They both are Pro players and are passionate in the way they share this fun sport. Our whole family, which includes myself(49 year old female) my husband, 18 year old daughter, and 15 year old son with autism has taken part in either lessons, league nights, free play, or tournaments put on by PlayBT. Lessons are a great workout and great repetition to get used to proper form & technique.Lots of continual movement and attention to detail and encouragement. They play great music and work with the flow of the group to accommodate all skill levels.You get a LOT out of one session! League nights are so fun! Round robin style so you get to play with lots of different players and gets lots of game situational practice.They keep courts going so there is almost no waiting.Great music pumping to keep you fired up.They keep track of who wins each set and who has won the most overall each week and total. Really nice people and often go to dinner together afterward if you're up to it.You don't have to show up every Wed. Or Fri. Night, just whenever you can/want to.Great program! Tournaments are well thought out and they provide great snacks and impressive prizes!Lots of games...you can sign up with a partner in higher level tourney, or you can play without a set partner in Beginner Division & play Round Robin style.Good times for all and fun to watch the rallies! They coach youth and special needs kiddos too. They coach work groups, Birthday groups,etc.and are very flexible and open to ideas. They are just great. We hadn't played Beach Tennis before when we started with them but now we are all hooked and looking forward to playing for a long time. Many clubs are just girls, and I only know of 1 boys only team. I have a son in the Beach Cities Volleyball Club which is both a boys and girls club.  This review is for the indoor Beach Cities Volleyball Club (BCVC) BOYS program. My son is starting his third season with his third coach. My son has played against and attended some camps of the other clubs in the region, and this is a quick list of BCVC strengths. 1. No other club comes anywhere near offering as much playing opportunities when including practices, camps, and clinics. 2. BCVC is by far the best value when looking a minute of court time to price. 3. Girls and boys sometimes practice at the same time, or even coed. If you are looking to create relaxed social opportunities this can be a big positive. 4. It is a non profit organization, which means you are participating in a community building organization. In all the organized team sports I have been involved in, the atmosphere the coach brings to the team is so important. In club volleyball the season is long (Sept-June), so it can be even more important. When looking around the web sites, the coaches will list their CV's. I have found that they don't always relate to bringing joy and camaraderie to the kids practice after practice. You have to see the chemistry with your son and the coach that will coach your team at the tryouts. Christian Cammayo pretty much runs the boys side of the program, and has really increased the usability of the beachcitiesvbc.com website, so it is much more useful now. The one con of the Beach Cities Club Boys (I am not familiar with the girls) vs some of the others is visibility to colleges, but this summer (2021) Christian has added a new college program with many features. I am looking forward to see how this works out. Boys volleyball is a great game that has many moments of joy in each set of each match for both sides of the court. Where ever your volleyball adventure takes you, remember the parents cheer and coaches coach.

Adam Burt is a truly patient, talented, and funny tennis coach. I first met him in late '99 when I…read morewas part of his classes and tennis ladder. Even back then, he was able to teach me out of my bad habits. Then we started sending our daughter to him. She's not the most athletically inclined type, but after a few weeks with Adam, she was a changed kid! Now, she plays better than I could have imagined and she totally loves tennis. This is a huge thing because this is the only sport she likes right now. We are overjoyed that she looks forward to Adam's class every week. We even signed her up for one of his summer camps. Meet Adam once and you'll realize he has the perfect temperament for being a coach not just for adults but for kids too. In just under three months, I've already noticed much improvements in my forehand, which has given me a big confidence boost. My backhand still needs some work, but Demetrius is always encouraging and patient, which helps me stay motivated. I also really appreciate that he takes the time to review clips I send from my solo wall practice and gives me useful feedback in between lessons. That's another thing, taking lessons with him has given more enough courage to book a court and practice on my own.
