Great American style breakfast and lunch place. We waited just a few minutes for a table in this somewhat small place. It in a strip mall amongst several shops and a few other food choices. Great service, hot coffee refills were endless, server was very attentive. Food was tasty, not extraordinary but solid. I had the Top Brass salad with chicken salad and flatbread chips. The split pea soup had chopped ham and carrots along with a rich ham flavor. The beacon burger looked good that my grandpa had as well. Great prices and again great service. I arrived alone and had a booth for two directly across from the cashier. I sat my self quickly because I was told to sit anywhere I wanted. I was waiting for my son. He arrived 10 minutes later. We ordered an omelette and a skillet. I had a water with lemon and my son had an Arnold Palmer. We asked for the potatoes to be crispy not burnt. As we were waiting we were visited by a roach. My son got up so the worker could deal with the unwanted visitor. We were not given any discount or apology. I was asked politely, How much of a tip I would like to leave on my card. I have been in the service industry and know that the servers need their tips. I politely replied 5 dollars. Paid and left. I will not be revisiting this establishment. read more

TRUMP SUPPORTERS BEWARE! My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for breakfast for years. This morning was probably our last time. They have always been nice, friendly and courteous in the past. This morning he walked in with his Trump cap on and you would think he had some kind of contagious disease. They were very cool when they seated us, when our waitress took our order and when she brought the food. Forget getting refills on coffee. We finally got the attention of a waitress and asked her if we could get some coffee. Five minutes later I saw her tell our waitress we wanted coffee. Our waitress barely glanced in our direction. Five minutes later she came and said do you want more coffee? Needless to say this is our last trip to this location. Such a cute place! As soon as you walk in, you hear very cheerful'Good Morning!' As soon as you sit, they ask for drinks and before even anyone introduces themselves your coffe is on your table! Wait staff is very attentive and always checking on you without being too much. Eggs Benedict was great, hollandaise sauce was very tasty and full of flavors. Skillet was smartly portioned. My family visited this place when we were on vacation checking out my parents new house in Brooksville, FL. We love to find and frequent local restaurants and businesses when we travel. The Breakfast Station is a typical greasy spoon. The restaurant is in a strip mall type plaza and is relatively small. We were seated quickly and the staff was very friendly. Muffins, pastries, fruit cups, and juices aren't made fresh or in-house. I had the "Train Station" which was 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage, 2 bacon, and home fries for $5.75. I added an English muffin. I ordered sausage patties but received sausage links which was not a problem. The sausage had quite a bit of gristle so I didn't eat much of it. The pancakes were a little heavy but still tasty. I ordered the eggs over medium and received just barely over easy eggs, again, not a big problem. In summary: The meal was just... ok. It was nothing to write home about. Next time we're in Brooksville we likely won't go back, not because there was anything glaringly wrong but because it just wasn't worth the time. There are a few great local breakfast restaurants and coffee places with good, fresh, and locally made food in the Brooksville area. Next time we visit the area, which will be fairly often now that my parents have a house there, we'll just head to those places and skip The Breakfast Station in Brooksville. read more

I've been to every breakfast place in Brooksville, and a few in Spring Hil. I like this place the best. We had a group of 8 and with a bit of table shuffling we all sat together. Everyone liked what they had, I had the eggs benedict. Menu said hollandaise sauce but it tasted like a slightly salty cheese goo. It was still great but it wasn't like any hollandaise I've ever had. The waitress did a great job and the food arrived, all at once, within a reasonable time. I learned that this place was a chain. I had thought the name and the train on the menus came from the old coin-operated train ride that used to sit in front of Zayre (now Winn Dixie). I like my origin story better. read more

I've eaten breakfast at this particular Breakfast Station twice since moving to Brooksville. The staff is very friendly and checks up on the coffee quite frequently. The place is always busy. The menu includes very interesting items like cinnamon crumble and Captain Crunch French toasts and their waffles are light and fluffy. They are very happy to cook omelettes and hash browns to order, such as their vegetable omelette was listed with certain vegetables, but were happy to add others a minimal markup and they would make me a custom hash with veggies, similar to how Waffle House does theirs. The staff does seem to feel rushed as if they need to be certain every customer waiting outside is served before lunchtime and no one walks away. This place was gross. Their food wasn't good and there was a roach on the wall and honestly made me not want to eat my food. If there are other people saying they saw roaches I can't chalk it up to just one snuck in. The potatoes in my skillet weren't cooked, the high chair was sticky and gross. One thing I want to say is this place must have amazing training and management because everyone that works here are very pleasant and on their game. They work together, they greet each customer and the service is fast. You won't wait long because the place is organized. Clean & bright restaurant. Staff greeted us upon arrival, very friendly and attentive. I had Denver and my wife had Meatlovers omelette. Food arrived in average time, but only warm. My Denver was undercooked and I should have sent it back, but was starved. Hers was cooked ok and tasted average. I almost always order Eggs Benedict when I try a new place if it's on the menu. It's something I don't make at home and it tells me a lot about the restaurant. The menu said Canadian bacon but the Benedict came out with Ham instead - what?!? Although the flavor was good, the sauce was a bit thicker than my liking and there was WAY too much of it. Not sure if they were trying to hide the ham. I wouldn't order this again. The potatoes were good and our service was fast & friendly. I have to say it was the most mediocre food that I've had in a long time. This reminds me of the sort of place you take your in-laws too. Although I have to say the service and the waitresses were exceptionally welcoming that is the one redeeming value that makes this place three stars. I had the country fried steak and eggs. I ordered by eggs sunny side up, although the whites were still runny. The fried steak itself was nothing exceptional you could easily tell that it was frozen. I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy with sausage bits. The biscuits had absolutely no flavor of themselves but just powdery and light almost like Wonder Bread. The gravy with the sausage bits was obviously out of the can, the sausage was extremely dry had no flavor either. The corned beef hash was also out of a can, it reminded me of something I had while I was in the army, the flavor being extremely sour from the preservatives. Yes, I am being critical the food it was not that good. The one good thing or I should say the three good things about this place is it is clean, it has good waitresses, and the aesthetics and the look of the restaurant is very nice. read more
