I mentioned I could pick up disposal at Home Depot for $120 at (Insinkerator, 5 HP, which he said he'd get and is all he uses). After replacing disposal, took him no more than 1/2 hr (probably 20 mins) to snake the sink drain to unstop those 2 sink drains. $670! My mistake- should have bought disposal myself, gone with another plumber if unable to give me an estimate range over the phone, then not have them do anything once arrived until gave me an estimate in writing. Almost $700? He must have really needed the money to charge that much with no guilt. Expensive lesson for me.
