We didn't get to enjoy it because we needed to be in the show that we didn't want to miss. Very disappointed so I called the manager and told him what happened. This was a pretty split four-star experience, since the food is spectacular but the service was atrocious. I've been promised it doesn't usually have service issues like this, so I might come by again soon to see if they redeem themselves. This is my girlfriend's favorite spot in Columbus, so I looked forward to trying it for the first time. We had a very polite host who cleaned off an outside table for us to enjoy the nice weather. The server could not have been more his opposite: she was curt, unpleasant, barely answered our menu questions, and disappeared for the majority of the meal. There were no drink refills, callbacks to ensure we liked the food, or invitations to try dessert. Very lackluster, especially considering the high hopes I had for the place. The food, on the other hand, was nothing short of excellent. We had the Pasta Bravo and it was absolutely delicious, great sauce and tender pasta. Indeed, everything about this place was perfect except our server and the prices to some extent. I am definitely interested in returning here again to give it another try, as I get the distinct feeling this is a 5-star locale that just had a bad day on this particular occasion. Some days you get the gold and others you get the iron, that's life. Our server was amazing and was also substituted as the bartender. She healed it all together with ease. Drink orders in, a Limoncello lemonade, and a White Peach Sangria. Both were amazing in flavors but lacked the pizzazz in the presentation. Warm Roman Italian bread and an olive oil dipping sauce was provided. We also ordered two salads to accompany our meal; a classic Cesar and the house Italian salad, nothing to write home about, but the salads were both standards. The main dishes were shrimp fettuccine, shrimp were cooked in a butter sauce then added to the fettuccine Alfredo sauce. Very basic and very standard. Up next was the FRA Diablo with shrimp. The sauce was spicy and the noodle cooked perfectly and the dish was simple but seemed unconventional. This was a stand-out dish and one that makes me wanna return. Is this place good? Yes. The food is delicious. I would qualify it one step above Olive Garden which I consider fast food Italian. It was a different dine in experience. Masks are off, social distancing was no more, patrons were seated closer together. The result was a slightly louder time out. This location has a cavernous interior that can lead to echoing of sounds in parts of the restaurant. The lobster bisque was creamy and full of a rich flavor. Meanwhile, we could see the cooks were standing around in the kitchen doing nothing. When we asked the manager for the final time, he said that they don't ring in the orders until the full party has arrived. He definitely insinuated that it was essentially our fault. We had a few stragglers show up, but that shouldn't have impacted the entire service. Magically, food arrived shortly after speaking with the manager. A steak dish wasn't cooked to the preferred doneness, a shrimp Alfredo was missing the Alfredo sauce. After asking twice for extra sauce, it was delivered to the table ice cold. The final nail in the coffin was that it took another hour to separate checks. I realize we had a large party, but that should have been taken into consideration at the beginning. I said I would wait ten more minutes, and she told me I was free to leave now and would not get a refund. I then spoke to the manager. He claimed they had no record of the order, but that they had made the same item and someone else had picked it up earlier. I left without any food. I will never, ever be back. Update: I did respond to corporate. They ultimately confessed that the restaurant had given my order to someone other than me. They issued a full refund. However, that just confirms that the hostess and the manager on duty at this location were either incompetent, dishonest, or both when they told me my order was still being prepared, and later, that they had no record of my order. Corporate offered me a gift card, which I declined. I will never go back to this place. For the record, I've dined at Bravo a few times in the past. Based on those experiences, I can only rate the food as three stars. It's pretty mediocre fake Italian American. The takeout "hot" food is usually about room temperature, and the salad "greens" are often already turning brown. I only ordered it this last time because I was in a hurry. Do yourself a favor and get real Italian American food at Morettis, Cafe DaVinci, Carsoni's or The Berwick. All of them offer food that is far superior to the overpriced chain restaurant crap at Bravo. read more
