We love Napa and typically go to Easton and Westerville. Last night was a treat at Muirfield to meet up with a friend who lives in Hilliard. Keep it easy for her. She just lost her husband and this was a long overdue treat. We sat for an extended amount of time before we were acknowledged at least 15 minutes. We did order Brie as an app and a round of two ice teas and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Overall I had two long pours as it's one of my fav wines on the menu. When we ordered our dinner here's where it went south. My husband had pasta. My girlfriend ordered salmon well done. I asked for white cheddar burger no bun and side of Brussel sprouts. Hubby and girlfriend got their dinners and mine was well over 15 minutes delivered later while theirs sat getting cold. I kept encouraging them to dive in. Nope - they waited and far too long. By the time my dinner was delivered they sent theirs back to get warmed up. The difference in timing was too egregious. It wasn't due to the memorial. The place was hopping but consistent. I want to suspect my dinner was forgotten to be ordered. It wasn't the kitchen as it was too far apart on delivery. No reasons shared why the late delivery. I love context and I'm not unreasonable though the experience was too off and without reasons to understand the why made it an unfortunate experience. The decor here is beautiful. Really makes you feel like youre in a winery, especially the large wall of wine. We noticed they have a happy hour menu which we will have to come back and try but we visited for dinner. Had dinner here with a friend who had never been here . We ate in the bar area which is very nice but alittle noisy. Tue is a good time to go here as it's half off on a bottle of wine under a hundred dollars. I ordered the chicken saltimbocca but I ended up sending it back . The chicken was pounded out so thin that it was dry and hard to cut . I got the French onion soup and a salad instead . Both very good. I have been here many times and this is the first time I had a problem with the food . Our server was Sarah and she was very nice and comp my chicken saltimbocca . I've been here once before for lunch and we decided to meet friends for dinner. It was great to see they changed their menu. I am Deaf and there is a young girl who is CODA (children of deaf adults) and is fluent in sign do it is always nice to make that connection. We loved how the place is decorated, especially in the back room we were in. Our waiter, Jason was attentive and friendly. We had great service. The food we all agreed was top of the line. A great neighborhood gem! Our family stopped by NAPA Kitchen for an early dinner on a Friday night. The ambiance of the place is cozy and shabby chic with a fireplace and soft tones across multiple dining rooms. The cocktail menu and drink list are great as you would expect for a wine bar. Drinks also came in beautiful glasses with artistic touches. The menu is approachable with small touches to elevate the entrees we had (i.e., smoked chicken in the tortellini, mascarpone in risotto) and was tasty and well presented. Service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. Had it been just my wife and me for dinner, I may have rated it slightly higher, but while they did have a children's menu, it feels like an afterthought. Still, I think the restaurant likely caters a bit more to clientele of a wine bar - not families - which is likely the experience other guests seek. Bottom line, it was a great experience close to home. I may recommend selecting this place for families and groups without young children - we'll likely be back, but may hire a sitter next time we come. read more

I came to NAPA this past Friday with my boyfriend for his Christmas work dinner. We were in a party of 14 people and dined in a private room. The room itself was very nice and I noticed the regular seating area looked very cozy as well. I'd had the braised short rib at the Taste of Dublin and had been craving it again ever since and was very excited to be coming back! Because we were in a large party we had a set menu. I started with the veal meatballs and some type of mushroom toast. The toast did not blow me away but I LOVED the meatballs. I'm very picky with meatballs so was hesitant at first but the sauce was amazing and the meatballs were so tender. I then started with an old fashioned that was pretty good. We had three courses for the meal and started with a choice of soup or salad and I had the Napa greens salad and my boyfriend had the wedge. The Napa greens was also pretty good but we were not fans of the wedge. To start, it was not a wedge, just random pieces of iceberg lettuce. It also had no bacon, the ranch was pretty watery, and there was hard boiled egg that made the entire salad taste like one giant egg. For the main I had the braised short rib again and it was the star of the show! It comes with mascarpone risotto and what I believe was carrots and parsnips. All the flavors paired so well together and the short rib was so tender. For dessert I then had the bourbon bread pudding that was served warm with vanilla ice cream. I wasn't able to finish but just a few bites as I was so stuffed, but it was also so delicious. We also had a red blend and Cabernet served with dinner which were both delicious wines. Our server was very attentive and nice the whole meal and we loved having the privacy of a private room for our party. I'll definitely be coming back on my own again for the short rib! read more

Unfortunately, the hostess was extremely rude--she didn't greet us at all and had a clear attitude from the moment we arrived, which set a negative tone for the night. That said, to be fair, our waiter completely turned things around. He was super nice, very attentive, and genuinely made the evening pleasant. When she asked the server and the manager, they told her there wasn't a house cab (after she already drank it). We hadn't been to NAPA Kitchen and bar in years. The food wasn't that great the first time we came here, so we wanted to try it again. The ambience is lovely and our server was very nice as well. The black tea was better than what's served at many breakfast and brunch places. However, the food was extremely mediocre. I got the "Eggs Benedetto" -- a version of eggs Benedict, whch came with sourdough, prosciutto, 2 poached eggs, with hollandaise sauce and pesto. I got mine with fresh fruit. It's hard to disappoint me with eggs, but unfortunately, the combo of the hollandaise sauce and pesto just didn't work (at least not for me). The eggs weren't cooked right either and if that was prosciutto it was either over cooked or not very good to begin with. The side fruit was okay. My wife got the This and That, which included a tomato basil soup and Napa greens. The soup was okay but cold, and the Napa greens were quite bad. Came in for our annual sweater party. Just four of us. Very upscale, very nice in every way you look. Our server was super knowledgeable and friendly and made everything very enjoyable. We started with the calamari and the brie cheese app. Make you drool, and the wine!!! And the martinis!! I had gone to their sister restaurant, The Wine Bistro, before and they did have that option. The host seemed bothered when I mentioned I did not have a reservation. They had plenty of seating available as we went for an early dinner and there was no wait time. Service was a bit slow here, even though it was not busy. It took some time to get our dinner order in. I asked if one drink could have been made into a mocktail, and was told it couldn't. I was not offered any other options that could be, however. My husband enjoyed the brie (small portion) and sesame glazed salmon for dinner. The maple bourbon bread pudding was okay from the restaurant menu. Very disappointed in my last visit. Took some first timers with me. We were there 2 hours because it took an hour to get our food and it was only apps, soups and salmon salads. Calamari was not only a smaller portion then usual, but the small pieces are all over cooked and all you taste is crunchy batter. Crab cakes are another hard pass. They taste and feel like you are eating a mushy tuna cake covered in 2lbs of corn. They remind me of the overly mashed together faux crab cakes that have a lot of filler that you buy out of the freezer section. French onion soups were fine. However, they did take an hour to arrive. Salmon always looks overcooked to me but my wife likes it like that so we'll let that one go. The pork chops that kept passing the table looked good though, so I'll give it another go with that next time! read more

Salmon + Rice and veggies - it was good. Salmon of itself is flavorful. Not salty just fine. Braised short rib (not pictured) - great flavor, would highly recommend! This place has kinda a rustic, dark, earthy ambiance with great decorations with tons of wine bottles to order and drink and as decorations all over the place. For a first date or a date night you'll impress your partner by bringing them here on ambiance alone. Great friendly service but SOME of the food and drinks just aren't executed as well as they should or could. I was gonna order a Benedict or scramble that they have with short ribs but a guest in the party ordered that and I decided to try something different so I got the Salmon BLT. We didn't know the lady on the guest list but she said the short ribs or brisket in her hash, scramble, or Benedict whatever she ordered was tough and chewy and she sent it back. I knew I dodged a bullet with that one. My Salmon BLT was pretty solid but the salmon could've been a little larger. The sweet potato fries with the sandwich were a hard pass because they were thin cut, not as fresh as they could've been and seemed to lose heat. The fries that came with my kiddos chicken finger kids meal were WAY BETTER than the sweet potato fries. The MASCARPONE RISOTTO was awesome! If you're not a fan of mascarpone or the texture of grits then don't get this but if you like and know mascarpone and risotto this is the side for you! We ordered Calamari that was an absolute HOMERUN! One lady ordered French Onion Soup and another ordered a crab cake dish but again we didn't known most of the folks at this gathering event. The layered cake was okay. It was cold, didn't seem housemade and maybe ordered from GOLDBELLY or something but was good. The WORST part of the meal for me was the cocktail that I ordered. It was so bitter that it was darn near undrinkable. The lady next to me kept telling me to send it back but I was over it. Folks that know me know that if the FIRST DRINK I order is good and on point then I'll definitely order another but the bartender blew it and I was done drinking in this place. The misses ordered some type of pasta dish and it was fine but my mind wasn't blown. The ONLY problem with this place is that when we went it was not that busy at all so you'd think the chefs and bartenders would have a little more time ensuring things were executed and prepared better. Food seemed slightly haphazardly prepared like they had a packed house and were rushed but this was not the case when we went between 1pm-3pm on a rainy SATURDAY. Maybe their kitchen and bartenders had a rough day that day. Outside of that it's beautiful inside and again great customer service. Patroned here for our company Christmas party. This was not my first choice as the place we chose sommmmehow gave our reservation away after I inquired a few weeks ahead to confirm. I chose to call this place on the high stars and good reviews. I thought this place was acting as a lifesaver until I called a second time to confirm closer to the reservation and the manager THEN decided to give me all the details of our reservation that she failed to provide initially such as requiring a per person/charge minimum and that I had to give her more advanced notice if our party count was changing. As I had explained our initial reason for a reservation I thought she would have explained everything to me beforehand to ensure I am aware of all stipulations. I was so relieved initially that they had space I didn't think to ask more questions because she was so reassuring that they have space and they don't require a deposit. When we arrived the restaurant there was ONE couple in the dining room. So, that was odd. We were taken back to the more private room, which was very cute, quaint and very nicely decorated. At first there was only a few of us in our party present which made me think the veryyyyy slow service wasn't odd. However, the service continued to be extremely slow throughout the night. I was denied my request for a wine flight, which seemed odd for a nice restaurant. Even if that's not a menu item I've never been denied the option especially not at a nice place... but I let it go. SEVERAL other party members were somewhat frustrated with the response to their standard and reasonable requests, which seemed off-putting as we typically arn't a high-maintenance party and thought we were asking for very reasonable accommodations especially given the party size. Anywho, the service was EXTREMELY slow... kind of rude and unaccommodating to a very high-paying party and honestly I just wouldn't recommend patroning this place. read more

There are several dining rooms and a large bar that was busy on this Wednesday evening, so a reservation is recommended. The menu has a nice variety of foods, and the wine list is extensive. Includes flights. Everything we ate was good with nice portions. There are specialty drinks. The wait staff was nice and helpful. The noise level is not loud, which was very pleasant. I've been back to Napa a few times over the last few months and have had wonderful experiences! Today was no different. We went at 10am for brunch. I had 2 kids with me and they were very accommodating. Very large brunch menu, which was a combination of breakfast type foods and lunch items. They have a nice kids menu as well. I got the grilled chicken club sandwich, hubs got the steak and eggs and my daughter got the chicken tenders everyone loved their meal. Some of the best breakfast potatoes around!! The service was fast, the food was brought out quickly and I definitely enjoyed the food. I am not sure how big the portions are for dinner,but the lunch portions were a little small for my liking. That's the only criticism I have about this place. The food was incredible and I'll definitely be coming back. I am excited to see what they offer for dinner as I was told their dinner menu has additional items to choose from. Again, I would definitely recommend this place. I've been to Napa many times and have always enjoyed the food & dining experience. With that being said, I was very disappointed with the last time I had dinner here. I had reservations for 6:45PM and didn't get seated until 7:30PM. I checked with the server after 15-20 minutes of waiting to find out they had given my table to a different couple which resulted in us waiting even longer to be seated. So right off the bat I was already a bit irritated. Upon being seated we ordered our wine and food pretty quickly. The wine came out in a timely manner but it took over 45 minutes for us to get our appetizers. During this time our waitress didn't check on us once. I had to flag down a different waitress to check on our food and shortly after that it was finally brought out. Then our main entree was brought out right after our appetizer. We were starving at that point so it was fine but the whole situation was just rather frustrating. All in all we were there for over 2 hours, most of the time spent waiting. Super disappointed in the service. With that being said, the food was all very good. I shared the wedge salad and baked French brie as an appetizer. The brie was good but is just a very small portion. The sesame orange glazed salmon is my favorite entree on the menu. The ginger & orange zest sauce on the salmon is so tasty and the salmon is cooked perfectly. The carrot cake on the dessert menu is also very good. We arrived on Father's Day Sunday with a reservation for six and were seated right away. The menu is pretty small but has such good choices, I split the baked Brie. The Brie and orange marmalade in a crisp, honey-drizzled phyllo shell - apricot, orange and cracked pepper preserve, Granny Smith apples, fresh strawberries. OH MY GOD!
