Just left the store (11/21/22 @ 2:36pm) unhappy with my purchase. Had a $50 Amex gift card of which the cashier did not know how to utilize. She informed me to swipe the card and hit credit and or debit where the machine kicked it back out. Normally if your purchase (mine was $227 in total) is more than the gift card the cashier would normally have to manually enter the amount of the gift card ($50) to apply then I'll pay the difference. She just stood there with a blank face and no answer other than gift cards are step up differently nowadays, huh?! Okayyyy Then to check in on Yelp they have a 10% off purchase that I wanted to apply but I was then told it does not apply to my purchase because it was World Cup merchandise. Had a really hard time finding cleats for my 11 yo daughter. Been looking for weeks. But there's a bit of a soccer cleat shortage due to supply chain issues. Went to many of the big box sporting good stores, but their inventory was quite limited and their salespeople not very knowledgeable about soccer cleats. Found Xtreme Soccer on Yelp. Super personable and helpful on the phone. Went to their shop in Torrence. Super kind and knowledgeable employees. They also had great soccer cleat inventory. No complaints here! This small soccer boutique has "Xtremely" helpful staff and seemingly well stocked product. I will definitely come back. I want to say this is a famIly owned business but I may be incorrect. Matters none - I rather spend my money here than at a huge chain retailer. If you're not looking for a very particular item/team/product and are an all around fútbol aficionado you have to come by because they have a decent sized sale section. RED FLAG - This store is not a good place to buy soccer cleats. We bought a pair of $150 cleats for my daughter. Even though they were very tight when she tried them on, they convinced us that they would stretch out after wearing them. She wore them to one practice but the tightness hurt her feet so much we had to return them. When we took them back to Xtreme Soccer after wearing them for one practice, they said their policy is no returns on cleats once you leave the store with them. read more

With the hype of the World Cup, my man really got caught up in it (as always) and decided he wanted a korean soccer jersey. He actually picked one up at a diff soccer place, but we came here so he could get letters and a number screened on. After some inquiries, they said that they have to order the numbers and letters in and that it takes a couple of weeks. We pre-paid for it, and they said they would call us when it all came in. However, 3 weeks later, there was no call. We then learned that they had forgotten about it and did not place the order, but they apologized and said they would put a rush on it. A few days later, he went in to get the jersey and the number and letters screened on it. The work was rather unsatisfactory because the lady ended up putting the name and number about 1-2 inches below where it should have been on the back. Now, to be frank, I really think it looks fine to me. But hey, I was only interested in the World Cup because of all the hot players so it's not like I was paying attention to their jerseys. But my man is a real stickler for that kind of stuff, so I guess he would know. Needless to say, he is really disappointed in it and the $30 he paid to get that done. Now he's contemplating getting a white jersey and getting it done somewhere else. read more

Update: I've visited this place recently, and I'm happy to report that the service has improved dramatically since my last visit (which was about four years ago!). The service is superb. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and patient. You can tell that every member of their staff not only plays the game, but loves the sport as well. They know everything about their products. The product selection is broad and they generally have most sizes in stock. They have everything you need/would expect from a high-end specialty store. This is the place you want to go if you're looking for high-end soccer gear and apparel, as well as the moderately-priced gear for your AYSO player. They have a sizable selection of soccer boots, from the entry level models up to the hard-to-find high end boots the top players wear. They also have a large selection of jerseys, hats, scarves, socks, etc. The staff is pretty helpful, but they could be better. Been going to soccer central since I was in middle school. Always my go to. They have a way better selection than Sports Authority, or Sports Chalet. They are reasonably priced. I just recently went there to get pre-wrap ($2.99), womens soccer shorts ($25 & the only place to carry all white womens shorts), electric tape (1.99), and socks ($12). I came in with a jersey that I did not buy at the store. Called and asked how much they would charge me to press a name on the Back of my jersey which was starting to peel. On the phone I was told to come in, they would look at it and tell me how much they would charge me. I came in and I heard the manager (Hispanic guy with a small Afro) tell the guy that was helping me in Spanish language that "they can't do those things for people who don't buy anything" Are u serious? I didn't want it done for free I was asking how much they would charge me? I find it disrespectful that he would speak another language just to talk about me right in my face. I recently visited with an eye toward replacing my cleats/boots. The selection of cleats/boots is extremely limited for a store purporting to be "Soccer Central." I have no other reason for the review apart from being extremely disappointed by the selection (and their failure to have many sizes in stock). I would have expected a far larger selection. There is a great deal more in the way of replica jerseys, etc. It appears this store is far more enthusiast focused as opposed to player focused. read more

Apologize for the delay on this review as it should've been done earlier but this place is beyond deserving of 5 stars. I called a year ago to get some name sets (sporting id's) heat pressed on some vintage kits and the girl at the time was extremely nice and said that they could do it for me. It was a bit of an awkward question but she checked with Isaac, the manager and they were able to help me out. Since then, this is the spot, not only the best soccer store in the south bay but in all southern California. Customer service goes a long way and Isaac and the crew really care about the customer and are very knowledgeable. I've brought over 10 kits since then and they've done amazing work with all of them. The store is neat, clean and well organized. They have everything you need or can order it for you. I am beyond thrilled I was able to find this place and is now my go to spot for anything soccer. read more

I often visit this location when I'm in the area for soccer. I am often amazed at the amount of top of the line footwear and apparel they have, but that is sadly just about the only positive thing I have to say about this business. I've looked to buy several pairs of cleats from them from time to time, however, they either don't have my size or don't offer the colorway I was hoping to get. The response is "Well let me get your contact info and we will give you a call when we get your size." or "We can check to see if we can get that colorway and give you a call." Well I've done that 3 times and they've never once bothered calling me back. Now the story that really irks me about Soccer Central in Torrance is, is how they are not willing to honor what their Hawaiian Gardens location said they would do to help us out. We bought a pair of Nike Magista Obra's ($270) back in February. These cleats are game cleats only and are starting to fall apart. The boot is pulling away from the soleplate, the laces (which can't be replaced) have broken and the texture laminate they put on the top of the boot is bubbling up. The HG location said they would replace them under a warranty claim and had to call the Torrance store to get the receipt. Well after having no luck 30 minutes later we had to go and said we would just go the the Torrance location to take care of it. Well I show up today and immediately was told that they aren't going to do anything until speaking to the owner, but they are most likely not going to swap them out for us anyway. They took my info again and said they would call me back as soon as the owner returned from lunch. Now let's see if this ends up being the 4th time they take my information without bothering to call me back. Update** Let me also add that now, it appears that store manager and the store owner are now mad that I gave such a negative review of their store. Glad to hear that you guys are so concerned about the customers that haven't shopped there yet and don't care about the ones that have. Actually, it seems typical, I mean you already got my money what more do you need from me? This really isn't about the $270, it's about following through with a resolution you made to your customer when they had an issue with a product you sold them. The fact is, my son needs new cleats and I will buy him $270 cleats again. My two other sons need cleats as well. It just won't be from your stores. It's pretty simple really. read more

I have been playing soccer for my entire life. Nearly 30 years. In high school I was an all district honorable mention selection. And not that I'm trying to toot my horn, just want to establish some credibility. In nearly 30 years of playing soccer, my balls have lasted at least a year. Further, I have never spent more than $30 on a ball. As a kid, I would save and save, and if I was lucky enough I could afford a $20 or $30 ball. But today my friend and I bought a $40 ball from soccer central (which the sales associates highly recommended). We went to a pristine turf field and kicked the ball around for an hour. By the end of the hour...the ball had a puncture mark, and was deflated. We then returned to soccer central to inquire about the situation. The heavy set manager that we talked to was immediately on the defensive. We were nothing but nice to him, but he had this agro mentality and couldn't care less about customer satisfaction. He didn't even think to say anything like, "I'm sorry about the quality of the ball", or "let's try to help you out here". I would strongly advise anyone shopping for soccer gear to shop elsewhere. I was told they had the jersey but couldn't confirm size availability. I was told I would get a call right back. That call didn't come. Took 3 weeks to get number put on Real Madrid jersey...was told that would be called for updates never was called had to call to check every time. Customer service overall sucks was even hung up a few times. Then found out I overpaid for the jersey as well. I ordered my Marcelo jersey on realmadridshop.com for $108 with shipping and everything but here I paid $130 and waited three weeks where I will revive my Marcelo jersey in 4 days (that being tomorrow) unfortunately I had already taken the tag off the jersey if not I would have returned it. It's a well staffed store with knowledgable staff that play the game themselves, so you'll get good feedback on specific questions. Really like this place. Went in to get my 8 year old ready to take the Challenger soccer camp to get him prepped for his first AYSO season in Torrance. So I nor my son knew anything about what he would really need. Helpful staff guided us on making sure we had the proper fit on his shin guards. We picked up some nice soccer cleats from an impressive selection of shoes. They had an endless selection of soccer balls to choose from. And, finally the athletic wear selection has the best styles of things to wear including jerseys from many of the major clubs.
