Rue is super patient and knowledgeable. I explained to her all my concerns and what I've tried and she guided me to my best options. I am still trying some od her advices but I am very pleased with our meeting. You can also meet online because of the Pandemic. I just think that your first appointment should be in person so she can take a real look to baby's latch, positions, etc. She is very busy so plan ahead. I know it could be impossible with a baby and with turning of events, but try your best so you can resolve any issue fast :) The meeting will be very private. You feel like all the attention is focused on you Bring all your stuff so she can take a look to it too.

Rue and Maria gave us all the information and support we needed to feel in control. The team guided us before, during, and after delivery, answering all sorts of questions my husband and I had. If this is your first baby or felt like prior labor experiences could've been better, I highly recommend setting up a consultation and you'll see how they take care of you from the start.

I've been visiting this dental office for two years, even planning trips from Georgia to Texas…read morearound appointments because of the exceptional care. Now that we're settled in Texas, I'm thrilled to make this our regular provider. Dr. Schwed has been outstanding in managing my daughter's enamel hypoplasia with preventive treatments, ensuring no complications arise. The quality of care here is unmatched! Dr. Schwed was even able to provide advice outside of his dental practice.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Schwed to any of my friends and family. We originally came to him because our youngest was tongue tied. He gave the best educational advice and we actually learned a lot during the process as well. A year and a half later, we are now in the process of moving our oldest child over to Dr. Schwed as well. I live in Allen but there is no hesitation for me to make the drive every time my children need to go to the dentist. Where most dentists would actually just look at a baby's teeth with no cleaning because they're fussy - Dr. Schwed finds ways to earn your kids' trust and get the cleaning done. If is one main characteristic that stands out compared to the many dentists that we see - it is PASSION - and that is why we choose to come here! (1/26/24 Update:) - We've moved my oldest daughter Madison over to Schwed Dentistry today for her 1st visit. I was extremely impressed at how patient and engaged they were with her. Bre and Kait were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! and my little one had a blast! I have NEVER SEEN anyone so patient with her and Dr. Schwed's office succeeded where 2 other dental offices have failed her in the past. They were able to take all the xray pictures they need of her teeth successfully and also cleaned all her teeth successfully in the 1st visit. No other dental offices before has been successful in accomplishing just her x-ray pictures in the past. My wife is also happy and this was one of the best decisions we've made for our family. Thank you so much guys. We're here to stay!

Britany was an incredibly kind, knowledgeable, dedicated, loving and compassionate doula and friend…read moreto me and my husband during our pregnancy and the birth of our son, Luca. I am forever grateful for her because of the peace she brought me during my journey into motherhood. She would consistently checkup up on me, asking about my health and wellbeing. She was a wealth of knowledge pertaining to evidence based information on pregnancy, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and postpartum care. I am so thankful for her knowledge and care during those very painful first few weeks of breastfeeding, I really don't think Luca and I would have been as successful without her! I completely underestimated what role she would play during my labor, she was vital to my mental state through the whole thing. When I was ready to give up around every corner, she was there to remind me of my strength and that what I was going through was normal and the pain was only temporary. Something I appreciated most were the scriptures she read to me that lifted my spirit and helped bring joy to my pain. After 30 hours of labor I was exhausted physically and mentally, and she said a prayer over us that brought tears to my eyes and renewed my strength. She knew when to crack a joke to make me laugh, when to reassure me with words of affirmation, and when to just be silent and comfort me with her presence...I call that a great friend! She also made sure I was always taking little sips of water or nibbles of food. She was always 10 steps ahead of me and my discomfort. Her postpartum visits were everything! Just having someone come over to check on my husband and me, mentally and physically, meant the world. When the rest of the world couldn't wait to hold the baby, she was there to hold my hand and tell me that everything was going to be okay. I actually cried at our last visit because I had grown so attached to her! I like to think it wasn't just the hormones talking! I can't forget to mention that this amazing woman spent 16 hours giving me counter pressure on my hips with EVERY contraction! Talk about arm strength! you will not regret having her apart of your birth team! Britany, I can't say enough good things about you! I am so grateful for you and will never forget what you did for us! THANK YOU! *big hug* P.s. I am in love with the pictures you took during our labor and birth, they are priceless!

She noticed as soon as I stopped coping with contractions as well and was always there to change positions, provide hip squeezes, or give another idea or encouragement. She fanned me with a paper fan with peppermint oil on it when I was nauseous and helped give me guidance when I was in doubt. She was there for us before, during, and after our birth. She also took some wonderful pictures throughout our labor (many more than I posted because many are personal). I was a little unsure about hiring a doula initially and now I couldn't imagine going through labor without her. We will definitely be hiring her for any future births.

She did not communicate to my husband not to change my son's diaper after she weighed my son and then became frustrated with my husband once she learned he had changed the diaper after the weigh-in. How were we supposed to know?! She gave us no indication of what she was doing and why. She grabbed my breast without asking permission. An appointment with a lacatation consultant doesn't automatically give you the right to grab me; please ask permission first or give a lady some heads up as to what you're going to do and why. Cleo was very disparaging about my son's circumstances and literally told me before she left "good luck, you're going to need it". WOW, way to kick me in my already ripped up and sore crotch. As a medical professional, its just as important to provide your patients with compassion as it is to provide them with your medical expertise. A mother reaching out for help from a consultant, is a mother coming from a place of need, understanding and guidance. Be gentle with us.

WE LOVE T'ARAH!!! My husband and I decided at 36 weeks pregnant that it would be the best choice…read morefor us to add a doula to our birth team for reasons of wanting advocacy, mental and physical support for both of us. We contacted several Doulas that we had found by researching online and received a response from T'Arah at Mother Bear Doula Services within hours. T'Arah promptly answered our initial questions and we ended up scheduling to meet in person to talk more in depth about our expectations, wishes, past experiences, etc.. Soon after arriving at the coffee shop, just myself with my toddler in tow, we ordered some drinks and snacks and settled at a table to get to know each other. Of course it wasn't long before my son became antsy and distracted; but Tarah immediately came to the rescue, pulling coloring supplies out of her bag and playing Paw Patrol on her phone for him to watch. I had barely met her and she was already such a great help to me! ;) I felt an instant comfortability with T'Arah; I was totally comfortable with going into detail of my previous birth, which had been a traumatic experience, and could sense that she was sincerely invested in mine and my husband's concerns, wishes and preferences.. She listened, asked questions, provided advice and input and acknowledged my feelings. We shared personal stories and got to know each other more in depth than just birth related topics. More than interviewing her to be our Doula, I felt like I had just made a friend who helped me to feel excited and empowered to give birth! A few short weeks later, and after meeting with T'Arah a few more times as well as going to the hospital tour together, it was time to have our baby! I had hoped and dreamed that this birth would progress naturally, without induction, but when the time came, there were reasons for my husband and myself to ultimately decide that induction would be the safest course of action for getting our baby out as soon as we could. I was initially heartbroken and scared, but Tarah was there every step of the way, going out of her way to teach us natural labor inducing techniques which did actually help tremendously, as well as staying available to text or call for anything we needed. When the time came to be induced and start our Childbirth journey, T'Arah was present and alert, providing all the support we both needed from walking, getting snacks/drinks, talking, joking, massaging, physically holding me up, counseling, calming, etc.. in spite of being induced, T'Arah encouraged us in taking every step we could to have a birth that we truly wanted, and I succeeded in taking it one step at a time to have the natural birth I had wished for without further intervention. T'Arah played a key role in helping me have a birth experience that I am proud of and I will always be grateful to her for that. We will definitely have T'Arah as our Doula for any future babies!
