The worst major air carrier in the us and possibly the world! I've never been treated so bad. Had so many delays. Flights that left hours after us made it to the same destination before we did. We were not a priority. We can start by the fact that they had a broken door for 2 days and thought it would be fixed as flight attendants stated the dangers of it. Should have just been a new plane and that should have been fully fixed. The pilot even stated that he almost said no but they assured him it would be functioning. Major blunder on American Airlines. Flight scheduled to leave at 7:37 am. And didn't leave till after 12 pm. All while knowing and didn't inform anyone prior to their arrival. They forced us to spend money in their airports and be the cheap airliner you would expect that changed you for a carry on. But no, this is "AMERICAN". Such a joke. They gave a $12 voucher for food at the airport "only in Miami" and good for only one day. and no alcohol. So what does that do? Makes us spend more money cause we are starving due to their negligence. So they pushed more money out of us all the while making us delayed for other flights, family obligations, jobs and work, etc. with zero care for their client. This is just today. You will be seeing the other negligence in making us wait on a tarmac for 3 hours with no ac on the next review. This company is bad and isn't trying to be better. They care more about dollars than you in the seats. Remember that the next time you choose an air carrier. Don't CHOOSE American. Zero zero positive for anyone to choose them.

On this day, I made an in-and-out trip to St. Louis in one day. I woke up at 3 AM and headed to the airport around 4 AM for a 6 AM flight. Traffic on I-75 was interesting. Down to one lane for construction, and you must go slowly for workers' safety. The plane left on time and arrived on time. The return flight YIKES! I was scheduled for a 7:40 return flight. Then it started. Flight delays 8:47, 9:17, 9:52, 10:10, 10:16, 10:25. I arrived 2 hours early, so I was sitting in the airport for 5 hours. Then we received a gate change. We went from one end of the concours to the opposite end--a fine stretch of the legs. I only asked the desk one question: "Will the crew time out?" I was assured they would not. On the plane, we found out they had multiple issues they had to overcome. First, all the people on the plane who were going to miss their connections in St. Louis. They have to get them off the plane AND get their luggage. Very time-consuming. Yet their problems kept going. The plane had a flat tire and needed to be replaced, and all the paperwork and safety checks took longer. This was after they deplaned the passengers. I was not in a bad mood. I was a little upset, but when I heard the woes of the plane, I just chalked it up to oh well, I am retired. When I walked into the home, I had been up for 24 hours. I felt every bit of my age. P.S. The original delay was weather-related.

The staff member, Marvin, was dismissive and unhelpful: 1) He blocked another staffer who offered to assist us using her passport details. 2) He ignored our explanation that her ticket was booked as "Nurmalia Nurmalia" (a common workaround for single‑name travelers) and that U.S. immigration often uses "FNU" ("First Name Unknown"). His colleague later confirmed the FNU practice, but Marvin refused our explanation. He treated us like we had never flown before. My wife has flown many times both domestically in the U.S. and internationally, and has never had an issue with how she books her flight tickets. 3) Despite our calm, polite behavior, he ended the interaction by saying we should just fly with another airline, even though we already had the ticket. His behavior cost us over $1,200, and felt culturally insensitive and unprofessional. We strongly urge JetBlue to review Marvin's conduct and consider whether he should remain a front‑line representative. If you're an international traveler with a single name, be cautious, JetBlue's system and staff may not be prepared to support your situation.

That said, John and the crew were outstanding: friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. At the Key West ticket counter, I encountered a similar issue with one staff member who was dismissive when I asked a simple question (gray hair W/ pony tail) -- her own colleague acknowledged it was uncalled for. Key West Express has a strong business model and a lot to offer. Frontline staff are the face of that brand, and a few negative interactions can significantly undermine the customer experience you've worked hard to build. I'd encourage leadership to address this directly, as it's worth protecting what you have. Overall, I would take the Key West Express again for the experience and a 3hrs vs 6hr drive any day - just get dedicated employees! Lastly, I really don't understand why they have such a late departure out of Key West back to Ft Myers -- hotel check out is usually 11am ‍..... what are passengers suppose to do w/ their luggage -- beside leaving it at the hotel....

Staff was literally helping escort patrons to either the bathroom or areas on the boat that may have had a "smoother ride". For those of us who tried to sleep through the rough ride, a completely belligerent loud patron spent the entire ride screaming his conversation for the entire boat to hear. I'm surprised the bartender never cut him off, this is a huge safety hazard. Again, no wifi available so we all had to suffer through the rough seas, disrespectful patrons and at the end of the ride it still took us closer to 5 hours to arrive from point-to-point.

In addition, there are employees positioned throughout the airport, asking what airline you're looking for and if you're tsa precheck or not. These employees were assisting people to their concourse, as they have four (A, B, C, and D). There are escalators and elevators for those who need them. I found multiple trash cans and recycle bins in the airport. There was a water waste collector right before security that I used to dump My water. The bathrooms in the airport have many stalls and were clean and spacious. The gate areas can get crowded I waited two gates away from my gate because it was a little too busy for my taste. The restaurants were open as early as 6:30am. There is no delta lounge, unfortunately. I did not have enough time to visit any of the restaurants or shops. People in the airport are friendly. I dropped something and the people behind me hollered and helped me recover my item. I saw this happening routinely through the airport- another lady dropped her jacket and someone returned it, etc. Very nice people here, honest. TSA agents were kind and efficient. This is an easy airport to catch a flight. I can't speak for parking- I returned a rental car. There's not much nearby the airport, but a few convenient stores about 2 miles away. It's a small airport, which says it's international- I wonder where they go?

Between the airport and United, I wouldn't go out of my way to fly out of here again. United premier checkin had one couple in front of me that took over 15 min. So may issues- over weight bags, bought the wrong kind of ticket, etc. only one person for premier and one person I. Regular checkin. Going through pre-check, young kids took long. Wheel chairs going ahead, etc. Got to gate c and only 1 place to sit for food and drinks. Line so long and no chance to to sit and eat. Got upgraded, raised my hand and walked to counter but layout is such that I couldn't get through the people. Lost the upgrade. She just gave it away immediately. Not a fan of this airport for United. Suggest bringing own food and hovering upfront with everyone else no matter what.
