I found this place on Google Reviews (sorry, Yelp), and was immediately intrigued by the pictures of heaps of carne asada, guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, etc. Most taquerias don't offer half orders of super nachos or carne asada fries, but some do, and I noticed that Bravos had them for about the same price as my favorite taqueria. So, I ordered a half order of carne asada fries, and made sure to ask for lots of green sauce on the side. The half order was the correct size (literally half the size of a regular), and was piled high with carne asada, guacamole, and a mix of cheeses (colby, jack, cotija, and queso blanco). At first, I was surprised that there wasn't any sour cream or pico de gallo, but I hadn't asked before ordering, so that's on me. It ended up not really mattering, though. The carne asada was very good for a drive-through taqueria, and there was a generous amount of it. I appreciated this, because I've been working out a ton lately, and have been craving meat. The guacamole and sour cream were good. I was impressed by the variety of cheeses. The fries were also good-- nothing special, but good. The green sauce was top notch-- better than my favorite taqueria. It tasted homemade. Customer service was good. There wasn't any wait, and it didn't take too long to receive my order. My wife and I had been regularly going to Maggies Tacos on Calvine and Tacos Las Poblanos on Calvine and Elk Grove Florin and Calvine. Both are great options but we were looking for a late night option that also offers quesabirria. My wife is pregnant with twins and often craves her quesabirria and it's rare to find great Mexican food in Sacramento that's also open late w/ a drive through option. She usually gets quesabirria from tequileros, but since they're not open late she tried this and loved it. She would rate Tequileros a 7/10 and Taco Bravo a 5.5 to 6/10. Flavor 4-5/10 Consume: a little watery Texture:6 Convenience: 10/10 I've personally had the burritos, fries, tacos, and would rate it a solid 7 across the board. Portions: 9/10 Flavor: 6/10 Texture: 7/10 Customer service: 8/10 Convenience: 10/10 Are there things they can improve on, yes. Are there any local good Mexican spots with drive through, no. They are winning by default. Customer service is great in the drive through, wait time isn't too long, they've never messed up an order and give big portions. Prices could be better but there's no better option w/ quality and consistency that I feel allows them to charge what they do for their services. This still doesn't compare to the Mexican food I'm used to from East Side San Jose. However for an Elk Grove/South Sac option, this is a hidden gem. Came here on a Thursday around 2pm and the Service of this one young gal was very RUDE! [[HIGHLIGHT]]She had placed her mop bucket directly in front of our table. The mopping solution was overpowering![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked politely if she can move her mop bucket and perhaps to mop at other side of restaurant while we eat. There were no other customers inside. Her response was..."oh well I need to mop cuz I am leaving and so what!" She shook her head and shrugged her shoulders and began to mop right by our table. Someone brought me pozole from here a couple weeks ago wen I was sick. I got sick again and wanted the pozole so my husband picked up for me. I was unable to eat it yesterday due to sleeping so I went to eat it today and there was foam all on top and it smelled horrible. I had to toss it.
