The weather was perfect and the 5-star service provided by Cameron (great enthusiasm for his job) was really appreciated by our group. It was our first time on Lake Granbury, so he gave us a great orientation to the lake and how to stay in the deep channel away from any trouble or shallow areas. We were able to see availability on the Sams Dock website, and secured our start time reservation right there online. We rented a large pontoon that was super clean, and in perfect working order with good safety features of latched doors, safety equipement on board, and safety 3ft high wall around the deck that created a safe platform inside for the kids. (Good to have boundaries for the kids!) Although we didn't do it, we could have rented a tube to pull behind the boat as the motor was quite powerful. Ii easily was able to go up to 35 or 40 miles per hour. (tubbing next time.) The girls did swim from the boat and the fold-down ladder helped get them back in the boat easily. We rented the boats for 2 hours as it was our first time to try out the lake. Next time I'd like to try half-a-day or full day so we can stop for lunch and do some fishing. Having owned a boat for 12 years before, it is a much better deal to rent. It saves a whole lot of money and a whole lot of work and a whole lot of worry about the maintenance of the boat. **** Thank you Cameron at Sam's dock for a great experience!

Had Tim do all the required maintenance that had not been done. Discovered water pump had not been changed for at least 2-5 years!. Installed new pump. Plus, I had him install LED lights along the sides and docking lights. Everything was done to perfection. The boat runs great. No more worries! Eight months later: Nov 2019-Put fresh gas with ethanol treatment and gas stabilization treatment in boat. Kept trickle charger on battery. April 2020: Two squeezes of 2stroke oil from oil tank. It's very close to the dog park and the hike/bike trail too. In fact, it would be a nice walk from the square, on the journey through time trail (or something like that) to the disc course. Bottom line: More fun in Granbury.
