My fiancé and I had a fantastic date night at Bar Italia! Our server did an incredible job and was very attentive and prompt. Wednesday is martini night and we each enjoyed a drink for only $10! I had a great classic martini and he had a manhattan martini, both were great and I recommend enjoying a drink! Our food was also excellent and incredibly generous given the very affordable price tag. I loved the Zoodles with shrimp, however the actual noodles were amazing as well! Everything from the atmosphere (wonderful view of the fountains!), the drinks, service, food, and convenient valet parking make this place a 5 star experience! First off they are owned by Lindy's. That name holds incredible value to locals. Lindy's is great - so you would think this place would exceed expectations as well. I've been here a few times; once for Happy Hour, another during lunch, and just a bit ago after work at 5:05pm (01/27). The first time for Happy was great - went during the week, sat at the bar with a friend. Staff were friendly, service was quick. The second and third time, I sat at the bar again. Was greeted by bartenders, given water, and then left for 4-8min with no follow up. Tried to get their attention. The final time tonight - he literally asked the customers on the left and right of me, but not me. Even when I put my hand up. I left. The menu is a bit over priced. I came to Del Mar after leaving there - better happy hour, greeted, ordered and food delivered within 15/20min. Stark difference. The one time I did eat here - I had the short rib starter, it was good but not at all what I had imagined. The short rib was stuffed in a crusted rice ball. Pleasantly surprised, but won't get it again. I like the look of the interior and watched them build it. Nothing can replace Smith and Wolensky. The ambiance gives it a star bump from three to four. The Tuesday pasta day is legit and each pasta dish is "only" $14. We happened to go on a Tuesday not knowing so it was a pleasant surprise. First visit but won't be the last! We were quickly seated at our reservation time 4pm. Then our waiter showed up in a big way (Andre). Upbeat, positive and a great smile! It was tasty, seasoned well, & warm. However, the menu is set up in a way to encourage sides and what not since the dish itself is essentially just protein. So my other critique is that for the high end prices, the food should be top tier and should match the vibe. Similar to ordering at Del Mar. Bar Italia was such a great lunch spot for our group of 5 with an 11:30 AM reservation on a Wednesday; the space has that polished, NYC-inspired Italian feel but a bit airier. To start, we shared the zucchini fritti, short rib and parmesan arancini, and ahi tuna tartare. For mains, we ordered 2 bucatini bolognese and 2 spicy vodka rigate. The bright, tart vinaigrette on the ahi tuna tartare was a standout for us, and the rigate had a real kick to it. Andre, our server, did a fantastic job reading what our table needed, keeping drinks topped off, pacing dishes well, and checking in often without hovering. He made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed, which is exactly what you want from a mid-day pasta break at Easton. First time reviewing. Gorgeous restaurant with simply flavorful food...what more can you ask? First off, I love the restaurant! Beautiful, open spaced dining area. Tonight it was busy and festive. People were having such a good time. Personally, I found so many things on the menu I want to try. There were three of us, so we started with the grilled rustic bread topped with whipped ricotta and prosciutto. We also got some of the zucchini fritti. This was perfect for three people. I lost count how many times we said, "this is so good." One person got the lasagna and she said she would definitely get this again. Another person got the Spicy Vodka Rigate with shrimp. I got the Garganelli Diavolo with shrimp. I tried both and they are both delicious. I absolutely loved mine. It has some heat to it, so it was perfect for me. But if you're a wimp, you may want to avoid this dish. Leave more for me. lol We ended the dinner with some of their house made limoncello and couple of slices of key lime pie. Wow! Please don't skip the key lime pie. This was beyond good. This is the kind of dessert you tell your friends about. Overall the dining experience as wonderful. It wasn't perfect. I was super excited to visit Bar Italia tonight as it just recently opened at Easton. I ordered the Spicy Vodka Rigate and the Cortona Paloma. Both were fresh and tasted great. The ambiance is beautiful, though it was extremely loud, understandable for a Friday night, but something to be aware of if you're looking for a quieter experience. Service-wise, there's definitely room for improvement, which is expected with a new restaurant. Our server was prompt and attentive, almost too much so, visiting our table nine times in just over an hour. Drinks took a long time to arrive, and we were asked to order our dinners before the drinks even made it to the table. The entrees came out almost immediately, and we were asked about boxing them up before we'd finished eating. It all felt a bit rushed. Also, we came during happy hour but were not given happy hour pricing, which was disappointing. Overall, the food was solid and fairly priced. My group of friends jumped on the opportunity to book a reservation for lunch on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday. Service was slow and not very attentive or detailed oriented. Some drinks came late or not at all and food order was mixed up. Give them grace when coming here right now given the staff is all learning. We ordered the grilled bread for the table and topped it with the whipped ricotta and prosciutto. Hands down the best thing ever. For those who don't like ricotta (not sure why you wouldn't but I know a few people, Jess!) it doesn't feel like you are eating ricotta. When they whip it, it changed the texture and flavor for the better. Get it! We also ordered the Zucchini Fritti. It was a large order and at a great price. Firm yet cruncy Zucchini with a marinara sauce and a lemon aoli. Good for the table. I ordered the pizza (8" for lunch) and simple salad but got the Ceasars salad instead. The pizza had a burnt dry crust. The sauce was neutral in flavor and the right amount of cheese and basil but I just couldn't enjoy it. The salad was great, dressing was light and wasn't pungent or overpowering like other Ceasars dressings. A friend got the classic chicken parmesan and it was sooo good. The chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right and you can tell the pasta is fresh. A grilled lemon on the side was perfect to squeeze on top to cut the saltiness of the dish. We didn't do dessert given our service was extremely slow and server never even offered. Management did their rounds and listened to our concerns in hopes to make this place great. I have high hopes for my next visit. Prices and ambiance will bring me back. Bar Italia and Lindy's have the same owner so I expect they will only continue to get better and become great. read more

My friends had all ordered the pizza and salad combination plate and their pizzas looked delicious. I should have ordered that instead. That pasta slaps there's so many things on the menu that I can't wait to try. Bartender was super chatty, but we were mourning the loss of our dog the day before, so it was comforting to have someone distract us. We love to people watch, and the bar is the perfect spot for that. The bar area has several small tables and plenty of seating along the expansive bar top. My wife ordered the Aperol Spritz and said it was one of the best she's had. I had the Beekeeper, and it was just as good. We split the Fritti Misto (calamari and shrimp), which was really good. My wife ordered the pizza with a side Caesar, and I went with the full Caesar. Both were good, though my wife thought the pizza had a little too much cheese. I say the more the merrier, but it's her pizza! You can tell they're still working out a few kinks with the service, but that's to be expected. It's already a great spot for lunch/dinner, and drinks. Tough review. Space is stunning, staff was great, food was a total bore with the exception of a lovely tiramisu. I asked for a mocktail list and the server said they could make any cocktail spirit free so I was stoked to order a virgin Aperol Spritz. I think I got fruit punch in a cocktail glass. Dined at Bar Italia early yesterday afternoon with a group of seven. The food was fantastic. Standouts included the Shrimp Scampi, meatballs, Italian wedding soup, and the mafaldine chicken special. Service was exceptional, and the space itself is beautiful. The only minor drawback was the noticeable presence of gnats circulating around our table. Hopefully it's just a temporary issue brought on by the cooler weather, but it was significant enough to mention. That said, we'll definitely be back soon! We stopped in here whilst shopping on a Thursday afternoon, celebrating the wife's birthday. Wasn't sure what to expect but thought we'd give it a try. We were seated near the windows, where on a nice day I'd imagine it's even better. But it was a small table for the two of us and I really couldn't understand why they put four people at the table next to us. Seemed really jammed in. The menu was fine, lots of options but some of it looked pretty heavy for lunch. We decided to split the chopped salad and the spaghetti with giant meatball. Not really sure why restaurants feel the need to push massive meatballs. I guess it's meant to 'fun', but it usually ends up with a mealy kind of meatball that doesn't seem to be cooked all the way. Bar Italia is not alone, there are others doing this and I've yet to find one that seems entirely cooked. Just break it up and give me three or four smaller meatballs. Outside of the meatball issue, the spaghetti was meh. The sauce was a bit Chef Boyardee-esque and the 'homemade' noodles were a bit rubbery. The salad was great though. All in all, it was fine. I won't be making a trip out to Easton specifically for this spot and if I'm already there, I'm guessing I'll be more included to try the other restaurant offerings. read more

11/26/25 Hostess was slouched over the stand and didn't want to speak or greet unless she was being spoken to first so that was cute. I opted to sit at the bar for a late lunch and I was pretty much given the most low attentive service in comparison to the other bar guests seated. The pasta was the only thing I ordered so it's not like I demanded a bunch of checking up on but maybe it's because it's the ONLY thing I ordered . The most bare minimum requirement for folks who are employed in the F&B service industry should be to refill water glasses when they are low but I had to ask for a refill when my cup was sitting empty for a while. The bolognese was good but nothing special. I took 3 bites and wanted to close out. Bartender asked if I wanted a to-go box as he was closing me out and I said I did and then he forgot to bring me one after handing me my check to sign and at the same time he was asking me about my last name while I was on the phone and so I had to cut off my phone convo so I could ask him to repeat his question like let's read the room buddy... I would say the only downside to this restaurant is that it was very busy and very loud, from the noise within the restaurant to the noise outside, it made it difficult to have conversation at the table. The tables were also very close together, so it can make moving around a little challenging. I had been wanting to try this new spot and we decided to hit happy hour on my birthday to celebrate. The inside is absolutely stunning. We were sat right away, but didn't realize you had to sit at the bar to get happy hour so we waited a minute to get moved over but ended at a cute little bar table. Our waitress Chloe was absolutely the sweetest and super helpful. We started with the arancini which was filled with delicious short rib and was super tasty. I also had an Aperol spritz that hit the spot as well. For our main meal we got the meatballs and the vodka pasta both of which were awesome. I switched to the house Italian red and it was a really nice inexpensive red wine option. At the end of the meal our waitress brought me a delicious ice cream sundae on the house (she asked my husband what dessert I would like) and this did not disappoint. I started with a homemade lemonade. I took one star off because my glass was filled to the brim with ice, it was $5, and no refills. I got scammed on that :( The waitress didn't disclose there weren't free refills until I asked when she asked if I wanted another one. That's sneaky. The food though was fantastic! We ordered pizza, shrimp, and their vodka pasta. The portions were all nice. I would've loved more bread with the shrimp. We asked for more but we were charged for it. The pasta was delicious, I just wish there was more. The pizza was fantastic! Great doughy crust. Our server was great, but the food was disappointing, and even though the restaurant was 3/4 empty, all of the food took a really long time. Limoncello was cloyingly sweet, grilled artichokes so salty they were almost inedible, the salmon was so overcooked it was dry, and the best thing about the tiramisu was the ingredient that made it not typical of tiramisu. The lasagna on the other hand was absolutely delicious. My first visit everything (except the spumoni) was delicious, this time not so much. I'd definitely come back again for the lasagna, and to try other things, but overall this visit certainly left something to be desired. The food was very good. Especially the shrimp scampi, it could easily be a meal by itself. Their Key Lime Pie is by far the best Key Lime Pie I've ever had and Ive had it at every restaurant that Ive been to that offers Key Lime. Prices are typical. The only negative was the lousy service at the bar. read more
