Oh my GOD! Can I say AMAZING! I have been seen by Dr. Thota for the last couple of years when she was working in a dental office in Livermore. When I found out that she was opening her own practice I knew it was worth waiting for. I recently flew from NY to CA to see Dr. Thota for my regular cleaning and check up. As soon as I walked into her new office I was blown away. The staff is very kind they cater to what you need and will do their best to make your visit a memorable one. They have a "Spa Room" I mean who else does that?! :) any movie of your choice on your own personal TV while they're working on you AND a slight massage at the same time! Wow I have been impressed. My wife has been visiting Dr. Thota since last 5 years. DENTAL SERVICE: 7/10: Dr. Thota's service has been ok. She is professional and has good bedside manners. She has been rendering service and preventive maintenance that my wife visited her for without any problems. BILLING: 0/10 Billing irregularities is one thing that we consistently experienced with her office. A revolving door of her office staff and billing errors where they made mistakes and did not bill correctly and then sent a bill that was years old (generally doesn't happen with dentists). EXPLANATION OF ANTICIPATED CHARGES: 0/10 Our experience with them about explaining to us what to expect has been consistently bad. We have PPO and have standard maintenance visits which are covered by our insurance with zero co-pay. But surprise! surprise! We STILL manage to have outstanding bill amount without itemized breakdown of what we were charged for. When we asked for the itemized bill, all we got was a vague explanation over the phone. Overall, for us, service is important, but billing is equally important. So, we are done with going to Breeze Dental for our dental needs. read more

I am in my late 20's and have put off going to the dentist for over five years and was nervous to get worked on. Dr. Thota and her hygienist Jennifer was very compassionate, gentle and helpful. They both made me feel at ease and reassured me that they would just help me get my smile to where I wanted. Very good care, great personal touch, skilful work and that extra effort. If you're looking for a family dental practice who will really look after you AND do top quality work very affordably, then look no further than Breeze Dental, Dr Thota and her staff. Dr Thota has just done a crown and several fillings for me and I have never had better fitting work done so quickly! She even managed reduce an annoying gap between molars that my previous dentists (both very good!) in Australia hadn't been able to do. Dr Thota pays a lot of attention to details so that when she does a filling or crown, she makes it fit really well, really quickly. Breeze is a small practice so you don't feel like you are just another client. They are also great at finding appointments that suit your schedule without making you wait for days or weeks. I had a problem tooth- that Dr. Thota helped me with- & by careful evaluation and discussion she made a referral to a specialist. When I didn't want to go the surgery route w/ specialist- Dr. Thota re-evaluated and provided me w/ alternative approach- a new crown. That has worked beautifully! She is a thoughtful, efficient and skilled technician. I appreciate that she worked with me, listened to me, to solve my problem and am always happy to see her and her staff. My wife and I drive 40 miles just to see Dr. Thota, even though we live in a city with many dentists all around. After trying out several in our area, we chose Dr. Thota. There's something to be said about a personable, helpful dentist who keeps your teeth clean without feeling like someone is trying to tear your gums apart. The office is well-equipped too. Computer screens placed above you while you're lying down let you watch movies while the doctor does her thing. Then there are the massage chairs too! I can honestly say that from that time to the present I have been very impressed with the following: 1. Dr. Thoda is the best! She DID what no other dentist was able to do. During the last seven years I suddenly found that I was unable to stay numb longer than five minutes, during dental procedures. On one particular dental visit four years ago, I was given approximately 10 injections, since the numbness simply wouldn't last. The result led to serious health issues. After that one visit I didn't want to ever see a dentist again. Which turned out exactly what happened, since that dentist dropped me, and no other dentist would even try to work on me. Normally if someone gets a cavity, it's a simple procedure, one injection and you're done, but not for me. Even the dental clinic at UCSF told me I would have to go under a general anesthetic to have any dental work done. THEN my daughter found Dr. Ganga Thota, and urged me to make an appointment. Just the thought of going to the dentist gave me nightmares. I am a former dental assistant, and having dental procedures done on myself used to be a piece of cake. But now. I found myself in terror at the thought of having a simple cavity filled. Ultimately my daughter convinced me, and I went in for a routine cleaning. Dr. Thota said she was very confident that she would be able to numb me with only one injection. Well after so many years of suffering, you can see that I was very doubtful. But for some reason I decided to take a leap of faith with Dr. Thota. Although I only had one procedure left to be done, I was expecting a minimum of 3 injections, since that was my experience with past dental work. Dr. Thota told me that she would start by giving me only one injection, and felt she could complete the procedure with that. However, if she found that I needed more than one, she would simply put a temporary on the tooth, and I would have to consider going under a general anesthetic to have it completed. Which I was totally happy to hear, since I did not want to be over medicated again. I am thrilled to say that Dr. Thota did what other dentists could not, and even more amazing, it was all done with only one injection! I'm not sure how long the procedure lasted, but my guess would be about 30 minutes. Not only was I numb for the actual procedure, but I actually was numb for about an hour after that. In fact, Dr. Thota told me that she didn't even use an entire injection, just a partial one. I know this is a lengthy review, but believe it or not, I shortened it from the original one. So for all of you out there, who might be facing the same problem I had, fear of dentists, and injections that don't work, fear no more, and make an appointment with Dr. Thota. You will feel as if you experienced a miracle in your life, I KNOW I DID! I realize some of you may feel this last line is a bit much, BUT I truly did feel that my prayers were answered. Amazing, my fiancé and I just scrambled to find a dentist that could take us before our wedding. With every intention of researching options in more depth after the big day. We were both so impressed with our experience for a cleaning and custom take home whitening kit.....we have found our Dentist! The staff was so friendly and created a very calm environment. Office is very clean and modern. First Dr. to ever explain in depth her exam. When Yelp! states that 5 stars means "Woohoo! As good as it gets!", it's no exaggeration when it comes to Dr. Thota and her office manager, Elissa. I'm new to the East Bay, and my teeth are usually in stellar condition--so, of course, this time they find FOUR cavities! (And no, they weren't trying to railroad me as I had just been to another dental office a few days earlier and they told me I had 2 cavities [I just wasn't comfortable with this other dentist]). My PCP recommended Dr. Thota. Elissa, the office manager, is just lovely. She's the first one I spoke with, and she's the one who sold me. I'm not going to elaborate, but let's just say she and the doctor were about as accommodating as they could possibly be--in every way. Elissa is professional, caring, bright, and well-spoken. The office is ultra-modern and in a really nice business park with plenty of parking. I'm afraid of needles, and my ears are so sensitive that the high pitch of a dental drill makes me wince in horrible pain. Well, Dr. Thota showed me the X-rays, explained everything thoroughly to me, and, miraculously, had a way of administering novocaine without ANY pain (and I'm not talking about the topical, either). And she used the minimal amount so that it wore off shortly after the procedures were done as opposed to the usual 2-3 hours of my tongue feeling like a mylar balloon crammed inside my mouth. Dr. Thota knew how to handle my "discomforts" better than any dentist I've seen previously. Plus, they have Netflix, which helps to distract from the business at hand. I needed to go back 3 times for the fillings because although I wanted to get them done in one office visit, Dr. Thota insisted on multiple sessions because she thought the pain from the drill's pitch was too stressful for me to handle more than 1 cavity at a time (2 of them were side-by-side)--and she was absolutely right. She knows her stuff, and she's just an absolutely lovely, caring person. This was my first visit to Breeze Dental. It won't be my last. read more

Just finished my bi-annual checkup at Breeze Dental... I should have written this review years ago, but each time I go... fabulous service and they work around my busy schedule. I started with them in 2012, single mom and no DDS insurance... met them at a street fair saying I wanted to go; but concerned about expense.... they had a great special for $99 for each of us and I jumped on it. When I got insurance, we had to go to a different DDS in 2013 & 2014... my kids begged to go back to Breeze instead. The other DDS was local but always trying to up sell you on invisiline, brightening, valuers, etc... Breeze is GREAT.... Great Dentist, great Hygienist, Fabulous Receptionist (Elissa) whom are ALL Fantastic. Remarried now and our insurance is accepted at BREEZE, but even if it wasn't... I would be at Breeze. All their equipment is continually being upgraded to the new (and comfortable), can watch Netflix too. Yes, they can do it all.... they just don't push it on you! All of the personnel were extremely kind and professional. I went in for a full set of top dentures and partial on the bottom and they made the experience as easy as possible. Dr Ganga is the best dentist and very friendly. The breeze dental clinic is very clean and they take care of all the dental issues so we can do everything with them including major surgeries etc.. Dr Ganga is our family doctor. Myself and my kids like her very much. After having the treatment for my gum disease, I do not worry much about my gum disease. I have never liked a dentist enough to refer them to anyone before, that is until I found Breeze Dental- GO THERE! I came to Breeze after experiencing the worst dentist I ever had. I was thus a bit apprehensive about going to a new dentist. The front desk helped me through all my questions and anxiety, and even helped me figure out if my insurance would cover another visit so close to the last one I had at the previous place. The doctor is AMAZING, absolutely top notch! She explained everything that had to be done in a way that I could understand (unlike the other place I went!). I had 5 or 6 fillings done, and she was always checking to make sure I was okay and not in ANY pain. I HATE shots, so I knew that was going to be a challenge, but with Dr. Thota, it was tolerable. I felt her shots less than any place else I have gone (and that is frankly too many). Lastly, I would like to say that I was a little concerned that Breeze does cosmetic dentistry. I went to a dentist that did cosmetic as well before, and they kept pushing stuff I didn't need and were way overpriced. This is not the case at Breeze. They have VERY reasonable prices, and have never even mentioned their cosmetic options. And there is one bonus to a dentist that does cosmetic dentistry I guess, because my fillings are flawless (can't even tell I have them). I am referring my whole family to switch to Breeze now. read more
