I hired Pete to repair two areas of my Berber carpet that were eaten by my vacuum and had runs in the carpet. I also needed a carpet stretched and tacked back down after pulling it up to fix a subfloor squeak. Pete did an terrific job and I cannot even tell where the carpets were patched. Pete is THE BEST. I have fairly new carpet that was installed by Home Depot and wrinkled in a year or so time. Being a realtor, I realized that this was probably due to a bad install. Rather than dingy around with them and having amateur hour installers ( they initially mis-measured and ordered way too little carpet & pad), I looked on YELP and found Breeze Carpet Repair. Pete asked me to text him photos, gave me a phone estimate that he said was ballpark, and could vary when he saw the job in person. He said his visit would be no obligation, and if I wasn't happy with the in person estimate, he would be on his way. When he came, I noticed a third area that was beginning to buckle and Pete noticed a 4th area that was a tad loose. He kept his fee to the original estimate for stretching the carpet to remove the two big wrinkles and fixed the other 2 smaller areas at no additional charges. Pete helped disconnect the large section recliner couch and move it so he could get behind to stretch. There is no need to post AFTER pictures - because the carpet is just perfectly flat. The job took almost 3 hours. Pete worked steadily, and wore his mask. I cant say enough good things about his responsiveness, punctuality ( texted when on his way) and skill. Pete did an excellent job replacing parts of our pet-damaged wall-to-wall carpeting at a reasonable price, within the estimate he offered via texts before starting the job. My husband and I don't have pets but our grown daughters do and the puppies did their business upstairs on our relatively new taupe carpeting. Grrr. The problem was compounded by my using a Woolite pet stain remover product that seemed to clean but then bright orange spots emerged over time in those patches. Then of course I made it worse by using fabric paint to try to cover the orange spots. Pete identified the problems of chemical bleaching, offered suggestions on repairs and then resolved the problem by using new large hallway-wide patches of carpet remnants we fortunately had from our builder three years ago.
