The food was FRESHLY prepared and totally DELICIOUS! Generous portions and a good value. Service was expeditious and customer's are greeted upon entering. The ambiance is great. Dining area is clean and inviting. They also have an efficient set up for pick up or Door Dash deliveries.

My husband and I met our son for a late lunch today. Everything was amazing. I ordered the Michigan salad, it was fresh and very tasty. Lots of grilled chicken, walnuts, cucumber, cranberries, bleu cheese, romaine and delicious pita bread. The nice addition was a hard boiled egg served with the salad. The raspberry vinaigrette was a very good combination of sweet and tangy. My husband had the Philly Steak Sub, it was huge! He enjoyed it very much. Our son had the cod sandwich, the chipotle mayo is a nice change from the usual tartar sauce. The owner welcomed us as we came in through the door. She was super friendly and personable. The deli was clean and had a huge selection. I wish we lived closer! They do have a location in Troy which is closer to home, we will definitely be checking it out!

I love Central Park. Their wraps are so good! My favorite is the fajita one with chicken. I also love their salads; they have good homemade ranch. Dinners, desserts, honestly everything is good here, and they're always friendly. A great place to have in Southfield.

Third times a charm! Central Patk Deli never disappoints. This time I tried the CPD combo, no substitutions or additions. I highly recommend the onion roll.

Club roll up

I have finally had with this place. Take a look at my club roll up except there's no bacon. Can you believe they left off the bacon the star of the show the main ingredient on a club. couple of weeks ago I got the roast beef with extra mayo there was so much mayonnaise. I had to throw the sandwich out. I couldn't eat it. I called the next day and all I got was I'm sorry ma'am I'm sorry. Their soup is going down hill as well. And try to stay away from a Thursday night the guy with the knit hat and the long braids is too busy babysitting his child so he don't really care what he's putting out the door. What a shame. This new generation of these young folks servers is bad for business. The atmosphere isn't that great either. It's like walking into a police station.

Of course with inflation, a sandwich is between $15 and $30(for the POUND IT). The portion is overly generous and my corned beef was cooked to PERFECTION! Pickles come with any sandwich purchased. Reserved parking is also available right outside the front door and restaurant is barrier free. There's a reason they have consistently been rated BEST delicatessen!

My best friend and I used to ride our bikes here to grab a corned beef on a Kaiser roll. Well, one thing I can say. I can no longer just recycle cans to pay for my sandwich. The prices have definitely increased, but I guess that's par for the course. I also didn't get a sandwich once I saw they had the egg rolls on the menu. Glad I did. While they weren't anything to necessarily write home about, they went very well with my salad for lunch. They were crunchy and the corned beef inside was quite tender, however the meat lacked flavor and I didn't care for it being served with sauce. Would love a bold mustard type sauce. Will ask if that's available next time. Gonna have to go back for the sandwich. Just to see if it brings me back to my teenage years. Service was quick and professional. No complaints.

The only issue is, I'm guessing the kitchen was backed up and the servers were a bit overwhelmed. We ended up having an enjoyable meal, and the food itself was great as always. And eventually someone who was not technically our server took care of us and did an excellent job. I shared eggs and challah french toast with my daughter and both were great. The latte (ehhh) ... Maybe just get regular coffee. I was in the mood but they don't do almond milk in it and it was just OK. So I wouldn't get that again here.

I finally made it on a free morning, just in time for an early lunch. On the day of my visit, it was cold and wet, so outdoor dining was out of the question. Just inside is a large deli counter with items available for take-out. Beyond that was a large and stylish dining room, where diners enjoyed the last of their breakfasts. I was a smidge earlier than everyone else for lunch; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior. In retrospect, I should have tried some of the foods I've enjoyed from my hometown: knishes, blintzes, latkes; I'm now dreaming of meals I've had in my past. Service was fine at first, but my server got busy elsewhere, and her coworkers pitched in.

Remember: Bring cash! Used a card, and the cashier had to type it in manually (it was nice of them to do that). Now for the food - We got a few meats--turkey pastrami, corned beef and a "wildcard" (I let the staff pick, and whatever it was it was good). We also got the special spices etc. I do prefer a more of an Italian sandwich on a hard roll, so I'm not sure the soft onion roll is for me. If you like a cold sandwich un-toasted and generally basic with a bit of a twist, you will love this! My husband and I enjoyed the sandwich (split it, and they put mayo on half at my request). It's a charming spot, quality food and I'm glad we tried it. Skip the spicy potato salad. It was bland, sadly.

While cruising through the heart of Royal Oak, I noticed this little deli shop, calling my name…read morepast apartment buildings and local scenery. They have an extensive menu to include vegetarian options which was nice to see. They also have many local brands to include chips, sodas, and other small local business products (caramelized nuts, baked goods, etc.)! On the topic of local businesses, they also had a board which allowed local owners to post business cards and event alerts, fantastic for drawing the community together. Now, I ordered a Reuben as a lover of corned beef and sauerkraut. It was delicious and sizeable, a fair portion size for the money as well. The chips were also delicious having gone for the salt, pepper, and onion variety. A solid crunch and bursting with flavor. Among the positives I have two negatives, both of which are not adequate enough to lower their star ranking. Firstly, it took around 20-25 minutes to get our food after ordering. I rarely hold timing against a restaurant as having worked in food, I know lunch rush exists and things happen. To mitigate this (for those in the area) I believe they have an online ordering system, which I would recommend utilizing! Secondly, they do not have indoor seating, so it is a very grab and go type establishment. This is counteracted by the multitude of benches around Royal Oak, though it would be nice to have some amount of seating, especially for those with accessibility needs and those waiting on their food. Overall, Oak House Deli is solid and delicious and I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area!
