be our very favorite restaurants, but ever since the management or ownership changed, it's so different. Let me tell you about or order tonight: We ordered... spinach and artichoke dip, a $7 Caesar salad, a margarita flatbread, and the eggplant and shrimp appetizer.... We were COMPLETELY MISSING the spin dip, the Caesar salad was so pitiful and had about 10 pieces of lettuce shreds that didn't even cover the bottom of the container, the margarita pizza had ZERO basil (which makes a margarita pizza).. and we got calamari with sauces spilled everywhere (which we didn't order, nor like). Disappointing. We went for lunch, Dec. 28 around12:30- a Wednesday. We were seated quickly as no one else was in line. Our waiter was over quickly and took our orders; he, of course wrote nothing down, as is typical lately. The carpaccio was delicious- the rest of the food was okay - well, when it finally arrived! Our waiter apologized and said he would give us free desserts or take some off the bill; neither of those things happened. We had to remind him of our cappuccino after our food was served - probably would have remembered if allowed to write it down. My pesto and pasta was overflowing with olive oil, maybe three pieces of baby broccoli and possibly ten pieces of diced asparagus. Wood fired pizza was just okay. Over an hour and a half later we headed for home with take out bags. Today, I took out my pasta to warm it up. The gelatinous oil was scraped aside as much as possible. Went here yesterday with my boyfriend we got the Truffle garlic toast ricotta for an appetizer and was disappointed for it to taste like it was marinated in olive oil. My boyfriend got the pasta Brio and it looked very good you could smell the peppers and the dish was vibrant but it wasn't flavorful at all. However our server Mauadia ended helping him with other entree suggestions and gave him all the time he needed to decide. While deciding my boyfriend talked to Alex about his favorite dishes on the menu and gave wonderful suggestions as well. It was my first time going to this place, and when I tell you, the service was terrible, it took forever to get a waiter even longer to get water.. and I didn't think I was ever going to get my food. and once we received the food it was terrible. My steak was not edible it was super dry so at this point I just asked to speak to a manager, me being an African-American woman, and seeing that people around me of the opposite race was being served promptly and was being paid attention to.
