After all that, the crown came off in less than two years. When I came in hoping they would simply stand behind their work, I was shocked that instead of addressing the problem, they tried to charge me a fee just to reattach the crown. After spending thousands of dollars at this office, they refused to offer even the smallest courtesy to fix a crown that clearly should have lasted much longer. This isn't about the money--it's about professionalism and accountability. A reputable dental office should stand behind their work and care about patient relationships. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I now have a different dentist and am relieved to no longer be a patient at this office. Based on how this was handled, I will be pursuing the matter further, including through legal channels if necessary. Patients deserve better care, transparency, and accountability than what I experienced here.

Dr. Chin claimed I had "leakage" and needed a brand-new crown. The office quoted my out-of-pocket portion--after insurance--at an outrageous $1,400. Knowing friends who paid between $500-$800 total in other cities, I decided to get a second opinion. I went right around the corner to Dr. Snow, who offers free second opinions. My daughter started going there and is always so happy after her appointments. No one is happy, after the dentist, right? So, I go see the AMAZING Dr. Snow. I deliberately didn't tell him what Dr. Chin had diagnosed so he could perform an unbiased evaluation. Dr. Snow's finding? Zero leakage. All I actually needed was a standard filling. When I told him what she recommended, he said emphatically, "not needed." I hate writing negative reviews, but patients should be aware of excessive treatment recommendations and inflated billing at this office. Get a second opinion before committing to major work here. Dr. Snow is around the corner. He is a surgeon too, so he doesn't need to rack up care and overcharge because his practice has many facets to it. His staff is amazing. My mom is going to start seeing him too. There is always good to be found. So thank you, Dr. Chin.
