Bread + Salt doesn't disappoint. It has a great menu with lots of classics and original modifications. The service is good but they're all busy so, sometimes there's a glitch. It has an outdoor table option which is the choice of many. The food quality is very strong. I've eaten here at least three times and tried different dishes for breakfast / lunch. All good. I like that they frown upon the new custom where people sit together at a table and communicate with the external world via text, Twitter, Facebook etc. read more

So delicious!!! Came here after spending a few days out in the mountains and it hit the spot! Great food and priced very well! I got the berry & Nutella pancakes with hash browns and it was AWESOME. Roommate got the eggs cooked in truffle butter and thought similarly. The challah bread is a must try also, and the coffee is great as well. Came across this little place while shopping in Frisco yesterday. There was about a 25 minute wait so we figured it must be good! The weather was perfect but a little chilly and we Alabama girls weren't dress quite warmly enough! Sat outside for lunch and even though we were freezing, it was totally worth it! I decided on the chicken with beets, goat cheese and pesto and wasn't disappointed! Beets were served hot and the chicken was perfect. I had the screwdriver and my daughter had a mimosa. Welcoming staff set the tone for our entire experience here. Warm, genuine greeting when we walked in, served coffee immediately by the second server along with a nice smile. Excellent service throughout. The two egg breakfast was delicious and a great value for $7. Big additipn of the local sausage links for just $1.50 more. My son's peach pancakes were terrific - fluffy mmmmmm. Coffee was really strong. I appreciated the cold pitcher of milk for the coffee and the warm pitcher of syrup - nice touches. After a seriously disappointing BLT experience at Deli Belly's yesterday, today my partner and I decided to redeem it by trying one at Bread + Salt instead. Oh boy, what a fantastic decision! We called ahead for pickup, so I can't speak to the seated service, but they were lovely and kind on the phone and in person. They told us about 15 minutes for food, and it only took 20 or so, which was a nice and quick turn around time. When we arrived, we were a little confused which door to wait at - there were a lot of people hanging around the people seated on the porch (not the best for social distancing, but at least they were outside and everyone had masks), and we came in the side door. We waited just a little while for the food to be ready, and were excited to get home to eat it. I cannot rave enough about how delicious their food was. I knew they focused on locally grown produce, and made their own bread, but it was so wonderful to actually taste the quality of the food. The bread was thick, with a crunchy sourdough-like crust and a soft, airy middle. The bacon was crisp, delicious, and plentiful, and whatever mayo they had on there was delicious. I'll even rave about the sides - the homemade tortilla chips were awesome (better even with salsa, I imagine!) and the side salad was unlike any house side salad I've even had. Clearly, it had a homemade vinaigrette, grapes, pine nuts, and cheese, and it was fantastic - and I'm not the biggest salad fan. If you are looking for a friendly breakfast or lunch place with outstanding, simple food and locally sourced ingredients, look no further. I can't wait to eat here again! read more

I really wanted to love this place, and was excited to try it after reading some pretty shining reviews. The four of us all ordered something different, ranging from Huevos Rancheros to Benedicts. The consensus of the table that everything was bland. Our food looked pretty tasty but we were left feeling very "meh" about it all. The service was good, the food came out quickly despite every table being occupied, and the place is cute and quaint. But let me tell you that beet and tomato hash absolutely won me over. I talk about it and have my daughter in law ( who is a chef) trying to copy it for Thanksgiving. I've eaten here many times over the years but finally reviewing after my visit this week. They are consistently amazing! On my recent trip I had a bloody mary and truffle scramble. The bloody was a bit spicy as it should be and had all the fixings to go along (olive, pickle, etc). Such a great way to start out the meal. The truffle scramble was better than I expected. The flavoring wasn't overpowering and just perfect. Don't skip out on the house made toast....super good with their jam. My friend had the beet hash and she said it was by far the best beets she's ever had (and she's had a lot over the years). They can get really busy on the weekends but so worth the wait! read more

I went to Bread + Salt to check out the food, seeing decent reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately, my experience was not great (not necessarily bad either). I ordered the Frisco Omelet with Jalapeños cooked with the omelet and a cappuccino. I was disappointed when the cappuccino came out foamy and with cinnamon sprinkled on top, but otherwise the taste of the cappuccino itself was good. Then I tried the omelet plate. The plate comes with a salad with dressing. Unfortunately the dressing was overly salty. The omelet was OK. I couldn't tell if the Jalapeños had been cooked with the omelet, they looked freshly cut. Perfect place for breakfast/brunch in Frisco. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The cafe itself has big windows all around the store-front and large structural beams overhead giving it a mountain-type old town feel. The service was excellent. We had the lox bagel and the two egg meals. Both were perfectly prepared. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious. Many of their items are locally sourced and you can taste the difference. The toast was def freshly baked/homemade. The portions were healthy and provided for a hearty meal. This cafe exceeded my expectations for breakfast/brunch. Stopped in for breakfast after 4 days in the backcountry. WOW! Glad we did. The service was great (and service in Colo can be hit or miss) and the food surpassed that. The build your own omelets have the usual ingredients plus some more unusual options (feta cheese anyone?). It's a small place but the outside seating adds a lot more tables. read more

It could be that Bread & Salt was overextended this afternoon, but my husband and I had a very long wait for everything: from drink orders to be taken to the arrival of food. We arrived at 11:50 and my husband finally had to leave at 12:35, with no sign of our lunch. Our pleasant-enough server was happy to bring a to-go box for him once lunch did arrive, but that resulted in my having to have lunch alone and then sit outside and wait for my husband to return. We understand that this happens, but the food was nothing special either. I could have whipped up my grilled cheese at home in 5 minutes: challah slices, a thinnish of mozzarella, and a schmear of pesto. It came with decent tomato-basil soup. It was OK but certainly not $15.95 worth of wonderful, which was the price. My husband had the Monte Cristo, which was cold by the time he was able to get back to pick it up, and also unremarkable (but better the next day for some reason). Neither sandwich came with any sides, except for the tomato soup with the grilled cheese--Just a sandwich on a plate and not much beyond a standard school-lunch grilled cheese sandwich. The grilled cheese was one of only two vegetarian sandwich options; the other was the Peak One Burrito, which might have been a better option. There are more veggie options on the breakfast menu. We had a clear view of the kitchen and food prep area and everyone was working their behind off. This was not seem to be matter of staff not caring. This was perhaps a matter of not enough staff or bad timing. Unfortunately, I do not believe that there will be a next time. read more

I have had Celiac for 15 years and feel it is important to be an advocate / educator. My partner and I ordered the 2 Egg Breakfast which comes with an English muffin. I asked for something to replace the muffin and was told I could have fruit or a corn tortilla but there would be an up charge. The up charge was what you charge for a side order. I said "no but thank you," yet you did not give me credit for the English muffin not served. I looked across at my partner's plate with a toasted English muffin that he buttered and added jam. But no replacement for the muffin you did not serve me. I get so frustrated with restaurants that cannot figure out how to accommodate this allergy. Something so simple as a few berries or banana slices on the plate would have made me feel like you cared and value my business. I'm hoping this will at least cause you to think about this and how you can do better. read more

Service started out slow and I was thinking this was a bad idea. Again, America is shorthanded so I understand. Anytime I asked for something and this was twice I felt like I was bothering. Stopped by this charming little spot on the way back to Denver. We had previously tried a more highly rated breakfast spot in the area which was good, but not great, so we decided to try this place. Now, this is on our list of top spots to eat breakfast in town. We were here on the 4th of July weekend and most of the tables were already taken inside, so we put on our sweaters and sat outdoors. Turns out the patio is a beautiful spot to sit. Covered by a number of aspen trees, there is ample shade to keep cool and comfortable on a sunny day. You also get a great view of Main Street so you can do plenty of people watching throughout your meal. Service was attentive and great. They quickly came to greet us and take our order. Love that all the condiments are already out on the table (no need to pester) - hot sauce, cream, ketchup, salt/pepper, all your coffee sugars, etc. For some reason was quite tickled by the fact that the stack all the butter under an upside-down bowl on those outdoor patio tables. The food was very good. Got the Huevos Rancheros with the green poblano sauce (which the server recommended over the red chipotle sauce). Flavor was tasty, needed a little salt and pepper to kick it up a notch - but since all the condiments were on the table, no embarrassment in seasoning to my preference. Loved the hash browns - those perfectly crispy bits make me SO happy in the morning! Also ordered the Challah French Toast. My husband said that it might have been THE perfect French Toast - great bread, real maple syrup, fresh strawberries. Nothing fancy, but done properly and perfectly, therefore delicious. I overheard the next table over complaining that upgrading to include things like avocado ($3) and real maple syrup was annoying. I beg to differ - at least they give you the option - otherwise, those costs would be built into the meal, but perhaps people just don't like the idea of having to pay extra for anything. Truth be told, those ingredients are particularly expensive and the dishes stand on their own without them, so if you don't want to pay extra, don't! read more

And expect no notification on wait time, just waiting for almost an hour until someone yells your name once. Once seated you will wait another 15 minutes to get greeted by your server. Make sure to put in your order now because you literally will not see them again until your food comes. Food sucked and sent both of us directly to the bathroom 20 mins after our meal (don't worry, we were still at the restaurant waiting for our check). My food was incredibly salty (chipotle pork Benedict). Husband's burrito was filled with raw onions (COOK YOUR FREAKING ONIONS PEOPLE) almost like they just added all the ingredients and set it under the heat lamp for the 30 minutes we waited for our food, ya know, to make the food hot. My Benedict was basically inedible. Salty as can be and soggy English muffins. I did get a side of refried beans that looked like the stuff Nacho Libre served the orphans, but it turned out to be the best thing we ordered. French toast hard as rocks. No lie, this place isn't worth your time, patience or money. Right down the road is Taco Bell. Save money and get your colonic from them instead of bread + salt food poisoning lol. read more

Ten of us we're staying in breckenridge and we're heading back to Denver to catch our flights. We decided to pick a place in Frisco for some brunch! The space isn't large so they split up our group, which we were totally fine with. I was at the table of 6 and our waitress was super friendly and funny! She was attentive and the service was great! The food was wonderful! I had the huevos rancheros - the waitress recommended the green sauce with it, but said I could do half and half to try both. I did the half and half and loved them both! I also tried the avacotini sandwich which was so fresh and delicious! The fresh jalapenos were super spicy, but I just picked them off. The view from the windows was beautiful - the town with the mountains in the back! I'm glad we stopped here on our way back to Denver! Great experience! read more

Solid fare in Frisco! There is an Italian place exactly catercorner to this place that is owned by the same people and shares this same menu as well. So if Bread+Salt is packed head over. That's actually where we ended up eating since the actual B+S location had a wait, so we ordered off of this same menu. Perfect with no wait! Nutella pancakes, breakfast BLT's, bagel with lox, truffled eggs and more...all good and hit the spot. Only downside was the insane amount of cotton fuzzies flying through the air which kept landing in our food and hair! Ha! Inside seating was way too warm and outside was actually better so we had to deal with the airborne fuzzies! read more
