Cute little space. We were greeted after a few minutes. The blue and yellow decor remind me of having limoncello in Italy. We came towards the end of the day a little after 5pm so unfortunately, we couldn't have a tasting which was a bummer. We did have one glass of their sparkling Moscato, which was good. We wanted cheeseboard, but they were also out of that so we had a brie with fig jam and some crackers and chips, which was nice! Omg this place is beautiful! My family found this place by chance while looking on Apple Maps to see what was in Healdsburg today. I was looking for somewhere we could do a little wine tasting even though we had my young daughter with us. It's a woman owned place with a female winemaker, which I thought was awesome! It wasn't very busy luckily when we showed up, since we didn't have a reservation. We were greeted warmly anyway and seated on the patio. We did the classic flight at the suggestion of the sommelier since it's our first time. We tried ordering a charcuterie plate but they were out, which would have been fine, but they graciously offered to make a little cheese and jam plate with crackers on the house. It was really sweet. They also had Gluten free crackers which was great because my MIL has celiac. While all the wines were good, my favorite was the second one we tried, the blanc de noirs. A couple of use ordered glasses of Moscato after the tasting. The moscato was interesting, in a good way, but it was definitely different, not as sweet as most moscatos and a little musky. My mother in law joined the wine club, so the tasting was free. Overall it was a great experience and we hope to be back. read more

What a fun place! The tasting room is in a more industrial part of Healdsburg but they really made it feel like you're in a special garden! We had a delightful experience from beginning to end. Outdoor tables were thoughtfully arranged with beautiful tabletop settings beneath warming heat lamps. The paella was FANTASTIC, with generous portions served along with a delicious garlic pesto rustic bread spread and salad. Service was excellent with multiple champagne pours between hors d'oeuvres. Dessert was capped with one of their finest aged champagnes! The flamenco team was great, though keeping in mind that Flamenco is a sensual dance, full of power and allure, the dancer (and her clothes) did not seem to fit the authenticity profile one might imagine. I stopped by here as a party of 4 with no reservation on Saturday around 11am. Yes - we were those people! Lucky for us, the winery had a table available. We tried a variety of wines, which we all felt were fairly priced. Our wine associate was incredibly knowledgeable about not only the wines they sold, but the production side of it as well. On each visit here I have thoroughly enjoyed the tasting experience. We had a booking for a tasting & charcuterie board- both were wonderful. Our wine educator was Evelina and she was super knowledgeable as well as personable. Because it was raining, we first were seated inside, which was nice, but when the sun came out we moved outdoors to the bubble and absolutely loved being in it. I loved my experience at Breathless! It wasn't super busy when I was there so the ambiance was quite peaceful outside. The staff was really considerate and accommodating to our needs and the sparkling flight (4 pours total) that I had was great! Even better because I went on a Monday and they have a bogo discount on that day of the week. Breathless left us breathless for all of the wrong reasons. Terrible service with mediocre wines that are vastly overpriced. This review is actually loooong overdue but still very warranted. Came here with a friend last year for a tasting as we'd both heard great things about this place from multiple people. Breathless requires you to pay in advance by making a reservation through Tock. It's $20 per person for a tasting plus tax. I made reservations for us a couple weeks in advance. Their tasting room is actually located in a warehouse a couple blocks from Downtown Healdsburg. I have nothing against warehouse tasting rooms, but for them to be requiring $20 upfront for this "warehouse" experience is absolutely absurd. We arrived on time for our tasting and waited at the podium until the owner greeted us. She sat us and told us that she'd be with us momentarily. Minutes go by, and she's still nowhere to be found. A couple gets sat behind us and they receive service from another sommelier right away. That same sommelier *passes us several times with no acknowledgment*. What's wrong with this picture? We finally see the owner and realize that she's tending to a different party. I mean, wtf?! Finally, the other sommelier comes to our table and asks us if we've been helped as we sit there with no glasses of wine or even a wine menu on our table. We tell her that we're waiting for the owner to come to our table. She then chats with the owner and then comes backs to tell us that she'll be helping us. Wow, great way to pawn us off on someone else! She could have at least done a warm transfer. Very unprofessional. We're still waiting for your our wine glasses at this point. A few minutes later, the lady comes back and pours us some sparkling. Literally just pours it and tells us the name. No details or anything. Mind you, we're still sitting there without a wine menu so we don't even know wtf we're drinking. The pour was super tiny, so we finish it pretty quickly. Again, nobody is around to give us our next wine pour. We see the lady assisting the couple behind us. She gives them chips and they're looking at a menu. She comes flying past us and we stop her and tell her that we're ready for our next pour. She comes back and pours our next wine. We ask her if we can have a tasting menu and chips as well. "Oh I didn't, give you a menu?!". *Crickets*. Well, do you see anything other than wine glasses on the f*cking table?! Again, minutes go by before she comes back to our table. She brings the chips. Do you know that this fool gave us ONE bag of chips? Like one small Individual sized bag. We were so through. At this point, we're ready to just get this tasting over with. She pours the wine and again, the pour is super tiny. We remind her that we still need a tasting menu. She finally comes back with the tasting menu on our 4th and final wine pour. After looking at the menu, we realized that we had a choice of what tasting that we could have chosen. This broad never even ASKED us which tasting that we wanted from the start, and we still had no idea what the hell she had been pouring us. We're really pissed at this point, but it's the end of the tasting. Do you know that homegirl NEVER came back to our table?! Never came back. We literally waited there out of courtesy. I mean, what if we actually wanted to BUY something?! She was too busy chatting it up with some other table. We literally just got up and left! Like wtf! Rude, unprofessional, and completely dismissive. And for the record, the place WASN'T that busy and the wines were mediocre at BEST! How dare these people charge $20 for this sh*tty experience! This is going down as one of the worst wine tasting experiences in my wine tasting history. I will NEVER spend a dime on this place ever again. read more

Everything about Breathless is amazing! For me, it keeps my best friend in my fondest memories- we enjoyed our bubbles together at her many member pick ups and in her home where she got me, and many of her "wino" friends hooked on the sisters and their juices of the Gods (Goddesses actually)! Together, we were quite picky about our drinks and old and wise enough to know "drinking bad wine- is unacceptable!" Had a lovely tasting yesterday at Breathless with my 2 girlfriends. Weird day - we arrived at 3pm and got the place to ourselves. Kirby was our host. Tucked into an industrial park far from the healdsburg square, Breathless is an oasis from the hustle. First off, the sparkling wines are delicious...:I especially love the Robledo vineyards however the late disgorged and the rose are quite nice as well. Their classic blanc de blancs is very fine as well. They offer some snack options include caviar. All super tasty. The exterior space is very bucolic even though it's next to a parking lot. Feels like wine country. The interior is charming and French inspired ....dont miss the gift shop. Some real finds there...the service is amazing and they really do a nice job tasting. My favorite part of this winery was the super delicious Caviar Picnic. I highly recommend getting it if you love caviar! The mix of sparkling wine, crème fraîche, caviar, and potato chips was so complimentary and stunning. The sparkling wine in our tasting was very good!! I will def be back for another Caviar Picnic in the very near future! Maybe my birthday? This winery has a heartwarming backstory where three sisters founded it in honor of their mother. Please check out their story on their own website, as I won't be able to do it justice. It's lovely that these sisters found something together in honor of their mother's memory. I also got to meet two of the three sisters and they were all very friendly and helpful! ​ We were lucky enough to have nearly the entire winery to ourselves most of the time we were there on this sunny Sunday. I ended up buying the cutest champagne flutes and a super cute shirt that says "I only drink champagne on two occasions. When I am in love and when I am not." My husband and I joined the Breathless Wines club two years ago, and It's been a great experience. First the champagne is excellent, light but flavorful, just the right amount of bubbles. I love the choices we made to drink. But it's the friendliness of the sisters Team that makes Breathless so special. From excellent customer service to just saying hello in the parking lot, this is one of the nicest wine families yet. Tastings are always a fun way to spend an afternoon too in the lovely sunlit patio. We ended our membership recently but I'll definitely be coming back to Breathless Wines frequently. read more

What a wonderful experience! We booked a noon visit and were there about two hours. We loved every minute, and would have stayed longer if we didn't have other plans. First, of course, sparkling wine focus makes this a gem in downtown Healdsburg. But, the wines themselves were so delicious, even if we'd had 20 sparkling wine options, I'd pick this one every time. The Brut magnum will be our Christmas bubbly for sure. Second, snacks were a surprise and delight. We did potato chips and then caviar with .... more potato chips. YUM. The perfect friend to our many wines. We saw some lovely cheese boards pass by, and if we weren't headed to Journeyman after we'd have gotten one of those too! Third, ok, we did the saborage experience. I got to wear the gloves, use the sabor, and if I do say so myself, crushed my lesson and delivered a flawlessly sabored Brut we than sat and drank in a lovely little space. Fourth, the space is great, just two blocks off downtown. Little garden in the midst of some more industrial space. Lots of space between tables, two cute cabanas we'd totally book with a larger group (was just us two), and a great little store for cute gifts. Fifth, lovely COVID protocols. Masks. Whole staff is vaccinated and it's shared on a welcome board. Clean, safe, spacious bathrooms. Couldn't feel safer. Sixth, great business story. Women owned. Family owned. Woman vintner. Love supporting them all. Lastly, and for sure saved the best for last - the most warm, earnest, and special staff and service. The staff is all attentive and helpful. There's no pretentiousness, none of some of the self importance of tasting experiences in the region, and a warmth and openness (not to mention knowledge), that made us want to have Ethan join us for a drink if he weren't so busy making everyone's experiences lovely. We learned. We had many jokes. We just had fun. Pure. Simple. Fun. We joined with a membership and will never miss a chance to come back. Well done to everyone at Breathless. I'm breathless about my experience at Breathless Wines in Healdsburg! A hidden little gem not among the tony wine tasting rooms and restaurant but among the wine production warehouses that Breathless Wines exists. With a beautiful courtyard with trees and plenty of sunbrellas providing shade for customers and two remodeled shipping containers serving as their tasting room, a visit to Breathless is worth it, just to see how effectively they utilize their space. Created by three sisters, using the traditional French method for creaking sparkling wine, called Methode Champenoise, Breathless has been creating wines for almost ten years now but they just moved into their home two years ago. On a sunny Sunday afternoon, there wasn't many places to sit outside, so we decided to cozy up in their shipping container/ tasting room with their multitude of banquettes and small round tables that were perfect for sipping. We went with the Tasting Flight which featured three pours of their signature sparkling wines, which was accentuated by the small coriander of complimentary salty potato chips that every party gets upon sitting down. We started with their Blanc de Noirs, which is their traditional white sparkling wine made of North Coast Pinot Noit fruit, and tasting not too overly sweet on the palette. Our second pour was their Brut, which was a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier, with flavors of pineapple and mango, it has a much sweeter taste than the Blanc de Noirs. Our third pour was their Brut Rose, which was similar to the Brut, but a blend of local grapes in Sonoma County, but a little more elegant on the nose and creamier to the taste which resembled a strawberry creamsicle. Our tasting room associate, Natalie was so nice, that she presented us with a fourth pour, their Moscato, which was created with Muscat Canelli grapes and dry to the taste, and Natalie recommended it would pair perfectly with a fall pie or anything with cinnamon. Breathless is a great venue with some amazing sparkling wines. The $16 tasting fee is really affordable, as are the wines by the glass for $12. They just began serving authentic homemade Italian pizza thanks to their new oven out there on their patio, which they sell for the very reasonable price of $10 a pie! I can't wait to return for a slice, and to try their tasting and tour of their production facility for $30 a person or a Sabrage tasting where they open your bottle with a authentic sword. What will they think of next? At Breathless the possibilities are endless. read more

Loooooove this place. Staff were so friendly and I loved the whole story behind the name of the winery. It's very chill and laid back and they actually offer you a small bag of chips that actually pairs really well with the wine selection. We ended up taking home a few bottles. After several afternoons of big Sonoma reds, it was a wonderful and refreshing experience to taste five sparkling wines from Breathless, in Healdsburg. All the sparklers we tasted--Brut, Blanc de Noirs, Sparkling Rosé, a Sparkling Rosé for club members only (delicious but boo!), and a Moscato which is dry, complex, and unlike any Moscato I have ever tasted. Unlike many sparkling wines from California (or the U.S. in general), the wines we tasted were all representative of their fruit and clean and crisp. Potato chips were the perfect pairing for the sparkling wines. Our server was great with explanations about the wines and the history of the company. Created to extract the very best flavors and they will compliment almost any food pairing. This is not cheap champagne- these are finely crafted works of culinary art.
