Hands-down, the best chicken club I've ever had! I've tried to duplicate it at home, and I just can't figure it out. It's grilled to perfection with a slight sweetness. I've been getting the sandwich since I was in high school during the 90s, and just thinking about it makes my mouth water. They have delicious fried mushrooms as well as onion rings too. On top of that, they have that "good" pebble ice available. Top notch, grill! I wish they would open up a location in Lafayette! A 5% takeout supply fee is ridiculous- I didn't ask for condiments nor was I asked if I wanted condiments to go. The cooks don't read the order and leave out basic burger dressings like lettuce if you're getting it to go. I didn't want a hamburger with ketchup on both sides (specifically asked them not to do this and it was on the ticket to only put it on one side) and some normal lettuce would've been nice. Instead, I have a hamburger that's overly tomatoe bc it's been ketchuped on both sides and yall only gave me a tomato as a dressing. All of the locations of Brew-Bacher's are Baton Rouge tradition! I have been eating at its various locations since I moved here in 1991. As the name suggests, it serves beers, burgers, and casual fare. Probably the biggest choices of menu items are the sandwiches! They have a wide variety of great ones. My favorite remains the Natural Club, which adds sprouts and avocados to the classic club, and it includes fries. Burgers are great, as is the old fashioned Patty Melt. Brew Bacher's no doubt has the best French Fries in Baton Rouge, these go great with sandwiches of course, but instead you can have a side salad or chips. They also have some great dinner platters and plate lunches. The daily special is always a good choice, and represents a homestyle filling meal. Then there are the classic Brew Bacher's Plates. The Chicken Drusilla is a local favorite, and includes fries and a salad. Maybe you want something lighter? Their soup and salad choices are just the thing! The Drusilla Brew-Bacher's is a bit more challenging to find, as it's located in the middle of the Drusilla Shopping Center, directly across from Mary Lee Donuts. I've lived in Baton Rouge since 2011 and resisted going to eat there because this place always looked dirty and unkept. Well we just got back in town and wanted something simple and decided to go there, big mistake. It was us in one table and another table. Spouse order a plain burger and I got the California club. How can anyone screw up a club sandwich is just I don't know. Sandwich came with fries and went to take a bite and the fries were cold and soaked in grease, tasted like they were cooked 2 days ago. The club sandwich was made with sourdough bread which felt like it was a week old. Meat was just barely warm. $14 wasted down the drain. They did the fries over, right out of the freezer bad clumped together. Burger was just disgusting gray matter. The place was dark and still not very clean. The food is just as amazing as I remember. Portions are huge and the food is fresh and delicious. We had a regular hamburger with thin onion rings, regular cheeseburger with fries and each a drink. This is my first time trying this place! We got to go orders at work and I ordered the chicken avocado club, no bacon. The fries are good, they have a great amount of salt. As for the sandwich, I don't like it very much. Although I do see seasoning on the chicken, it has little to no flavor. Not sure if keeping the bacon would've added to that! Brew-Bacher's is a great place for a burger. I love burgers. Always have and always will. But, sometimes when you're trying to cut your carbs you have to skip the bun and eat a burger as a salad. Most places will do that for you if you ask. i mention this because Brew-Bacher's was more than happy to do this for me. My burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. This is what a hamburger is supposed to be. I was the only one at my table who skipped the bun. I negated the carb savings by getting a side of onion rings but damn they were good. Coupled with the side of remoulade I got with them and they were extra delicious. If you like homemade-style onion rings with a thin batter, get these. I see more trips here in the future. read more

I walked in. The cashier was talking to a lady that was sitting at a table. She didn't stop talking when i walked up. She finally saw me standing there. I told her what i wanted. She immediately got on her cell phone. She wasn't even finished with my transaction. I told her i didn't want cheese. Cheese came on my plate. I had to tell the cook i told her i didn't want cheese. Best place to eat! On Wednesday they have the best mashed potatoes and gravy with hamburger steak. Another favor is there club sandwich. I also love the fact that you can request the onion strings instead of regular onion rings, which are a lot thinner. The best part of the meal though is the ice in the drinks. This is hands-down, one of my favorite places to eat. The service is also great and the people who work there are so very nice. I'm very irritated with this place me and my girlfriend ordered a cheeseburger off of DoorDash. However, not only did it not come dressed as I ordered, but the whole entire meat patty was raw. Two things that ruin my experience is 1 cutting my burger in half, I'm over 9 I can eat a big burger, and two filling the glass to the top with ice and giving you about an ounce of soda. They do both here. Tonight my burger was half cooked and the fries tasted like sand. Julie almost always gets potato skins and those are always good. They remodeled this location it's pretty nice. I grew up on Brew-Bacher's and worked there as a teenager growing up. We lived right around the corner from the Drusilla Lane location, which I think is the best one. This restaurant is a hidden gem / dive bar type of place. Does not look like much from the outside, crammed in the back corner of the Drusilla shopping center, but the sandwiches have been consistently delicious over the last 30 years. Their secret is the poboy bread and making everything to order. They also have crushed ice, which I think is a plus. My go to sandwiches are the shrimp poboy and French dip. You gotta add lettuce and tomato to the French dip. They also do a grilled shrimp poboy which is really good too. The jalapeño cheese fries are a winner. Ask for a side of ranch to go with them. They also have great onion rings. The hamburger poboy is pretty awesome too and their hamburgers are top notch. If you are looking for something lighter, they have a great selection of salads too. Last time I was here, the kitchen crew sang songs while cooking, which was super amusing. Gotta love this place! I stop by every-time I come home to visit family. Cute place, great food. Prices are a little high but every time we eat here, they mess our meals up. Today I found a bread tie (the square one) in my burger and almost choked on it. My Aunt and I stopped here for lunch today. The burgers were so good. I had a cheeseburger and my aunt had a bacon cheeseburger. The patties were large and thick. The only thing I didn't like was that the lettuce was shredded which I find frustrating when dipping my burger in ketchup. The menu is large so if you go you won't have to worry about picky eaters. Came here today with three co workers. First off let me say the staff that works here are perhaps the friendliest and nicest people I've met - even compared to chick fil a lol. They had a wide selection of beers and drinks, which is always a plus! I got the blue burger and fries, amazing quantity of food for the price, that isn't a problem at all. Only thing I would want is some more blue cheese on the burger, but I am partial to blue cheese so it's mainly me. You won't be disappointed at all. Something is wrong. I don't know if Brewbachers has changed hands, manager, or something else, but something is wrong. I've been patronizing this location for over 10 years. The food has been good for a long time. However, suddenly there is a service problem. I have emailed them about it, and no response. Others have done the same and no response. Here's the problem: If you call, expect to be put on hold, and wait, and wait and wait. Tonight, 26 minutes. Call back, the phone rings and rings. This is not isolated; it's par for the course. In the last five times (over about 7 weeks) I have not gotten through without multiple calls. The goofy thing is that when you go in there, maybe four tables are busy. The food is going down too.
