    United Meat (original size)

Got the United Meat (original size) which was enough for two. The meat combo of corned beef and pastrami was great, but I liked the pastrami better (so flavorful and slightly fatty). The onion bun was also soft, pillowy and wonderful, and the Swiss cheese worked super well with the meat as well. I'm so curious to try their pound-it size; I believe I can finish it myself :) We were gonna dine it but it was too bad they didn't have enough staff to open the restaurant. We had to find the nearest park instead. I wish they open the restaurant next time.

As always so good! Consistent with taking orders and making sandwiches specific to how you order them! Lean, coleslaw, mayo and Russian on onion roll! Thanks for a great lunch!

Good was hot and fresh and delicious as always. I come from Alabama to get one every couple of years and it never disappoints.

I went to bread basket about 10 years ago, and it was great. It was the first alternative to Lou's deli that I would be happy about. So we went there today and we ordered two sandwiches and we tried their corned beef egg rolls for some reason. I ordered the bread basket sandwiches which is like a dinty Moore but with Swiss cheese. I ordered the original size sandwiches and I was a little disappointed. The last time I went here the sandwich was stacked so high I could barely bite it, and the meat was very tender and thinly sliced. There was a lot of flavor from the Russian dressing and the tomatoes. This time I could barely taste the sauce the meat was a little salty and a little bit more tough and the bread was tasted old and stale. It was falling apart. The corned beef egg rolls were actually good crunchy on the outside the meat was tender and not too salty. It's amazing you go there mainly for corned beef sandwiches but then the egg rolls are better. Anyway someone actually told me that Bread Basket went downhill over the last few years but I didn't believe it so I wanted to verify for myself and guess what they were correct. I wouldn't count them out as they have I believe a locations around Detroit area so maybe they might take customer service and get back on track or maybe the next time I visit Detroit they'll be gone like many other businesses who don't care about customers or their reputation. I usually find that restaurants that are just greedy and trying to make a buck they don't last.

One of the best places for genuine Jewish corned beef and pastrami; there aren't many locally. Both times I've gotten pastrami with Russian dressing and cheese on rye. My friend has ordered the corned beef sandwich and LOVES it. AWESOME! I wish I had taken photos but didn't think of it until I had already inhaled most of this delicious sandwich. No one wants to see anyone's partially eaten sandwich, right?? They even cut it in quarters for me because the sandwich is so full of beef it's hard to manage! WILL be a standby for great takeout in this area. They offer doordash delivery, very convenient.

Great sandwich. Ordered a Turkey, Swiss, Lettuce , Tomato on a grilled rye bread. I grew up going to this deli and hadn't had it since I was a kid. Glad to see they are still making good sandwitches.

Good corn beef sandwiches! I enjoyed the tenderness of the beef. It is the reason I only go here for corn beef.

I ordered the Italiano - Genoa salami, fire roasted ham, pistachio mortadella, capicola, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, on fresh focaccia bread. They have a menu board with multiple options listed. You order at the stand at the back of the store, and then our food was brought out to us even though we had ordered it to go. I am not sure if that is always the process- I was expecting to go to the counter to pick it up myself so that was a nice surprise! We ordered our sandwiches to go even though we were dining in as we knew we would be taking home leftovers. The seating area inside is no frills. They have less than 10 tables inside, and when we were leaving all of them were full with people waiting for seats. They did appear to have 2 tables outside but they were not being used as it was raining. They did have a carafe full of ice water that was self serve by the door, and they had large cups available which I appreciated! My eyes were immediately drawn to the Spicy Chicken Caesar and the Napa Club. Since this was my first time I ordered both and planned to share half of each sandwich. When I opened the Spicy Chicken Caesar I was surprised by the appearance of it. I had expected a lot more lettuce inside. It looked more like chicken salad rather than salad with chicken. The flavor was good and it was not too spicy! The focaccia was very soft. The Napa Club had great flavor to it, but when I was eating it I could really tell that there was avocado inside of it. The predominant flavor was the garlic and herb aioli. I did feel the chicken was a touch on the dry side. Overall, my experience and food were good; however, I am not sure I agree with the rave reviews. I would return in the future and would love to try some of their other meats aside from chicken, and their pasta salad also looked nice. The service was friendly and I feel like the price was fair. It's a nice addition to downtown Farmington!

The restaurant itself was clean, calm, and welcoming, and the food coming out of the kitchen looked really good. They do offer gluten-free buns, which was exciting to see at first. When I asked about the meats though, the person at the counter let me know that their meat options aren't gluten-free. Since I have Celiac disease, that meant I wasn't able to order anything. I did appreciate how straightforward and accommodating the staff were about it. They answered my questions without hesitation, which is always helpful when navigating gluten-free dining. Even though I couldn't eat there, the place looked well run and the atmosphere was nice. I'd still recommend it if gluten isn't a concern.

My kid had a hot pastrami sandwich. Let me start by saying that my sandwich was not only perfect, but it was massive. Expensive? Yes. But I more than got what I paid for. This felt like it was right around a pound of meat absolutely massive, it's 7 hours later and I am not even close to hungry. Great value here! Staff is friendly too. Basic interior, nothing fancy here. But the good is great. I highly suggest you order at the counter, not the kiosk, they have a ton of stuff not on the menu on the kiosk! J.Ja
