Sicilian Pizza
Lisa D.

My husband and I stopped by Bravo before the Chris Stapleton concert at the Schott back in July. We had a reservation at 5:30 PM and were seated immediately. For drinks, my husband had a Stella and I ordered the white peach sangria. The sangria was alright. I struggle when restaurants put so much ice into the glass that it completely waters the drink down. For food, we enjoyed the complimentary bread and oil - always good! I also ordered the lobster bisque. The bisque had great flavor and was super creamy; however, there was very little to no chunks of lobster in the bisque (sadly disappointing). For meals, my husband had the Sicilian pizza and I had the shrimp fra diavolo. While my husband enjoyed all of the meat on top of his pizza, the crust was extremely soggy. The meat also kept falling off the pizza which he did not enjoy. I, on the other hand, really enjoyed my dish! The campanelle noodles and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the sauce was super savory and delish! I will definitely be ordering the shrimp fra diavolo again!

My first time here and I walked into a beautiful restaurant. Very well kept. Waiters were all friendly and polite. This was a pleasant surprise. You pay just a little more but it's worth the experience. The food is top shelf. We had the fettuccine and chicken, a dish called pasta woozie. As well as the margarita pizza. It was a soft thin crust. Perfectly done. I love dining in and not feeling rushed. Life is hard enough. I'm tired of feeling like cattle. So bravo to Bravo Italian kitchen for allowing me to have a relaxing great lunch experience.

Friendly and efficient service. Five of us ordered with separate checks and we all got our correct orders and checks. Everyone was satisfied with their food. I have two complaints. One is that there's a BIG sign right next to the hostess desk advertising Happy Hour Prices on Wednesday from 3-6 for cocktails and bites. Terrific! We arrived around 5 and asked about those, only to be told that was only valid at the bar (or maybe in the room with the bar?). Either way, we were in the wrong room so nope, no Happy Hour specials for us. Then why the huge sign which does not specify "only in the bar"?? My other complaint is that the oil that came with the bread was too salty. I took one bite of bread that I had put in the oil and if I hadn't been in a restaurant with friends, I would've spit it out. It was that bad. Inedibly salty! My chicken caprese was good, maybe a tad heavy on the balsamic glaze but still good.

What a beautiful experience for a Christmas Day lunch while traveling through the area. Norman was a fabulous waiter who engaged with my kids, offered wonderful recommendations, and provided quick service. The kids options were the same quality as adult entrees which is important to our family. The portions were large and filling. We will definitely consider again when in Columbus.

I organized a lunch for some of my high school classmates. I had a reservation and 19 came. Class of 1966 so we are of an age. :). We had the most amazing experience. Our waiter Monte was over the top. Gave everyone their own check. The orders were all correct. The food was delicious and was served quickly. We all hung around and talked and took pictures. A perfect place for this type of get-together. So many places fuss at separate checks but Monte took it in stride. I will plan something there again.

The ambiance here is beautiful. Brightly lit. The interior looks like an Italian home with natural light. The server was very good, polite, courteous. Dinner comes with herb focaccia and a lovely red dipping oil. I prefer plain bread but the focaccia is delicious. I had the margarita pizza. The thin crust had a chewy texture that was yeasty and salty - perfect. The cheese was a bit rubbery. Fresh mozzarella would be better the slivers of basil would be better added after the pizza cooks so they don't char. But it was good.

Caesar Salad

My boyfriend and I went in for lunch at Bravo. I ordered the Margherita pizza and the caesar salad and he ordered the lasagna with italian wedding soup. I really liked the italian wedding soup. The Margherita flatbread wasn't the best. The salad and lasagna wasn't anything special either. Would I recommend it? No Would I try it again? Eh no.

Food is ok but overpriced for a casual Italian restaurant with Mediocre food. Maybe I would return for a promotion or coupon.

Wings with Cheese?... Ok, I'm down for a good garlic parm wing, but WTF was this concoction. It was…read moreway better after removing all of the cheese. Way too much but the wings were edible... and that's where edibility ends! The tofu with peanut sauce sounded good to me, but I swear they took a whole block of tofu and cooked it as one piece. The exterior was bland which meant the inner depths of said tofu was even blander. How do you make peanut sauce bland? The drinks had to be good, right? After all, they're also a distillery with their own craft whiskey. Nope... Epic Fail on the blandest old fashioned in Ohio (I'm guessing). If they're trying to showcase their whiskey... maybe they shouldn't. Just really not a fan. Other Old Fashioned fans in the dining party weren't impressed either. The margarita wasn't much better either. What about a refreshing peach dessert? I'll give you 3 guesses and they all start with B! You guessed it, so flavorless and the pound cake was dry! It was even dry if you were calling it a biscuit. If you're going to serve this, then maybe a peachy sauce to cut through the dryness. Oh, the description promises that, but it did not deliver on those bourbon macerated peaches by any means. Even Bowser would send this peach back! TLDR: Bland food, Bland drinks, Dry Bland Cake, and Bland Drinks (a no-no for a distillery themed place). So many other great restaurants in Columbus, but this is a pass from me.

Was able to split the Caesar salad, in which the dressing was more mellow and less acidic than typical Caesar dressing, but was accompanied with a charred lemon wedge to add however much acid your heart desires! The crispy potatoes albeit fried were extremely light, and the aioli complements well the shaved cheese placed on top. Then came the burger, with the fries being extremely crispy and perfectly seasoned. The burger was very good as well, but I could do without the mushrooms added. It is a wet burger as well due to the mornay instead of a typical slice of cheese that just sticks to the burger. Most importantly, the cocktails are FANTASTIC as always. A seasonal menu always gets created, with the staples of course always available, typically using their own products within.

I really, really, really love the drink menu of the Alibi. Like, a lot. Their visual chart is a…read moregodsend for cocktail explorers, and all of the drinks came out delicious and exactly as described. It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

I never leave Alibi disappointed. They always have such a creative menu with something for…read moreeveryone. It always amazes me how quickly they crank out such creative drinks. Really in love with its vibes, both indoor dining room with different segments of seatings and outdoor patio tables are amazing. The interior design here is truly unique and artistic. Great for big groups, date night, or even just chilling with friends. Not sure if it's the standard here, but there was never anyone filling our water during the entire dining time after they left 2 bottles of water on the table. Our server is patient and friendly but not on point. They messed up our orders, forgot one order and brought one wrong (we ordered smashed burger but received chicken sandwich). Very surprising that the staff didn't do anything or offer to send in the correct order. The chef of table service for Tomahawk is fun and enjoyable to carry conversations but unfortunately our Tomahawk was overcooked. We loved the presentation for sure though. Their smoked ribs is not "smoked" but boiled and soaked in sauce. The "smoked" part refers to its presentation, but their machine was down, and we were not told, so we basically got the ribs, neither smoked in cooking method nor smoked when it was brought to our table. The donut tree is another one great for eyes and cameras. It comes with little fireworks at the table service. Overall we enjoyed the breeze and atmosphere here. Will come back for relaxation if in town.

The place is not big and they usually have large parties coming in, thus fills the space quickly. We started with Tofu chicharron which we were expecting to be crispy - because chicharron means 'crackling pork rinds' but these Tofu were soft a lil disappointed there. We tried the pork sisig, it was okay. It has this mayo topping and there's an overpowering taste of ginger which is not typical of sisig. We enjoyed the grilled pork belly though, marinated enough and it's complimented with soy vinegar dip. The pancit on the other hand was very greasy. The oil was pooling at the bottom of the bowl. Taste was was just okay. It has way too many chinese sausage in it. We completed our meal with Ube Carioca, it is this chewy rice cake that is deep fried with glazed sweetness & that was okay as well. We wanted the mango sago, however they were out. The service was prompt and adequate parking space.
