I needed some vegetables in my diet, badly. Pure Kitchen popped up as a place to satisfy that requirement. The SO and I both chose vegetarian options. I ordered the Korean Zoodle Bowl with a tofu add-on. It was a bit sweet, but the mild spice helped to counteract this. The large variety of vegetables in it satisfied my closet vegan. The tofu had a very pleasing crispyness when it first arrived. I told the SO, "Quick, try the tofu!", when she got her bowl. The SO ordered the Summit Stir Fry with a tofu add-on. She enjoyed it, but thought it was a little on the sweet side. I thought it was a lot on sweet side. I made my bowl not seem so sweet after all, which I took as a plus. Overall the food taste and quality was good and the service was friendly. I will base my rating on that. I do have one comment not having to do with the food or service. Stop reading here if you don't care. Pure Kitchen has a 4% "Competitive Wage Compensation" charge. I was surprised to see this charge on the bill and only later saw that it was in the fine print on the menu, with an "opt out" option (what brave soul is going to "opt out" and risk spittle in their food). Maybe it's my fault for not looking at the fine print on menu, but it's a food menu, not a used car contract. Just my personal opinion, but I believe if a restaurant wants to have "fair wages" for their employees, it is their responsibility, not mine. Raise food prices, lower profit margin, whatever, but please don't add another tax. It just doesn't seem right. I have never once complained about high food prices in any of my reviews because it is my choice to go out to eat. I could eat at home if I want to keep within my monthly budget. I have avoided going to other restaurants based solely on this type of "fair wages" charge and will likely not come here again for the same reason (no matter how badly I want to try their Lamb Burger). I am really VERY SORRY for getting on my soapbox. I don't typically rant, but there are certain things that I believe should be addressed. I'm probably not the only person who feels this way. read more

Pros: Great menu for diverse dietary needs. Came here because a gluten-free, vegetarian friend loves it. My meal was very yummy. One person was somewhat disappointed by a dry meal. Nice space with gorgeous mountain views. Cons: Service that made it seem like an imposition for us to be there, from initial comments by the hostess to the server and bus staff rushing dishes out from under us as our whole party was finishing. I wanted to love it, but for these prices, I'd like more welcoming service. Customers aren't impositions. Not planning to come back. Also, the Yelp listing notes a "no tipping policy." Not the case. There are a lot of good things about this restaurant. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in a beautiful environment. The menu has tons of delicious-looking, healthy options. And if you're gluten-free, you must come here! It will take you 10 mins to figure out what to order. After much deliberation, I decided on the vegetarian burger. It had lots of yummy-looking toppings. It was quite tasty, in and of itself. It came with home made potato chips--who doesn't love homemade potato chips?! The burger's flavors weren't quite right. There was a raspberry balsamic (I think) that was too tangy and not right for the ingredients. Maybe something different. The potato chips were fine, but was there salt on them? I don't know. Service was a bit slow, but friendly. I think they had a rush right when we walked in. I'd come back if I lived here, but I think they need to work on some of the flavor profiles. Everything is fine, but just over seasoned and some weird flavor combinations that just didn't play out. We had a delightful dinner at Pure Kitchen! Shout out to our incredible server, Mariah, for accommodating our large group (11 people). I could see how this place would be a big hit with vegans and those with food allergies--lots of friendly options on the menu. All the food was great. We started with the gluten-free mozzarella sticks (made with homemade mozzarella!!) and the Portobello bites. Both were great but the mozzarella sticks are a MUST. For dinner, I ordered the grass-fed carne asada and it was delicious and a generous portion. I can't remember what everyone else ordered, but all enjoyed their meals. Besides hummus, the 2 main dishes we ordered all had wayyyyyyy toooo much sugar in them. The Korean zoodle bowl is a pure disaster for sure. That weird, thick gooey sauce is definitely not Korean. In addition, it had so much sugar!!!! I didn't feel good after eating it! Medium order was well done. -- Ketchup is a standard condiment, but wasn't initially presented. When we asked, it took forever to arrive and my burger got cold waiting. -- the house salad at an up charge over chips was a handful of spring mix, and shriveled dry grated carrots. After three songs of the same jarring beat I asked if they could change it, and they did for the time we were there. Overall- awesome food, drinks, ambiance, and service. We popped in for lunch while visiting from out of town. We had the lamb burger with a kale salad and stir fry bowl with salmon. Both were balanced and delicious. We loved that a kale salad was one of the regular options for a side for the lamb burger and the homemade chips on the lamb burger added a delicious and unique crunch to the dish. We had a really great date night at Pure Kitchen on a trip to the mountains! We were seated on the patio, which was really beautiful on the summer evening we were there. There was a nice selection of locally-brewed beers as well as lots of specialty cocktails. The food we got was absolutely delicious. My partner and I both got a Bowl: I got the Summit Stir Fry bowl with grilled chicken, and my partner got the Korean Zoodle Bowl with salmon. They were both outstanding and big enough portions that we had leftovers. We also got the buffalo cauliflower appetizer, which was delicious. Would highly recommend this spot for families or date night! Super fresh and yummy meal. Pure Kitchen checks all the boxes. My husband is a true meat eater and he too was very pleased. We shared the Brussels sprouts and Buffalo Cauliflower. These were both excellent. I had the Summit Noodle bowl and my husband had the Burger. He said the burger was excellent and he's pretty picky. My favorite was the Buffalo Cauliflower.
