Their menu features a large selection of sandwiches so I just ordered the one at the top, the Dinty Moore on rye, and it was an excellent choice. The sandwich was perfectly constructed, fresh, and absolutely delicious. For just $2 more, I added a small bag of chips and a can of Faygo, making for a great value meal. I enjoyed it right there in the cozy, quaint shop, nestled by the window in their charming seating area. The restaurant was very clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciated the cash discount. Parking was easy with a free lot, which is always a plus. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'll definitely be stopping back whenever I'm in the area again! My hairdresser 2 doors down recommended this establishment and she was spot on! I chose the piled high Reuben for $16. The chili was from Chelio's chili and was excellent at $4.25. Even though Chelios chili is closed downtown, they still sell their chili in frozen bags. I added a pop and chip combo for $2. Total was $24 which I know is kind of expensive for a lunch, but the sandwich and chili were REALLY EXCELLENT AND I SAVORED EVERY BITE. Time to be blunt - Mid Eight Sandwich Shop is officially our favorite sandwich shop in Michigan, period. My girlfriend and I have been several times and I've ordered a different sandwich each time. They've all been amazing. Mid Eight Sandwich Shop has an absolutely great menu and I'm seriously going to try them all. I don't do that anywhere, but I'm going to do it here. As of today, my favorite is the Monster Sandwich. Sooooooooo good. Each (massive) sandwich is expertly crafted with 7 meats and your choice of veggies and presented in a beautiful manner with a pickle and is about $11 each. I've been meaning to order here for awhile now and kept forgetting! I saw them post on Facebook which reminded me to give them a try. I am so glad I did because my food was spectacular! So I went through DoorDash for lunch and ordered their mid eight monster sandwich on an onion roll, toasted, and added pickle spears and potato salad on the side. This sandwich definitely was a monster! It was packed to the brim with not only the deli and cheese but a generous amount of veggies and dressing. Having it toasted is the way to go because it added a nice crunch to the already bursting with flavors sandwich. Pickle spears top notch can't go wrong with it. The potato salad I thought was on the smaller side but it honestly filled me up perfectly and changed my opinion. The potato salad is on the sweet side so don't order it if you prefer something more tart- I loved it though! I'm going to have to try other sandwich's and their chili next. read more

First visit to one of the newest sandwich shop and I must say we were very impressed. We ordered one of the Mid Eight Monster and it only takes half to fill you up. We also ordered The Beef and it was delicious. If you like the sting from horseradish then this is your sandwich. If you are not a fan of horseradish or that wasabi type burn let them know and ask for "light" sauce. I am a fan of straight horseradish but, one of the bites I think bit back...lolol...so worth it! Lastly, the sandwich maker was very polite and his helper was just as friendly. This makes trying a new place so worth it when the workers take pride in what they are creating. I order my lunch from here to my job through DoorDash almost every day. The sandwich is ALWAYS amazing, and so are the pickles. Finally got to try the Mid Eight shop. They feature hot corned beef and pastrami on their front window. I ordered a dinty Moore on an onion roll. I asked if it came with a slice of pickle and was told they sell whole pickles for 1.50. Ok,but all the competition gives you one or two pickle spears. Asked if I wanted an onion roll I said yes and a mediocre onion roll was fished out of a big bag. The next surprise was the pre sliced deli type corned beef and pastrami put on the roll open faced and then inserted into a toaster oven. The sandwich then had a scoop of good coleslaw put on it and I asked if I could have a packet of Russian dressing. I was told it was already on the sandwich but if I really wanted a small cup he would oblige. I was charged .25 for the dressing which is neither here nor there. Total was 10.65 which wasn't bad. Now if this were my business,I would try to get some fresh sliced meats,include a pickle slice and a free packet of sauce. Don't be "penny wise and pound foolish". I realize times are tough for the small guy and that's why I tried them out. Other sandwiches looked good. I wish I had better things to say as most reviews have been very good. read more

I was super excited about the fact that there was a new sandwich shop in the area. However, my excitement soon turned to disappointment. When we walked in there was a funky smell that greeted us at the front door. Luckily there was no one there in line so we went right up to the sandwich maker. When ordering our sandwiches we had to repeat our selves several times and even after repeating ourselves several times he still got it wrong.
