Stopped by this charming little spot on the way back to Denver. We had previously tried a more highly rated breakfast spot in the area which was good, but not great, so we decided to try this place. Now, this is on our list of top spots to eat breakfast in town. We were here on the 4th of July weekend and most of the tables were already taken inside, so we put on our sweaters and sat outdoors. Turns out the patio is a beautiful spot to sit. Covered by a number of aspen trees, there is ample shade to keep cool and comfortable on a sunny day. You also get a great view of Main Street so you can do plenty of people watching throughout your meal. Service was attentive and great. They quickly came to greet us and take our order. Love that all the condiments are already out on the table (no need to pester) - hot sauce, cream, ketchup, salt/pepper, all your coffee sugars, etc. For some reason was quite tickled by the fact that the stack all the butter under an upside-down bowl on those outdoor patio tables. The food was very good. Got the Huevos Rancheros with the green poblano sauce (which the server recommended over the red chipotle sauce). Flavor was tasty, needed a little salt and pepper to kick it up a notch - but since all the condiments were on the table, no embarrassment in seasoning to my preference. Loved the hash browns - those perfectly crispy bits make me SO happy in the morning! Also ordered the Challah French Toast. My husband said that it might have been THE perfect French Toast - great bread, real maple syrup, fresh strawberries. Nothing fancy, but done properly and perfectly, therefore delicious. I overheard the next table over complaining that upgrading to include things like avocado ($3) and real maple syrup was annoying. I beg to differ - at least they give you the option - otherwise, those costs would be built into the meal, but perhaps people just don't like the idea of having to pay extra for anything. I have had Celiac for 15 years and feel it is important to be an advocate / educator. My partner and I ordered the 2 Egg Breakfast which comes with an English muffin. I asked for something to replace the muffin and was told I could have fruit or a corn tortilla but there would be an up charge. The up charge was what you charge for a side order. I said "no but thank you," yet you did not give me credit for the English muffin not served. I looked across at my partner's plate with a toasted English muffin that he buttered and added jam. But no replacement for the muffin you did not serve me. I get so frustrated with restaurants that cannot figure out how to accommodate this allergy. Something so simple as a few berries or banana slices on the plate would have made me feel like you cared and value my business. I'm hoping this will at least cause you to think about this and how you can do better. read more

It could be that Bread & Salt was overextended this afternoon, but my husband and I had a very long wait for everything: from drink orders to be taken to the arrival of food. We arrived at 11:50 and my husband finally had to leave at 12:35, with no sign of our lunch. Our pleasant-enough server was happy to bring a to-go box for him once lunch did arrive, but that resulted in my having to have lunch alone and then sit outside and wait for my husband to return. We understand that this happens, but the food was nothing special either. I could have whipped up my grilled cheese at home in 5 minutes: challah slices, a thinnish of mozzarella, and a schmear of pesto. It came with decent tomato-basil soup. It was OK but certainly not $15.95 worth of wonderful, which was the price. My husband had the Monte Cristo, which was cold by the time he was able to get back to pick it up, and also unremarkable (but better the next day for some reason). Neither sandwich came with any sides, except for the tomato soup with the grilled cheese--Just a sandwich on a plate and not much beyond a standard school-lunch grilled cheese sandwich. The grilled cheese was one of only two vegetarian sandwich options; the other was the Peak One Burrito, which might have been a better option. There are more veggie options on the breakfast menu. We had a clear view of the kitchen and food prep area and everyone was working their behind off. This was not seem to be matter of staff not caring. This was perhaps a matter of not enough staff or bad timing. Unfortunately, I do not believe that there will be a next time. read more

Ten of us we're staying in breckenridge and we're heading back to Denver to catch our flights. We decided to pick a place in Frisco for some brunch! The space isn't large so they split up our group, which we were totally fine with. I was at the table of 6 and our waitress was super friendly and funny! She was attentive and the service was great! The food was wonderful! I had the huevos rancheros - the waitress recommended the green sauce with it, but said I could do half and half to try both. I did the half and half and loved them both! I also tried the avacotini sandwich which was so fresh and delicious! The fresh jalapenos were super spicy, but I just picked them off. The view from the windows was beautiful - the town with the mountains in the back! I'm glad we stopped here on our way back to Denver! Great experience! read more

Please take your money elsewhere. Expect a very long wait if you're told to write your own name on the list. And expect no notification on wait time, just waiting for almost an hour until someone yells your name once. Once seated you will wait another 15 minutes to get greeted by your server. Make sure to put in your order now because you literally will not see them again until your food comes. Food sucked and sent both of us directly to the bathroom 20 mins after our meal (don't worry, we were still at the restaurant waiting for our check). My food was incredibly salty (chipotle pork Benedict). Husband's burrito was filled with raw onions (COOK YOUR FREAKING ONIONS PEOPLE) almost like they just added all the ingredients and set it under the heat lamp for the 30 minutes we waited for our food, ya know, to make the food hot. My Benedict was basically inedible. Salty as can be and soggy English muffins. I did get a side of refried beans that looked like the stuff Nacho Libre served the orphans, but it turned out to be the best thing we ordered. French toast hard as rocks. No lie, this place isn't worth your time, patience or money. Right down the road is Taco Bell. Save money and get your colonic from them instead of bread + salt food poisoning lol. read more

Randomly wandered into bread & salt and had the best meal of our stay in Frisco. Their home made breads are a highlight. The entire menu from soups to breakfast to lunch was delicious. And the service was spot on. We made the mistake of getting breakfast at the most popular breakfast spot in Frisco which quoted a wait time of 40 minutes which became 80 minutes. All for a breakfast that wasn't half as good as bread & salt. Save yourself the frustration and make bread & salt your first and only stop! read more

Solid fare in Frisco! There is an Italian place exactly catercorner to this place that is owned by the same people and shares this same menu as well. So if Bread+Salt is packed head over. That's actually where we ended up eating since the actual B+S location had a wait, so we ordered off of this same menu. Perfect with no wait! Nutella pancakes, breakfast BLT's, bagel with lox, truffled eggs and more...all good and hit the spot. Only downside was the insane amount of cotton fuzzies flying through the air which kept landing in our food and hair! Ha! Inside seating was way too warm and outside was actually better so we had to deal with the airborne fuzzies! read more

Everything we ordered (mostly vegetarian) was delicious and the ingredients all very fresh. Portions were great which made for a really good value. Bread + Salt lives up to their name. After signing in your group on the chalk board, wander over to the counter. Your senses will feast on freshly baked loaves of rustic bread, bacon, butter, pesto, hash browns, and pan cakes. The kitchen is simply amazing. Once I saw the fresh bread, I knew I had to have a sandwich and opted for the Avocantini: eggs, fresh jalapeno, pesto, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. The interplay of the salty, crusty rustic bread and the buttery smoothness of the avocado with the meaty mouthfeel of the eggs came together perfectly. Normally, I go for the bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit (fresh buttermilk biscuits are soooo good). But I have to say the Avocantini is better (would be perfect if the bread was lightly toasted!!!). Bread + Salt also serves a selection of local beers and cocktails. If you're craving a Bloody Mary with your breakfast, they have you covered. This review is for vegans and those with a food intolerance. I have an intolerance to eggs, so for breakfast I usually search for vegan options. This came up in my search even though there's no vegan options on the menu. But they were super accommodating. I got the Acovatini sandwich without eggs, and they had a bunch of veggies to choose from to add to it. I added mushrooms and onions. It was delicious! Mushrooms were a tad salty but alright for me. I did ask if the pesto on it has dairy, and indeed it does. Definitely recommend! read more

I was under the impression (based on reviews and the constant crowd of diners) that this would be a nice, sort of fancy brunch place in Frisco. One morning, I managed to grab a table here quickly before the crowd came in and looked forward to a nice, healthy meal. I wish I went somewhere else instead. Mind you, I did not have a horrible experience. The brunch I ordered was decent. I'd eat it again. But the service? Not cool. And the bill? Yikes. The great thing about dining alone is that it offers you the opportunity to observe everyone and everything going on in the restaurant. I watched as most of the patrons, myself included, waited quite awhile for service. I even saw a group come in and leave after they were ignored for a bit. Bread+Salt was definitely understaffed that day, and, in my opinion, not happy about it. None of the employees were happy -- they all seemed rushed and annoyed. Which in turn, left me feeling not happy about it either. I was anxious to get my food, eat, and leave. I waited awhile for my food. By the time I got it, I wasn't even hungry anymore. Funny how that works. I ate about half of my brunch (it did taste good) before I decided I was finished and wanted to leave (not even taking the leftovers). I had my card ready once I was handed the crazy bill but had to wait another ten minutes before someone came to get my payment. Blah. Once I left, I felt free!! And poor. read more

We have been sitting for over 30 minutes before someone acknowledged us for that 30 we saw people that we're seated after us was served drinks and had their food orders taken.. As we we're getting ready to walk up the waiter finally came over to us made an excuse that they were really busy there was only 2 of them and 3 tables along with they don't have half of the stuff on the menu. Oh yeah. This was a fabulous stop on our way out of Vail after a really fun weekend. They have a wonderful patio and seem like they are the hit of the town. We had vegans with us, and they chose the place based on the menu. While, the wait was a bit confusing, as there seemed to be two main doors, the wait was enjoyable just people watching. I do think this place has potential so we will give them another try in a few months. The impressions right of the bat is that it is an inviting and bright space. The food was lackluster. It's not bad but it is what it is. We had the hash (and it was not bad but warm beets in the dish were a bit suspect), the montecristo sandwich for almost 10$ was just that - nothing on the plate but the sandwich garnished by those small jellies that you get on the table. The bagel sandwich same thing - empty plate and a sandwich on it. Bottom line: not very impressed and expected more. Suggestion: some fruit / berries on a plate next to the main dish in the summer would make the plate pop a bit more. read more

We had a pretty average New Years Eve brunch here. Maybe because it was a holiday and they were short-handed, the service was really slow and the food either was too salty or didn't have much flavor. I had picked this brunch place over the other top 2 yelp breakfast search in Frisco (Butterhorn and Log Cabin) because it has a more varied Eggs Benedict selection. I tend to always want a Benedict for brunch because (1) it's irresistible and (2) poached eggs are a more difficult brunch item to make. It was a bit disappointing. My partner got the classic benny while I got the cured salmon one. He said his was too salty and I thought besides the salmon itself, everything else lacked flavor. Bread + Salt is on the Frisco Main Street with a gorgeous view of the mountains. There is free street parking but may be limited during busy times. There are two entrances to the restaurant, there is a blackboard near one entrance that's hard to see if you came in from the other. The blackboard is to put your name on to join to waitlist to be seated. Nice idea but a lot of people didn't get it (including us) and a staff member had to tell them. Will probably try another brunch place next time I'm in town, even if they don't have many eggs benny variety. read more

Rolling through Frisco, felling the tummy grumbling...where can we find good breakfast...try Bread+Salt...it's really good. Like most places, patios in the summer draw a crowd, they have a nice one, packed so we headed inside. Nice homey feel, but very tight, smallish table placement, which is fine until all the food comes. Service was very prompt, and we were ready to order when she arrived, they have very good coffee, so if you're a coffee drinker, you'll be pleased. Standard breakfast fare, so we did eggs, French toast, beet/vegetable hash, and bacon, which, not sure why bacon in the mountains tastes so good... Food was out in a snap, very good. French toast was cooked perfectly, not mushy in the middle, and the skillet, had a great combination of flavors that took the breakfast dish to the 5-star level. Throughout, she regularly checked on me, kept my coffee full, and was genuinely polite. The food...what can I say. Move over Butterhorn Cafe, I have a new favorite stop in Frisco! The menu has options and not too complicated. There are several unique options (I had the S.E.A.). I thought the seasonings and execution of food were superb. My only issue...hash browns were not crispy enough for my preference. I emphasize preference as it varies. It had a slightly crispy outer with a soft inner. I like a little more crisp on the outside. We arrived around 11am on a Sunday and had a 20 minute wait. (Shorter than the place across the street!) I got the truffle scramble (two scrambled eggs, mozzarella cheese, herbs, truffle oil, hash browns, toast) and a latte. The food was pretty good for standard breakfast fare, especially the creamy scrambled eggs. The latte came a lot earlier than the food. We were in a hurry and had to leave in a hour, but the waitress said they were not able to help that because they have to cook the food in the order in which it arrived. The restaurant didn't look too crowded by that point, but there was nothing we could do but wait. We were still in and out in a little over an hour, but this is probably a better place to enjoy a leisurely meal. read more

My friend and I eat "brunch" here several times a year. We love when we can eat outside! We both usually order breakfast. I love the SEA (Salmon, eggs, avacado) scramble. My friend has some dietary restrictions and the staff is always willing to accommodate her. Even when busy, the service feels reasonable. We love having time to chat without many interruptions. The prices seem reasonable when compared to Denver or the rest of Summit County. We are fortunate to have this "jewel" for breakfast, brunch and lunch in Summit County. read more
