I also purchased a bike rack for my car and Berto showed me how to install the rack. When I called today to have my bike checked out I was told "sure we are not busy, bring it in, we'll look at it and if nothing is really wrong with it there won't be much of a charge, we'll get you in and out". When I brought it in 30 minutes later it was another story. The short dirty looking fellow that came out to "help" me was condescending and said to even look at it all, I'd have to leave it there and it would cost almost 100 dollars after tax. He had a seriously nasty attitude and was trying to get rid of me as quickly as possible. How busy can they be in March? Anyway, I told him that's not what I was told on the phone and he said it was. I told it that it most certainly was not and I left. Huge waste of my time and I'm glad I only brought one bike in. I have four. I planned on having some work done on a couple of them there too. I wanted to see how this went first. If you didn't buy one of their bikes, don't take it there. That's the message I got. Typical attitude for the area.

If you need any work on your bike, I highly recommend these guys!…read more I took my "classic" Cannondale in for a tune up and they saved me from myself - unbeknownst to me (and many other bike shops I've had my bike tuned up in before!) my bike was at near total breakdown James was extremely honest and transparent with me: the nearly 30 years old original parts were at the end of their life. It was time to completely update or get a new bike. I opted to update; I guess I'm a sucker for that classic, lightweight Cannondale frame. And this shop specializes on bike overhauls. Glad I did! The team did a fantastic job! Best part is that I basically have a safer, faster "new" bicycle for 1/3 the price of an actual new one. Yea!! Excellent customer service and although they are slammed with work, they finished my overhaul in about a week. Bonus: look the the Groupon for a pleasant discount, too.

Travis (owner) informed me that I needed lots of work to get it back into top shape. I told him I'm happy with how it is now, I just want to be able to shift again. He was perfectly willing to just do the specific work I requested. He did a great job, and he had it ready for pick up three days later, as promised. A quick, inexpensive fix that was happily provided. I highly recommend Blazing Saddle!

I also had to buy extra inner tubes for the ride -- and when they didn't have my size, the guy said the next size up would work (didn't -- too big). I had a TON of mechanical problems during the ride and had to be SAG-ed in at several points. Nothing on the bike was working right -- and one of the mechanics on the ride told me that Joy Machines should have noticed and fixed several of the issues (or at least warned me about them). I decided to give them a try after a friend recommended them -- and it was a terrible mistake. Never again.
