He made my friend Go back down the side of The bridge to go get the tube she had abandon because she couldn't get out earlier. If you aren't physically advanced or capable of much don't take his river float because you won't be able to get out. He'd have left us all if we didn't have his dang tubes. Do not waste your time because he won't explain where to get out. And he will threaten you then talk about how godly he is. Pathetic.

We were a crew of 4 flight attendants on a long layover in search of a day adventure. The Trinity River did not disappoint. The water level was high and a little swift at times which we enjoyed. Prepare to see many different birds and we had quite a few fish jump near our canoe. The water was just fine...we did not fear for our lives...the water was clean and what you would expect in a large city. Although you are in Dallas it seems more like a remote river out west at times. Please take heart in our review....we have traveled to every state in the country and tubed,whitewater rafted or gone canoeing in almost all of them if available. So my wife, daughter and I tried our hand at it. We had the most fun ever. It was special because it was my wife's was birthday. This was something she always wanted to try and I for one was glad that we all did. Ms. Theresa, was the person in charge of the rental place. Mr. Patrick who was a volunteer at the TCPaddlesports was really helpful as well. The only set back for me is that they have no changing rooms the portable potty is dirty and they have to put up the toilet paper so it won't be stolen. Since this is a nonprofit rental place the have no changing rooms. My advice is if you get there before they open and you need to use rest room. Make sure you have personal hand sanitizer and toilet paper. The price for an hour outing was $60.00. Ms. Theresa was truly awesome and very welcoming. Thank you Ms. Theresa, you made it fun.

We found Discover Kayak and Steve through a search in our local area for basic kayak instruction…read morefor our Girl Scouts to accomplish their paddling badge. First, working with Steve was so easy and relaxed! As you can imagine, coordinating a kayak trip with Texas weather and multiple involved Girl Scouts posed a bit of a logistical nightmare but Steve was understanding all along the way! He was understanding when we dropped a few girls and added one back on and when weather canceled us the first few times he was very clear and quick with the communication. Second, Steve was incredibly informative and patient with our Girl Scouts. This was a group of girls ages 11-15 but most of our group fell into the 11-12 year old range. He kept the girls on task and made sure they were watching at the important parts without coming across as too tough. The girls LOVED the experience and I highly recommend Steve and Discover Kayak to Girl Scouts and new kayakers alike. Thanks again Steve!

A port-a-potty out there would be amazing for the people who come down to picnic, take photos, and just swim in the general area. Other than that, I highly, highly recommend this place! We're taking a bunch of friends out again this weekend to kayak, we liked it so much.

Angela Bright was the Ranger for the more challenging hike versus the other more moderate hike. There was a story-telling hike afterwards, but I ran out of steam. The pace of the hike was fairly easy-going; however, there plenty of ups and downs on the hiking path. On my way out to go home, I shopped at the park store.
