A new bar in town with golf simulators all around the restaurant. I really loved the vibe in here. To me, it is definitely more 'bar-ish' than golf-ish. There are only about 5 golf simulators, but a big bar with tons of bar like seating and TVs everywhere. This would be a great place to watch a sports game or to come to enjoy the atmosphere if you don't want to do the gold simulators. We sat at a high top and were able to watch tv and watch some parties golf. From where we were sitting, the golf simulators offer more than golf. There were so many things you could do, and each simulator had there own area/cubby, so that was nice if you wanted to do that. I thought the service could have been better. First, they had to start a tab when you order, which I understand for this atmosphere. Tip is already included when you pay. Because it is still new, we didn't mind that the service was slow. The food and drinks were great bar food. Delicious! We got the mozz sticks, chicken Caesar wrap, and the hot honey chicken sandwich. It was all great portions and very good. Went on a college football Saturday when it opened at 1100 to have a pregame meal (LSU home game) and watch some early games. Order a Bloody Mary and after about ten minutes the bartender comes back and informs us there is no Bloody Mary mix. What? I felt bad for the bartender since she is the one that has to deal with the customers, not management, who is at fault. The place itself has a nice amount of televisions to watch pretty much any game you want. It's also pretty roomy inside and you don't feel crowded. As for the food, I had the queso burger which was really good and spicy. The fries are typical bar fries but were adequately seasoned. If I lived in the area, I'd give it another shot for sure, but being from Oregon, that probably won't happen. read more

Lots of televisions with sports on. Virtual golf simulators. Restaurant is kid friendly. Restaurant was two thirds empty and the wings took 35 minutes. Wings were excellent. We stopped in just for a chat (afternoon wasn't too busy so we could hear) a drink and appetizer. The server was really on top of things and I wish I would have remembered her name. The bartenders give a heavy pour of alcohol so you aren't cheated there. We tried the 3 dips off the menu, guacamole, queso, salsa. The quac & queso were very good. I don't like salsa but my friend said it was very good. We got the Barstool Transfusion & Strawberry mojito and they were good. All in all I would say it's a great place for a drink & light meal. Menu was extensive I thought. The only drawback I saw and this WAS NOT THE RESTAURANT'S fault but a couple tables had kids probably ages 5 to 12 with them that they just let run all over the place while they got their drunk on. I love kids but when I'm out spending money to relax I don't want to hear yours scream & watch them run all over. Poor servers had to keep dodging them. And really all but one child was well old enough to know to sit down and talk with other kids or get mom's cell phone. Anything but run around like your pants are on fire. I was in Baton Rouge for a friend's father's memorial service and my brother in law, Grif, decided to rent the VIP room in the back whole hosting food and drinks!! How Awesome is that!! Super Awesome!! The VIP room has games in it with a wall screen where you can kick a soccer ball, hit a golf ball or throw a football virtu through tires. I'll give you a hint, throw above the target for more wins. Shhhh! It's a secret!! lol! And you can also swing a bat and somehow play rugby. The food was delicious He ordered the Crawfish Queso Dip, a platter of house fries and Mozzarella Logs. And I had a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and then a Kahlua and Creme both were deliciou. The waits was on top of our drinks and the foo. plus she offered some much needed advice with the gaming syste. He then extended the VIP room for another hour and then we were done and left. Overall a good experience, plenty of parking in front and back. There wasn't any wait for tables on a Friday night around 6pm. The restaurant is very clean and bright and cute. They have booths, high-tops, the simulators have couch's and the bar has plenty of seating. We sat at a high top. They start you out with a water jug and glasses. The spinach dip appetizer was VERY good and was still bubbling when it came out. We ordered the patty melt, hang out burger and the hot honey chicken sandwich. The patty melt was like a 6/10 because it didn't really taste much like anything to me. The hangover burger was a 7/10 it was a good meal for anytime of the day. I think the chicken sandwich was our favorite around a 9/10 had a lot of flavor and was juicy. Our server was timely and nice and was always willing to answer our questions. Have finally tried Loft 18 in Baton Rouge, LA enough to offer an honest critique and review. To be continued when time permits. Food has some great preps and some lacking in substance, like res bean fried chicken wrap had barely any fried chicken. It tasted great, though but needs way more chicken than rice for sure. Way more beans too. Possibly no rice, given it doesn't not state it includes same. Booth games: I loves it. Super fun and easy to use WHEN it is working! For the high IMO price point for the lack of quality, and availability, it is a disappointment. I would give rhis portion of the place a 3 for effort and great idea. But the space needs to be organized and interior staged WAY better to maximize the appeal for more people to feel there is enough seating, tables and booths to actually enjoy going, without any sort of appointment or reservation. The people/ crowd kind, intelligent, well groomed, well presented, professionally carried people from out of town workers, professionals, sports fans, students, bachelor and bachelorette party groups and other festive fun activity seeking groups or couples. We had family in town, and it was storming so we decided to give Loft18 a try. It was everyone's first time and we had a blast. The food and drinks were really good and came out pretty quick. Our waitress was sweet and attentive despite having a large group with multiple checks. The power went out half way through due to the storm, but the manager came and apologized, gave us a discount, and reimbursed us for the bay because we were no longer able to play the games. It was my first time visiting Loft 18 and I had great expectations, but they were soured before I could even order my food. The other person in my party of two raved about this "new" restaurant so I said, "Why not give it a try!" We sat and I asked for a sweet tea. Our server, Sophia, brought the beverage out and asked to start a tab. Confused, my best friend asked, "A tab? We haven't ordered any alcoholic beverages." Sophia told him that it is required to provide a card in advance of ordering. My bestie went on to say that he had visited on 3 occasions prior to this one, some with large parties and had never been asked for a car to start a tab in advance of a ordering especially without a request of alcohol being made. Sophia said it was the restaurant's policy and they (the servers) are "supposed" to be requesting the cards in advance of guests placing an order although some might not do it. What other way can a reataurant say they dont trust you than this? It was spoken so loudly that it deafened my ears. On the ay out we confirmed the practice with the hostess so again said, "it is in our policy and servers are supposed to, but.. She proceeded to say, " ...because if someone leaves without paying..." My problem is that my best friend and I were splitting the tab and she never asked. Sadly, I will never go back! For my first visit, I was not impressed with the service. I placed an online order around j4:20pm, 01/10/2026. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I got there at 4:45 and gave the cashier my name she told me my order was not ready and asked me to have a seat in the waiting area. When in reality my order was ready. It was sitting on the counter the whole time. She never checked the bag to see if it was mine. And in her defense, it would have helped if my name had been on the bag. It's pretty much cheap bar food with golf simulators. I don't play golf so that wasn't on my to do list. Got my boys a pizza flatbread. Crust was soft, not cooked great. Pizza sauce bland, basically tomato purée with little to no seasoning. Burger was fine. Couldn't tell if it was a preformed patty or pressed very well. It was cooked as I asked and had a good amount of salt and pepper. Fries were cooked well, crispy but very bland no salt or seasoning. Wife had fried chicken. Again, very little real flavor and no seasoning on the chicken or fries. Southwest egg rolls were over cooked and very dry. Looked more like a prepackaged one than actually made fresh. read more

With that noted, our party of 3 was seated at 6:15 and our entrees didn't come out until just past 7:15. We were waited on promptly, but it took 30 min for our appetizers and then another 30+ for our entrees. Food was underwhelming, especially for the price. The game system did not have a controller (we were told it was broken); the staff had to restart the system 5 different times; the tv in the bay was broken (the screen looked like it had suffered an impact); food was ok; if someone had offered even a small discount for the issues, I would feel different, but the lack of perspective and insight for customer dissatisfaction is not a good sign.
