Erika is amazing! But before I go on I'd like to point out that I think the reviewer, Rita who gave 1 star might have been mistaken and mixed Erika's studio up with another Brazilian wax place. One, Erika is super polite and professional and if there isn't a spot open that you want she will try to work with you and recommend other dates. Two, she doesn't have any Groupons going on at this time. She doesn't deserve one negative review! That being said, I had my first full Brazilian two weeks ago. I was so nervous I had to bring a friend. During the wax I was sweating and shivering (from the nerves) simultaneously but Erika helped to calm me and make me feel comfortable. She chatted and joked with me and we learned we knew some of the same yoga teachers (oh, the little things). The process is not as painful as I thought but obviously you're getting hair pulled from your downstairs so it's gonna be a little sensitive. She was very thorough and explained everything she was doing and why, and what I needed to do afterwards. Her facility is private, cute, and clean. I would recommend her to anyone! I recommended her to the same friend who came with me and we went together. She loved it too and actually handled it much better than me. I finally had the courage to try Brazilian waxing and I'm glad my first waxing experience was with Erika at Brazilian Studio. Erika is so nice, she talked me through the entire process, she makes you talk in order to ease the pain from the wax. It still hurt like a bitch though. So where do I start, Erica is thee best. Weather it's your first time or your 10th time she will make sure you feel at home & happy with your results. FYI to 1st timers, honey waxing isn't painful, like other types of waxing. I'm very anal when it comes to organization & cleanliness, so trust me when I say her studio exceeds expectations. I'm all about supporting local businesses and once again it was a smart move. I went in for a Brazilian and Erika was amazing. She has such a great positive attitude which is wonderful when you're lying there waiting for the pain. But she moves quickly so I only flinched a few times. My appointment was made for next day and when I say I was extremely nervous, I was extremely nervous. The location is located in a residential neighborhood, so the place is small, clean and comfy. All I have to say is, if you're thinking about getting a Brazilian wax or anything waxed (especially brazilian) I totally recommend Erika. The reviews don't lie when they say she does a great job and makes it less painful. I took my chance and went with her and I LOVE IT. Ive never gotten a Brazilian wax so of course I was nervous. My kitty has never looked better. I'd recommend taking an Ibuprofen 45 minutes before your appointment. I love how she talks to you during the process because it makes it go by faster and less painful. Seriously impressed can't believe Ive never done it, and I love how she lives a couple blocks away. I was referred to a friend and liked her work ethic and demeanor instantly. I have been coming to her for the past 5 months and have seen a tremendous change in my hair texture and growth. I do not get as many in-grown hair and my hait is getting thinner by the months. I knew the pain at the beginning would be worth it and now the pain level has significantly decreased. I love the wax Erika did on me this morning! She's friendly, observant and very informative. I've always gotten the hard wax done so the honey wax was a first for me and honestly I prefer it.
