I talked my fiance into going to the Polaris Carrabba's last friday evening 07/31/2026. This is one of my favorite restaurants, especially pre- corporatization. Since then we have seen the prices increase and the serving sizes getting smaller ,however, that is Par for the course since everyone is doing that. I have always received good service from the staff, until this particular evening. The young lady that was supposed to be our server came over took our drink orders etc, my fiancé mentioned that we were extra hungry and ready to place our orders. Our server stated she would bring our drinks and more bread right away. the drinks came but the bread did not arrive. My fiancé ordered a salad and it didn't come until our food arrived. I basically had to stare this server down to get her attention several times. She only had 2-3 tables that she was equally ignoring because she was too busy flirting with the male server that was on duty. I dont have an issue with single servers flirting and trying to get a date with their co-workers but I was hungry and expected my food to be served in a reasonable timeframe. I always tip but the service was so poor that I considered not tipping. Truly, the only reason that I tipped is that she baged out take home meals. Looking back I wish I would have called over a manager because there was no reason that our service was slow or lacking, I could have done a better job and I have never worked as a server. After not eating at Carrabba's in decades, an unexpected change of plans brought us back. We had intended to eat at Texas Roadhouse next door, but when we were told the wait was one hour and 10 minutes, we decided to walk over to Carrabba's instead. Ironically, after leaving a steakhouse, we both ended up ordering steak at an Italian restaurant! We chose the Dinner & Dolce, a three-course dinner for two for $45, and I thought it was an excellent value. My first course was Mama Mandola's Sicilian Chicken Soup, which was probably my favorite surprise of the evening. It was substantial, with plenty of vegetables, little pieces of pasta and a generous amount of chicken. The broth had some body to it and a pleasant peppery flavor. I could almost have made a meal out of the soup and bread alone. For my entrée, I had the 7-ounce Tuscan-Grilled Sirloin with sautéed broccoli and sautéed spinach, a $2.29 premium-side upgrade. Both vegetables had distinctive sautéed flavors that made them more interesting than I expected. My sirloin was a thinner cut and came out somewhat beyond the medium-well degree of doneness I requested. It was a little tougher than the thicker sirloin at our table, but mine was still flavorful, well seasoned and not overly dry, so I didn't feel the need to have it replaced. Our server, Valerie, was absolutely outstanding. When we mentioned the difference between the steaks, she immediately offered to have mine redone or make an adjustment. I declined, but I greatly appreciated the response. Manager Erika also came to our table to personally follow up on our feedback and hear about our experience. We finished with tiramisu to share. Overall, between the food, the impressive value of Dinner & Dolce, and especially the outstanding service from Valerie, this was an easy five-star experience. SEVEN WORDS: AUTHENTIC BRNAD-BORNE CUISINE IN RUSTIC, COMFY CONFINES. . wOW. We've been to Carabba's Two Times, Recntly. Both times, we weren't just satisfied, but we were completely happy: with the Service, the Great Old World Atmosphere with Upscale furnishings, and Simply Exquisite Italian Food. . On our most recent trip, my wife and I arrived without reservations (no reservations called in and made) - and were quickly seated within 10 minutes at a table for four (even though it was Saturday, just bast prime dinner time - around 7pm.) We promptly ordered Calamari and our Sodas. The dish came out in about 15 minutes - not perfectly fast, but worth the slightest of waits. The Calamari was smallish, all ringlets, each under and inch cross - maybe closer to a 1/2 inch. Still, the breading was very light and crisp, the seasoning was not unlike you'd find on any higher class couton, and the calamari themselves were dusted with a gentle touch of Parmagiano Reggiano - wow. Fantastic, even with the smaller size. We could've eaten twice as much. So, so good. . As the waiter came to refill our sodoas, we placed our order for a single Entree, split for two. We did this becausxe we already know that Carabba's has huge servings and we had eaten a few times in the last serveral days - with leftoves stacking up at home. The waiter was graceful and accomodating; no epectation of a "bad tipper" or high-maintenance patrons. She was as hospitiable as any waitress in any situation, good o bad - maybe moreso. . We'd ordered the Tuscan-Grilled Chicken. It was light and moist - which is always a pleasure for any Grilled Chicken Breat, no matter where you get it. It had a great Olive Oil Glaze and was tossed with a simple roux that was upgraded with both a late fold of Pamesean Cheese and a bit of fresh Garlic. Both came out clearly, but neither interrupted the other. As I said, it was just enough for the two of us - and with a VERY LOW Bill of $ Dollars for One Over-Sized Entree, one Appetizer, and two Sodas, that's more than reasonable. We tipped 3%, to accomodate the "Suspected price of two patons eating," and still left very happy, under-charged, and - as my wife says - "Our Tummies Dancing with Joy." . We went out on Mother's Day to a certain steakhouse only to find a 70-minute wait time. And we were starving! So we walked across the parking lot and got right in at Carabba's, where we had a delightful meal. Great house salads, nice warm bread with oil and herbs, and we all liked our entrees. I got spaghetti and meatballs, hubby got a pork chop and kiddo got fettuccine Alfredo. The best part of the meal was this HUGE slab of cannoli cake which I got in a to-go box because I knew I'd never finish it in one shot. Service was great and overall I have no notes! Visited this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago with a friend, who suggested we dine here as it's one of her favorite places. Anyone that knows me, knows I love Italian food, and my usual favorite spot is Marcella's. Nevertheless, I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered their popular trio of lasagna, chicken Parmesan, and fettuccine. My meal was decent but not great. I'm personally not a fan of their choice in sauce. Now, what I am a fan of is their bread + seasoned dipping oil. I couldn't get enough of that. I also ordered their strawberry cheesecake + that was just as great. I would visit Carrabba's again but it will be hard to compete with my top fave Italian restaurant, Marcella's. I regularly order from Carabas 's in a different Ohio city. Normally I don't have a problem. Really disappointed today at this location in Columbus. Let's start with the chops. They are tasty, but overcooked. I specifically ordered medium and these are well done. That's not the biggest problem though, because they are still grilled pork chops and they could definitely be worse. My biggest problems are with the fettuccine Alfredo and the spinach. The spinach is salty to the point of being inedible. But the fettuccine Alfredo is even worse. I didn't choose it as a complimentary side, but paid extra for the more expensive side that was not included. I would bet money that this was premade and just set in the small to go cup. The noodles have zero texture and there's almost no Alfredo sauce at all. I paid 8 dollars for this small cup of what may as well have been wide ramen noodles. Takeout is not less expensive, so how about pay more attention to the takeout orders? Do better. read more

My boyfriend and I went for dinner. It was a slow week night. We got sat in the bar area without getting asked right by the door on a cold night. It was freezing. I had to keep my coat on. You could tell we were uncomfortable and nothing was being done. I did not want to be a Karen though. My booth was so squeaky. I couldn't sit back on it or it would make the most loudest annoying noises LOL. We got glasses of wine for dinner with this little appetizer on top, it was adorable but the meat was definitely old or funny colored. It for sure had been sitting out for a little bit. The bread was average. Our dinners were amazing. I got the Carbonara. I would highly recommend. Our waitress was mean. She was not having it at all lol. No kindness, no customer service, nothing extra. We weren't there for long, didn't take a long time to order, didn't ask for anything special, so I didn't understand the treatment. You could tell she worked behind the bar as well. She did not like her job or us haha. Bad day maybe?! We won't be back. We were not impressed by any means. We wish you all the best though. I ordered from Carrabba's Sandwich Bistro through Uber Eats because they had a promo and I figured, why not? I got the chicken parm sandwich with fries. The fries were fresh and really good, crispy and well seasoned. The sandwich was decent, but not amazing. It needed more sauce and cheese, and honestly, there was more bread than chicken, which kinda threw it off. That said, I'd still give them another shot. Not a very good experience last night. Will not go again to this restaurant. First of all, the bread they serve was super hard. They had to MAKE a batch of our sangria! Waitress was pleasant. It was 6pm and they had no carrots for my meal, had to get another side. Husband ordered a salad and on the bottom of the plate it had chocolate cake smeared over it onto our table. I ordered a pork chop which was tasty but it had a ton of pepper and salt all over it. Could not eat a lot of it. My husband did enjoy his trout, but asked for mashed potatoes and never got them. I ordered chicken noodle soup and it turned out to be chicken vegetable soup. It was a little too spicy for me. Then to top it off, we received the wrong check. This is always a great place to go for some delicious Italian food. It's more upscale than Olive but it's but super upscale and too pricey. I love the herbs and olive oil with the warm, crispy bread they start you out with. It's absolutely delicious. I can't go here and not order the veal Marsala. I don't know of anywhere else around Columbus to get it. It's always on point. The Caesar salads are really good. The dressing is flavorful and delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes are so good. My husband always gets the house salad. He loves the creamy house dressing. And always orders the Pollo Rosa Maria. It's been a few years since we have been here. I would ask to improve the food. Especially if you ordered a takeout. The Lasagna, was as poor as a frozen tv dinner type meal. The chicken parmesan, served with just that , no pasta no nothing. Public school meals are actually comparable in taste , If you eat in, it is much better after a glass of wine, but for take out food , forget about it , do not waste your time and money. She was a delight and went above and beyond to assure our evening was grand. Thank you. We ate Shrimp Scampi, Lobster Ravioli, Eggplant Parmesan, Filet Mignon and topped it off with New York cheesecake. The plates were given special attention to detail that attracts the eye and palet. They offer variety of menu items from appetizers, entrees and desserts. Their portion size is generous and usually have consistent good services. The Four Cheese & Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms is always my go to appetizer. The juicy mushroom stuffed with sausage, spinach, and cheese, along with the tomato cream sauce. I like the super rich and creamy white wine lemon butter sauce from the Fettuccine Weesie. The mushroom and scallions help to balance out the richness of the sauce. If you happen to leave room for dessert [like me], you should try out the Cannoli Cake. The vanilla cake is super moist, topped with the mini cannoli, chocolate chips and pistachios. read more

UPDATE - Hadn't been to Carrabba's for a while but it was worth the return. We ordered the Linguine Positano and the Fettuccine Weesie, both Carrabba's classic dishes, and weren't disappointed. I love the menu and I love the food. I will say that everytime I come the temperature on the food is warm. My sides are never hot which is concerning. When I order the Marsala the mashed potatoes are almost room temp. Last night I ordered a sirloin that was not real hot and my asparagus was almost cold to the touch. The sever yesterday evening was also playing around over by where people cook with the female staff. Drinks took time to be refilled while he played around. Took forever to get our payment again cause he was playing around. Check the cameras between 4 and 5. Carrabba's is my absolute favorite chain restaurant. It has been years since I have eaten in one, only because i moved 3 years ago to an area where the nearest one is 3 hours away. On my Columbus trip, my family decided to come and eat at Carrabba's because we so missed eating at this chain restaurant. So glad we did! Firstly, we received excellent service like you expect from Carrabba's. We only waited a few minutes to be seated and we put in our drink order with the waitress. My brother got a beer, while my mother and I both ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio. We ordered two appetizers: meatballs and ricotta as well as shrimp scampi. The meatballs were tender and flavorful. The shrimp scampi is to die for. I could just eat that appetizer as my meal, and I was seriously considering it when we first were looking at the menu. We also of course got the delicious complimentary bread that you dip it into olive oil. I love olive oil and bread, so we certainly asked for more than one of those. My brother ordered a caesar salad, while my mother and I both got bowls of soup. She got the Sicilian chicken soup, while I had the spicy lentil. They both enjoyed their choices, I absolutely loved mine. It really was spicy and it warmed me up considering it had been a day in the 20s. Our main course selections were as follows: My brother got the fettuccini weesie, my mother got lobster ravioli, while i ordered two pork chops in marsala sauce and mashed potatoes. The food was perfectly done! By the time we finished, we were stuffed. We had no room left for dessert and it was certainly difficult to walk out of the restaurant. So I was there a few weeks ago and my experience was not good. I spoke to the general manager Doug Elliott, he asked me to give it another chance and we did tonight. We are so glad we did. Our server was Riley and she was freaking awesome. Some of the best service I've ever had. We watched that girl bust her ass and take care of four or five tables seamlessly. Doug came over to check on us at the end of the meal to make sure everything was good and I let him know that it was perfect and wonderful and that we will be back again. On a visit to the Columbus Zoo we stayed overnight near the carrabbas restaurant. It wanting to take the granddaughter in, we ordered pick up with the website take out. The process was easy, simple and fast. I ordered the chicken carbonara and Caesar salad ! It was prepared hot and fresh. I would highly recommend this location to anyone staying near by. We have not been here for so many years. We decided we would give it a try again. We were so totally surprised by how wonderful this place was! There is a fantastic lunch special that includes soup, salad and your choice of select smaller entrées. It is so much food for $9.99! Our server was a classic old-school server. We have been going to this restaurant since it opened and sadly it will be our last. I gave it 2 stars because of the flavor of the food. My husband had fettuccine as a side(had to pay up charge of $2.98) and it was noodles with watered down sauce- looked like buttered noodles. The size of the chicken Bryan was extremely small and dry- certainly not worth the price. The chicken Marsala was small also. Salad and bread was best part of meal. Other than my actual meal, our experience at this Carabba's location was sadly disappointing (and I absolutely love, love Carabba's)! We had a 20-minute wait which wasn't too bad compared to the other restaurants in the area (for a Wednesday night). Our server/service was pretty poor the whole night! We started off with the usual complimentary bread. This was good; however, it took a while to get the requested balsamic glaze that Carabba's used to serve with the olive oil for bread dipping. Then we had to request (a few times) for extra bread, small plates, silverware, and extra napkins. We started off with the Mozzarella Marinara. These lacked cheese which made them hard to eat (basically we were just eating deep-fried breading). We were then served our Caesar Salads. This was just washed up romaine scattered throughout the small plate with croutons. There was no Caesar dressing/parmesan cheese. Finally, we were served our main dishes. I am the only one that actually enjoyed my dish. I ordered the Short Rib Marsala. I was nervous after ordering the dish as a customer next to us had her plate returned as she did not like the dish at all. We overheard the waitress tell her that it was a "hit or miss" dish. Well, it was a semi-hit for me! I loved the tenderness of the short rib and the savory flavor of the Marsala sauce! They were both so good! While the garlic mashed potatoes could have been whipped up a little better and had more flavor/seasonings added to it, it was edible with the Marsala sauce. (Sometimes you just have to combine the flavors)! My daughter ordered Buttered Noodles and my husband ordered the Chicken Trio which is served with Chicken Bryan, Polla Rosa, and Chicken Marsala. My daughter's noodles lacked butter and were pretty chewy. My husband enjoyed the chicken in his trio; however, did not enjoy the pasta as they were complete mush. I am not sure we will return to this Carabba's location; however, will definitely return to a different location! read more
