They have bar seating and then they have hightop tables as well I asked them for some recommendations. Josh and Xavier both recommended The zombie (kept warning me that it was extremely strong. So I stayed away from that. The hostess asked if we had reservations and said she needed to check to see if there was room for us. We were eventually seated at a tiny table pressed against a beam. I had a view of the kitchen, while my husband had a view of the open door leading into the hallway of the Packing House. Definitely not the best table if you're there to enjoy the atmosphere and vibes of the restaurant. Our server was also a little strange. She was very meek and didn't really seem comfortable in a customer-facing service role. I ordered the Fizzie McGuire cocktail, and the presentation was underwhelming with zero garnish. Unfortunately, the drink itself was incredibly bitter. It tasted like the simple syrup may have been forgotten or there was way too much lemon juice. My husband ordered a coffee cocktail (I can't remember the name), which came with a dried banana garnish that was completely stale and inedible. Our drinks also sat at the bar for quite a while before being brought to us, and our server never came back to check whether we liked them. For food, I ordered the avocado toast and my husband got the Pearl brunch burger. The burger was good and a decent portion. The avocado toast came with a salad, although I wish there had been an option for potatoes or something a little heartier. The salad had a sweet dressing, which just wasn't what I was in the mood for. The avocado toast itself honestly looked like something I could have made at home. The cucumbers and radishes were all cut unevenly and simply arranged on top. The toast was literally just avocado, cucumber, and radish--no seasoning, no olive oil, and basically no flavor. It was incredibly bland. I eventually had to flag down our server and told her the toast was terrible. I asked for some salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar to try to make it more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the balsamic she brought out was a sweet glaze, which made the toast even sweeter. At that point, it almost tasted like I was eating a doughnut. I took a few more bites and just couldn't eat it. The hostess eventually came by and asked if I wanted a box. I told her the avocado toast was terrible, and she asked, "Oh, why didn't you say anything?" I explained that I had. She said she would speak with our server. They did end up taking the avocado toast off the bill, which was a nice gesture and appreciated. I really want to like Wooden Pearl because I love the decor and the overall concept, and our first experience was good enough that we wanted to come back. We plan to give it another shot at some point, but unfortunately, based on this brunch experience, 3 stars is all I can give it for now.

This is probably the worst club I have ever been in my life, I was forced to wear a blazer I did not want to wear just because "IT WAS NOT GAY NIGHT" or so the security said... I was wearing a tank top and a blazer... Cooling system sucked so I took the blazer off and was forced to wear my blazer over it just because it was not gay night and A tank top was too gay to wear... I had all security after me just because of that... I cant believe the disappointment. This is such a discriminating place for gay people I probably wont go back again. We dance salsa & cumbia at the main floor. The band was playing all type of tropical music. The band was great!!!!!! My boyfriend loves the rock & hip-hop at the second floor (upstairs). Got a threat from a regular because they felt insecure when their gf was hitting on me and said they personally know the owner and that if I ever go back there would be a problem. Bravo Night Club has one of the best Cumbia Nights on WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY with live band. Been there almost every night. They also have BANDA NIGHT ON THURSDAYS :) !!!!!!!.. Drinks are cheap.... If im ever in the area, i get my salsa fix from here. Love how its not like a typical club of grinding and winding of asses on the dancefloor. But you get to see peopel who legit have gone to professional dance lessons hit the floor and knock your socks off. read more

Went to see ToBeHonest (the opener was better ngl) and I was having fun during the opener. Having hope and telling my friends they changed, the next event was Bonnie and Clyde. They packed the "dance floor" to the point ribs would get crushed for the next 1000 Ways to Die series. Bartenders so far are chill, but I only go to one guy and he deserves it. No offense to the others that I've yet to interact with. The bottle girls seem miserable, which sucks cause you'd think they'd be allowed to dance if it isn't busy, but maybe they're just burnt out? Who knows, but I get it. Time caters more to clubbing, whatever that is now, than dancing. The men just stand around, take up space, and expect a woman to fall onto them. Unless you really push for it, dancing isn't encouraged. You could get a table, but even then the energy around them felt off. Overall, there's a noticeable disconnect in the vibe. Security along with ticketing staff has been safe, consistent, and as long as you're nice they treat you the same or they push you along. It's a coin flip.

If you LOVE your house music, if you love music PERIOD. This is the place to catch some of the most incredible DJs/Producers, and they're past track sheet is much to be talked about. Once it was back up, the site was reloaded with HTML and the link to purchase tickets changed without notifying anyone. If you had access to a computer and knew a thing or two about web development, you would have been able to access the html and discover the actual link. That said link was discovered and shared amongst others on Facebook while the rest of us who were stuck with phones or who don't have a Facebook account continued to refresh a page that would waste an hour of our time. Their tweet defended themselves saying that they never changed the link on anyone, but then on their Facebook post, they apologized stating that they overwrote the link after they brought the site back up. Not sure why they kept changing their story, but are you really going to give your business to a club that called its customers liars when they were called out on Twitter? I'm not upset that I wasn't able to buy tickets for a sold out show. I've been doing this electronic music thing for 10 years and sometimes it's just the way it goes, but it's another thing to mislead customers and waste their time and not be given a fair chance. Who knows? Maybe the correct link was shared amongst friends and people who work in the industry. It would appear that way, given some of these electronic music Twitter accounts made smug little comments about how they were able purchase tickets and how they sent the link to others.

And don't even get me started on the staff, they all think they're hot stuff.

If you drive a little bit past shark club there is a little street there where you can usually find parking if you're early enough. Admission is usually free if you come before 10PM and sign up for the guest list, either on their website or Facebook or one of their other avenues. When you're on the texting or email list, they will usually text or email you an offer for free admission before 10PM. At around 9-9:30PM, they usually have a drag show, and on the times I went it was hosted by Adore Delano, the drag persona of the American Idol contestant and the guy that's going to be on/is on RuPaul's drag race. During the show you will see plenty of guys dressed in drag, I believe lip syncing to various songs, and you will hear Adore's jokes and entertainment. I found the show to actually be pretty good and entertaining, and my friends and I sometimes just come to see the show and not really dance. Afterwards, there is an area to relax and talk in and then there is the dance floor. The relaxing room has a mini bar/stand and people tend to smoke there. The dance floor itself is pretty spacious considering it is in OC and is offering a pretty crowded gay night. The people there are a mixed bag, I felt there were a lot more girls there than at other gay nights/clubs and it seemed there were some straight guys there too... I'm guessing trying to hit on the girls. The dance floor usually has a few go-go dancers and on themed nights there are sometimes drag performances and other dancers there. The stage has various lighting effects from the screen and I believe there was some sort of fogging device. The bar I felt was lacking, especially on their drink specials. I had one of their $5 drink specials before and it tasted super watered down and weak to me. I felt the pricing on the other drinks were also pretty high, especially considering the drink specials VLVT has (though I didn't do a side by side comparison or anything). Overall the drag show is pretty awesome, the crowd is okay and the dance floor is nice for being in OC.

I almost thought it was an 80s night with the Bowie and When in Rome I heard. There was a screen that projected a montage of photos of club attendees from previous events with the occasional Daft Punk robot picture mixed in. Other than the occasional photo, I found the house and electronic music non-existent on Daft Punk v. Crystal Castles night. There was some dancing, but the Flyway photographers regularly interrupted it to snap photos of people posing as if they were having fun. One star for trying too hard in ironic and sad fashion.

Couldn't ask for better. I saw DJ Rebekah and Godtripper some weeks back and the entire night was perfect. Got a vip table and danced on the floor, and the music was pumped through every inch of the building And THE BEST THING was that I lost my phone, someone turned it in, and the manager & security helped me get it back. Out of the four club, Exchange LA has the biggest dance floor and my only complaint is that place gets so hot. The air circulation isn't the best especially on the dance floor. All and all, it's still one of the best places to catch you favorite EDM artist.
