The tent campsites are TINY and very close to each other. This wouldn't be so bad if your group has two side by side, but if not, beware. When we questioned the camp host about the lot sizes she snapped at us about how they were the biggest around. That is a lie, but whatever. The grounds keeper was also very rude and creepy. Anyway, the site beside us was full of frat boys who were drinking heavily through the night. Falling out of their cars, puking everywhere, screaming. I checked on them a few times and they were nice enough but continued to play music into the early hours of the morning disturbing my family and the family next to us. People use hipcamp to avoid the crowds. This was like a typical Texas state park. Nothing special besides the river. The hiking was terrible. And the lots are SMALL. We left an honest and fair review on the hipcamp website and the owner Tony responded with the most hateful retort, haha. Saying that his ranch was worth $5million dollars and our measly $100 rental didn't deserve a bigger site or space. That the $100 wouldn't even pay for his gas. He caters to the ones who rent out the acre lots, not weekend campers. Very unprofessional. So I'm sure for some this place will be fine, but management is rude and the lots are trash. We will never go back and would not recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing camping trip. This is stripmall camping on a pretty spot.

Then were told it was just $16,900 for a membership to just Tres Rios and that nobody ever took that one because take a guess at how much it is for a membership to include all their resorts. Cmon take a guess, no really take a guess. $20,000, $25,000 maybe $30k. Not even close!!! It's the same price!!!!!How amazing is that? How can this be? Oh the insanity of these folks to sell all of that for the same price as just the one. No wonder anyone ever took the deal with just one resort! Tried a soft close then went and looked at the resort. Then came back and tried another close. When still resisted the awesomeness of this deal, they brought in the The Closer, the manger, the magic man, the man that could make things happen. Have you ever seen the old movie "Used Cars"? Do these morons think nobody has sat and listened to a cheesy used car salesman before. Because he liked us so much. I felt so special and unique. He offered us not only Tres Rios but a resort in Oklahoma and wait there's more. All the other resorts plus access to all Coast to Coast resorts. And all this for guess how much? Cmon you guessed so bad last time give it another try. Ok I won't make ton wait anymore. All that for $8000. I sat there and thought you MFers tried to sell me at $16,000 and then come in at $8k. Wow what a sleezy sales tactic. Then tells me if money is a problem I can finance with only half down. I assure him that money was not the issue. We would never use enough to justify not to mention they tried to bend me over. He kept talking about money and even the girl that had showed us around even stated telling him money wasn't the issue. He was getting pissed and dug deep telling me I owed it to my family to take them on vacations and leave this membership to them when I died. Told him I have 3 grown ass kids that none of them like to camp or stay in RV Parks. They have left home and can pay for their own vacations. He just could not believe that I wasn't falling or his superior sales tactics and pitches. Sad part of it is the girl that gave us the tour and was our sales person was doing well and I might have bought from her. The whole thing was very unpleasant. Oh yeah they tell you upfront there's no high pressure or arm twisting to buy. Now about the park. It's nice. In between three rivers like the name says. Gave us a site that was all dirt. You'd think if your wanting to sell someone you'd give them a nice spot. Office folks were hit or miss. We're really friendly upon arrival but went back another day and seemed stressed because of phone calls and were short that day. The resort has live oaks and pine trees Only one shower building with two showers each for men and women. Pretty clean considering public restrooms/showers. It's not a bad place to spend a few days. Just know your going to sit through an ass beating sales presentation. Good place for kids as have a play ground and they can play in Squaw Creek as well as adults can sit in lawn chairs in the creek. Just remember to put your adult beverages in a cup that is not glass anywhere other than your camp site. Most of the other guests were friendly. Just don't step foot on anyone's else's camp site. Some folks take that stuff serious.

Pool is glistening, lots of fresh paint on the cottages and fences, and the grass is green and well maintained. We were greeted by Angie who offered a huge smile and a hug. She ushered us to a shady campsite and the customer service has been wonderful. The activity schedule is full of fun and the park quests are friendly and quiet. Plenty of room for our 42' fifth-wheel and two trucks. The park is nestled in-between three rivers (thus the name, Tres Rios). We have totally enjoyed our stay and our membership!

They have recently cleaned the inside up and it is very nice now. Camping is great there and I have done that many of times also. I make a 70 mile round trip several time a month on Friday, Saturday and on Sundays sometime. It is my understanding that they are fixing to add a little bait shop on the grounds and already have a cabin to rent. Call Wes at the number on the sign and he will be happy to help you out with any questions. Penny Judd

So I've heard people talk about fishing at the "crappie house" here in Graham (Lake Eddelman), but…read morecould never find information on what, how & why, so here goes... This place lies about 2 miles from town (reference point is North side Allsup's) off Hwy 380 going towards Newcastle, off of Hot Point Loop Rd. Once on Hot Point Loop, you'll take a dirt road for about 4 or 5 minutes to your destination. Basically a floating barge you can fish from both inside and outside. A valid fishing license is required. Bait is sold here (minnows are $3/dozen), as well are snacks and fishing equipment rentals. Folding chairs are available but not the most comfortable. As you arrive, there's an "honor system" box located before the ramp to the dock (I found out you can also pay the attendant inside the facility). Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children. An attendant is on site whenever they're open. There are metal rails all around the outside, and inside as well, with occasional rod holders welded into the angle iron rails. The interior fishing area has an estimated 10' x 20' opening. As for restroom facilities, if you're squeamish, you'd better use a restroom before you come out. The only thing on site is an outhouse, which I didn't even dare venture into. I'm giving this 3 stars because it could use updating and some renovations (occasional broken deck boards can be a hazard). Otherwise, the convenience of having a place like this available to the public for those that can't afford their own boat, is awesome. Fishing was a little slow for me this day (windy, and I caught 5 crappie and 1 catfish, all on live minnows), but it's nice if you want to get away and relax. More info is available on their Facebook page (Dad's Crappie House). Come chec

Love the river! This…read moreis a section of the Pecan Bayou that passes the 377 highway coming from the Brownwood Lake headed on to the gulf of Texas. (Not only highway 377, but also highways 67 and 84 as well. At this point all of these highways are combined.) This is a fun little area to fish, very tough to fly fish, due to the vegetation, but still due-able. If you're going fishing and you pass over this point, it is always a good idea to check out the water flow and the color of the water. The water flow can be unbelievable after a great rain. You always want to double check this after wet weather, there could be a lot of water released from the dam. If you check out the vegetation around the water it will also give you an insight to the bug life, which the fish feed upon. Another fun note about this place that it reminds me of all of the Texans that have come here before me. The ones that either fished here, swam, had romantic dates, gathered drinking water, it is just kind of a fun nostalgic little creek. The fish here in this area range from small mouth bass, large mouth bass, catfish, perch, sunfish and the list goes on for warm fresh water fish. Now what I recommend, if you're going to fish here is fishing from the bank. You want to test the waters temperature, fish are very sensitive to the temperature. They also like coverage, as in a submerged log or something that helps give them protection from predators. There are several ways to go after them, like a surface bug / rig and work it lick it was live animal. Or go just the opposite way and go deep where the big fish maybe located at. What ever you do work your rig like it was live! **On a safety issue, always let someone know where you are going fishing ahead of time and what time roughly you should be back. Another key note, is to watch for snakes. The snakes could come from the water, or land, but know that they most likely are there to feed. Looks before you step! You do also need to wash out for those 'pocket panthers', we did get a photo of one listed in the photos of the review. This is a fun little fishing spot with such easy access! Have fun, be carful and remember only catch the ones you are going to keep, unless you practice the 'catch and release' method which I think you should do! Have fun!
