This review is for they CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST that's done on Sundays. It is a fairly new thing they are trying and it is a great idea. It is by weight so you serve yourself and then weight the plate to gluons out how much to pay. This is very common in Brazil and I was very excited to come and experience it. We drove there and arrived around 11:30. The Instagram page said the breakfast goes from 8am - 1 pm. We arrived at 1130, there was nearly no food left and whatever that was left was cold. There's about an hour and a half left on the experience and I could not even get a second plate cause not even that they were replenishing. We told the manager lady that came by the table that we were kind of upset that with plenty of time the breakfast was in such poor shape. We ate cold food. No eggs were left, no bread at all.... And the warm food was in crock pots, even with that. They turned off the crock pots... they were already off when we arrived... at 11:30? For a breakfast experience that is over at 1pm.... I can understand that this kind of experience can be a gamble and the restaurant owner can lose a lot of money in food waste. But there was ways, maybe leaving the table open passing lunch for those who wake up late like me. Sunday is a day a lot of people go to church. At 1205 while we were still possibly trying to take advantage of the breakfast that is advertised to be over at 1pm, they started to break down. So we who were still there couple not have any more coffe of any of the food we came to eat anymore, and anyone that could come in last minute for the experience now will not be able to. If it was someone like me who lives half hour away, get here at noon to have the breakfast I would be very angry to drive and get here on time and see them breaking it down. I told my concerns to the staff and hope it will assist to improve the experience for their guests because this has a lot of potential, but it is not being executed. read more

We decided to venture out to the Matthews area. This spot is a no frills wide open affair with a variety of sports playing on lots of TVs. The bar pours a strong drink. I had a pineapple caipirinha. It contained fresh pineapple and was quite tasty. For the appetizer, we tried the chicken coxinhas, which is apparently a must have Brazilian street food. I didn't much care for them, but I don't think these were bad ones. I suspect that I just don't care for the mix of flavors and textures. I'll try the beef ones next time. For dinner, we shared the steak and fries platter and it was delicious. The flavors showcased the steak- no marinade, no sauce, just good steak, decent fries, and a cheese sauce. Between this and side salads, we were well-fed and quite satisfied. Our server was appropriately attentive and offered recommendations. I would recommend this spot for a lowkey, no frills, casual night out where good grub the main thing you're looking for. read more

I had really high hopes for my first time here, but unfortunately it fell flat for me. Not because of service because that was on point. I was seated immediately by a friendly hostess and then my waiter came over. Very sweet young man who I found out it was just his second day there. Hate I can't remember his name (my memory is horrid lol). He brought me out some house chips and bottle of water and a chilled glass. Very nice touch and the water was so refreshing. What I initially came for that I saw on the website couldn't locate on the menu so I asked abt it and was told it's not longer sold. Ok no worries so I went with the steak sandwich. Presentation was amazing and it looked very tasty, but honestly the steak didn't have any type of flavor to me which made the whole sandwich bland. My server asked if I wanted any sauces and he suggested some sort of special sauce, so I went with that. I dipped my sandwich in it and it did make it much better. There is a lot on the menu that I will definitely go back to try. And apparently there is live music sometimes and I saw drums and guitars on a stage. This place was absolutely delicious! I had the classic burger and added bacon to it, hands down one of the best burgers I ever had I also had the lava cake for dessert. It was so good that I forgot to take a picture of it for this review . I'd definitely be back when I'm in the area! read more

Authentic Brazilian Food Greeted by a friendly host and seated right away, ordered our drinks & food and it came in a timely matter. The food is spectacular, the steak chicken and sausage was the best part. It had a grill char taste packed with flavor. I didn't have any complaints on the food but the service did start to lack towards the end of my lunch. Took almost 45 minutes just to get our check as it started to get busy and our server who was our host was running around. Loved this place just wish the service was a bit better. We are heading home and looking for a place to eat. Found this location and decided to try it. It wasn't very busy which made me question the restaurant. That was a big mistake. As soon as we entered we were seated the staff was wonderful allowing us to ask questions as well as going over and telling us all about the food and what to expect. Atmosphere is actually quite nice clean restrooms as well as clean table top and chair. Finally we cannot stop talking about the food. We had the Chef's Picanha shareable plate which was basically steak and fries. It was amazing. We could not stop talking about how good the steak was fatty but the meat was very delicious. We could not stop eating it and we actually thought about ordering another one just to go over and have that delicious food again. A person with us got chicken finger platter, looks like they were fried in old grease, very dark. Waitress was not attentive, never took a drink order, when we did order drinks, it came after our food after we reminded her. THEN then we got the $3 mineral water.... she put her hands over EACH CUP. It apparently was karaoke night (but we had no way of knowing that, because they have no website)...being entertained by the 4 people singing is probably how we kept our cool (and the only reason atmosphere got 3 stars instead of 1) . I explained to the one person on the staff that looked over 21, she looked apologetic but did nothing... her response was how was the food. We had a very disappointing experience at "Brazilian Way Sports Bar" in Matthews, the main reason being a COCKROACH on my plate. The waiter brought us two extra plates, and when I picked up the first one, there was a dead cockroach on the second plate underneath. He took the plates back and brought new ones. The manager was nowhere to be seen, and only showed up upon my request when I was ready to cash out. The manager, Bruno, said there was nothing he could do other than apologize, and refused to comp the meal since I wouldn't be recommending this place to anyone. Beyond that, the food was mediocre. As a Brazilian, who drove over a hour to try this place, I was not impressed. The yuca and the rice were super dry, the farofa and vinagrete bland, and the meat quality was average at best. read more

We wanted to try something different for dinner and stumbled upon this new Brazilian restaurant. Upon entering, we were greeted with the hostess, which sat us down immediately. It looked like there was a live band, but they did not play. It seemed like they were just rehersing for their set later on at night. Bug open space with plenty of seating options. Now they do not paper menus. They have a QR code that you need to scan in order to access their menu. We are not a fan of this at all. They ended up bringing over their larger iPad so that we could browse the menu a little bit better. Ended up getting some cheese and beef empanadas, their steak, rice, beans plate, and a rice dish that had egg, sausage, and marinated beef mixed into it. Overall, the dishes were fantastic. The empanadas were very delicious and flavorful. Came with a Green Aoili sauce, which definitely made it taste better. My steak was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. Fries were nice and crispy. The rice dish, unfortunately, was not a hit. For some reason, my husband was expecting a different type of flavor. It just was not what he really wanted but ordered it to try something different. It tastes good, but all the meat mixed into the rice plus their green salad they add on top makes it all have a very weird taste. Overall, great experience. Will be coming back for sure. read more

The service is wonderful they are extremely friendly and always have discounts happening as well and fantastic suggestions on what is the best to order. Victor has been the server both times I went and he is awesome! We ordered the mandioca frita which is fried yuca and the meat plate it's a great option to share with friends along with other appetizers which can replace a regular entree. The bolinho de costela which is the first option in their menu is a MUST so delicious and honestly everything is delicious traditional and very much like the true flavors of Brazil, my country I haven't been in so long. If you have never had Brazilian food here you'll try true classic mostly the experience of a true Brazilian bar. They have beer towers which I wish I had a picture for and also live music at night. They have competitive prices at lunch time and the ambience is the real deal. If you haven't tried you must it's one of my favorites cose to work and in town right now. Great on delivery, ho hum in person. Trigger Warning: I am going to be very straightforward in this review, because I so much want this place to succeed. As an entrepreneur in the food space, it's a location where nothing has done well. So the good and the bad are on full display here with hopes they will accept feedback. Delivery items: 5 stars. The stroganoff and the Brazilian boxes are on point. The Tropeiro Beans, I can compare to good collards, if half the greens were beans. The Picanha, perfectly salted and delicious on delivery. Green and red side sauces are flavor winners. Chicken Milanesa is fantastic. Farofa is on point. In house food: 3 stars. I went with friends for an in-house experience (because I was bragging) and it was less than great. We ordered the mixed BBQ and the chicken was very dry, veggies barely cooked, sausage and beef were mid. Do not order. Farofa and vinaigrette were very good. Coxinhas were great, very filling and flavorful. I wanted to order dessert but with most of the food being mid, I didn't want to ruin all of much future hopes. Atmosphere: 3 stars. TVs everywhere. The tables and seating are subpar. They bring the score down. Wobbly and school cafeteria style. Probably should use some table cloths for an easy solve for the cafeteria look, and avoid sitting people at dysfunctional tables. Service: 2 stars. Not good. Friendly. Unbussed tables everywhere nearby for our entire meal. We did not get, many utensils for the food, and they did not walk by to check on us for a solid 10 minutes, so we wound up serving ourselves with our own already-used eating utensils. Happy I came with friends to share more than food. The actual QR code menu: 1 star. For real, this place needs someone to make them a mobile friendly menu. They have a QR code menu, which #1, is not customer friendly. And why not? Specifically, because it takes you to their mobile website and you can only view 1-2 items at a time, and have to scroll down and down and down. This is perhaps, the WORST implementation of a QR code menu, that I have ever seen. Easy fix though....pdf that or just print some menus. I am going to give 3.5 stars in any case, because of my prior good experiences, and not let one bad one spoil, what can be, one of the best places on Sardis to eat and gather with friends. Great new Brazilian restaurant in the Matthews area! A great family restaurant with lots of Brazilian food and music! Yes, they have live music Thursday-Sunday after 6:30pm. The food had the perfect Brazilian seasoning. We had empanadas (chicken and ground beef) nicely crunchy and with a well seasoned filling. We had coxinhas, the famous Brazilian chicken croquettes) that were also very good. We ordered a Brazilian barbecue mix (picanha, chicken, sausage) that was well served for 4 people, and it came with sauté onions and we also ordered fried yucca. For dessert we had Churros with dulce de leche and volcano cake, both were very good. We will definitely come back as they have different specials each day of the week. This is going to be a mixed review. I went here for drinks with a friend on a Friday or Saturday, and it was busy and lively, with a guitarist. I don't speak Portuguese, so was a little worried how it would go, but service was great. They seemed very anxious to make us feel welcome. Drinks were good but a little on the expensive side. A couple weeks later I went with my wife to try out the food. We went on a quiet night during the week. Unfortunately on this trip the service was very bad, even though there were not many customers. Water was never refilled, our food was way overcooked, then the waitress did not check on us for the longest time so we could ask why our medium steak was well done and the chicken overcooked and dry, and with very little seasoning. We could see her hanging out chatting with the other staff, but could not get her attention. A simple and plain house salad to balance out all the meat was $10 and was small and unspectacular. It was really disappointing as I had high hopes for the food. Maybe I just caught them on an off night, but overcooked food and poor service are a bad combination. I went with my Brazilian girlfriend and we both had a great experience. They have both English and Portuguese menus and the food and service were great. Highly recommend the feijoada croquettes (get extra green sauce, trust me). Also get a passion fruit juice, you won't be disappointed. Another 10 minutes to get the drinks and each one had 2-3 ice cubes in each glass.
