Food was very good, except the shrimp tacos had No Shrimp at all!! Overall food was Hot and fresh

Someone suggested that I try these tacos since they know I'm a taco lover. I was not disappointed at all however, I have had better. I will be back here on a Sunday or Monday when they have their Birria taco special. I heard that's a smash however the service was good. They did mess up my order, but I'm not mad at it because the food was worth it and I'd rather have it correct so I waited until they made me another order. The ambience is very cultural intruder Mexican cuisine.

Ideally 3.5 but knocking down to a 3. This place has received a lot of hype in our local town forum. On Main Street. Street parking. There's a small parking lot behind the tattoo shop next door but I'm not sure if you can park there. Place was totally empty on a Friday night. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Chips and salsa were good (they don't come with your meal you have to order it). Red salsa is VERY spicy. Husband had the steak fajita wrap. We didn't know it came with fries. The fries are DELICIOUS. The steak fajita wrap was super greasy and just soggy and dripping in liquid. It was also a massive burrito and not really a wrap. I had the carne asada and chicken tacos. Both meats were very dry. The guacamole was alright, fairly bland and had tomatoes in it. Both tacos were covered in a THICK layer of onions and cilantro. Raw white onions. Enough cilantro to make it a salad. Like way too much. $3 for jarritos and glass bottle coke is very expensive. I got the glass bottle mineral water which seems ridiculous to charge $3 for. Chocolate cake to go was fantastic.

Final result of a chow down. Unfinished chilaquiles and nopales. (they serve so much!)

Haven't had chilaquiles since I moved out to the east coast and their chilaquiles hit! I also ordered a side of nopales and they were super flavorful. My family all got Al pastor tacos and they were super flavorful. Will definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

Awesome place! Tasty, authentic Mexican food and great prices. Large portions too. Tacos are delicious. Can't wait to go back!

If you're a fan of Edison Tex Mex Deli, this spot is for you. Same ownership family. Tacos were flavorful and of course the quesabirria was essential. Restaurant literally opened today so it's pretty bare inside but the food is what matters at this point.

My wife and I have been here twice so far since they opened. Both experiences were excellent! We are local to town, so this spot is a welcome addition. The restaurant is large, there is a separate room which they may use for larger parties but there is plenty of seating inside. Both times the tables were clean, and the service was impeccable. The staff is so lovely and happy to give you recommendations. We have had the basics like tacos, tostadas, birria, and nachos. The elote is awesome! We have also tried the specials such as the enchiladas mole. It was 4-5 shredded chicken enchiladas smothered with homemade sauce. We were dipping everything we could into the sauce at the end, amazing! It is BYOB if you care to bring in some cervezas to enjoy the meal. We will be back many times over.

I took a walk around Milltown recently and came upon this restaurant. It's in the same spot where another deli and small ice cream/custard place used to be. Anyway, It ROCKS! I am so happy I can get Mexican food in Milltown. They even have Tlayuda which is from Oaxaca and I have never been there but always wanted to go, now I can at least have a taste. Next time I will bring friends and order one because they are big. My food was presented by a very sweet man who greeted us kindly and a woman who also seemed very pleasant and kind, although she was back there behind the counter doing a lot of important work. Because the food is beautiful and delicious. If Milltown gets any sort of Night Life again (post-Covid and Golden Lion) THIS Place could be an important part of it if they decide to open past 8pm. Also it is large enough to hold quite few people and bright and airy. Well lit too. Go here. Go here when you read this Monday thru sat from 9 to 8 pm and Sunday from 8 till 5.

Si! Love the food and the reasonably priced menu. Everything tasted fresh. The crunchy flautas were excellent and tasty. The Cecina was equally good, even though the salted beef steak was a bit tough, but I viewed it as a fair challenge! The sandwich/torta was equally good and fresh. And I liked the beef soft tacos too. The only drawback was the time for them to prepare -- it took them more than half an hour to finish our order, even though I think ours just coincided with a huge to-go order so it's understandable. Parking spots are not an issue and there were also street parking available if needed. There are a few tables and chairs outdoor when the weather cooperates. Tables indoor are widely spaced and the staff wore masks. Will try some other dishes next time -- Lebanese omellete?

Having just wrapped up some business in the area, I had a hankering for some Mexican food. I…read morenoticed this place had great ratings, so I decided it's worth checking out. It's an unassuming place and it's completely empty, when I arrived and met my hubby there, even though it was during peak dinner time. With the torrential rain outside I figured it was the weather that was keeping people away. After we perused the menu and ordered, I went to wash my hands. I only mention this because the soap dispenser in the restroom was filled with water down soap. This made me wonder if they're cutting corners in other areas, as well. I try not to let that first impression influence me and so I went back to our table. Unlike almost every other Mexican eatery, we've visited, there is no offerings of complementary chips, salsa, or water. When the counter worker brought us our order, they mentioned bottled water was available in the fridge for $2. Since cold beverages triggered my migraines, I asked for a room temperature water instead, but unfortunately, that wasn't available. Now onto the food. Here's what we ordered: - Chicken Empanada: 2/5 stars Freshly fried and nicely stuffed empanada. It was filled only with chicken breast, and no sauce provided on the side. Unfortunately the chicken was overcooked. It really needed a sauce to for more flavoring and to aid in the dryness. - Burrito de Al Pastor: 3.5/5 stars Massive!! Easily big enough for two people to share, so we did. The addition of pineapple was such a great touch and really helped brighten up the flavors. The cuts of pork itself was a hit or miss. Some pieces were wonderfully moist while other bits were quite dry. I would've liked more consistency, but I didn't mind a generous amount of rice used as filler. It came with a salsa Verde and a creamy, spicy, red sauce. We ended up using the entire container of Verde on the empanada and saved the spicy, red sauce for the burrito. The server who greeted us was very friendly, and overall the dining experience was pleasant. The ambience is modest, with some colorful pieces of wall decor. They also have weekly specials. This week featured Birria tacos and Birria quesadillas. We opt for the Burrito de Al Pastor because we didn't want an overly meat heavy meal. One thing we found strange was how quiet the restaurant was. Throughout our meal, we expected the phone to be ringing with a few takeout orders, especially with the storm outside. It didn't ring once. The kitchen was very quiet, other than when they were preparing our order. Maybe we caught them on an off night? The friendly service and the burrito were the positives, however, the empanada was disappointing, as well as the pork in the burrito being it was inconsistent.

The portions for the meats were very big. My husband got ranch beans and sweet potato fries for his sides. While the sides were small for both of us, the sweet potato fries were for a family of 4... HUGE portion. He got at least 2 meals out of it. My sides were the Mac and Cheese which was very cheesy and delicious as well as the tomato cucumber salad. I love a good cucumber salad. Like I said before, those sides were very small. I wish I could have just had a plate of sides. The pickles they give you were also very delicious. I also don't like cornbread which came with our orders and theirs was actually sweet and moist. But like I said, as a person who really does not care for BBQ, a plate of sides would be amazing. We also got the 'Jalapeno Honey' wings which were a good size, but I didn't taste much jalapeno or honey for that matter. They were just kind of mild. My husband loved his meal but he does prefer Big Ed's BBQ in Matawan. Our whole meal was $80 which is quite a lot for no waiter service, just counter. The food was very quick and the service in general was okay. We probably would not be back, but it is worth it to check it out. They had a steady flow of customers throughout the time we were eating there.
