    Half Dozen Raw Oysters

I finally stopped at Beausoleil for lunch on yesterday. Surprisingly, for a Friday during lunch it was too busy. I was warmly greeted and seated within a few minutes. The waiter was right behind with a pleasant smile and attentiveness. The overall vibe here is nice, calming, clean and airy. The pictures which adorn the walls are a nice touch as well. I could have ordered from the lunch menu but my eyes and taste bud were quickly in tune with: One half dozen chargrilled Nola oysters which were nicely warmed with French bread. The oysters were not really "charred" in the traditional sense but they were "toasty" and balanced well with the bread or alone. Only one was not done to my desired taste. The price for the oysters was $18.00 kinda the norm though. I also ordered the Hemingway daiquiri which was nice citrusy and refreshing and mixed well with the oysters and my entrée. The drink was $12.00. Now for the entrée, I ordered the Yoruba red snapper, which was very good. The portion size was nice and it was cooked to perfection. The jollof rice was moist and balance however, most of the seasoning was placed on the red snapper, but when eaten together with the blistered tomatoes and sautéed spinach, it balances well. My preference would have been for more flavor within the rice and more spice like I've had with traditional Nigerian jollof, but this was a nice comparison with a French style to it which I would more than likely order again. The price of the snapper was $39.00. Again, I am a visual eater so if it looks pretty, I'm trying it and I'll think about the price later! Thinking about the price...for lunch my total came to $76.24 minus the tip. I will come back and try more things on the menu I probably will do the lunch menu to get a variety of the different items that they have here. But overall, if you're willing to pay the price, you will enjoy a lovely lunch, dinner, brunch or drink I will be back.

Beausoleil is one of the best restaurants around! This hidden gem (although not so hidden in the bocage area) always delivers the best fine dining and experience around. The food is always phenomenal with new dishes for the seasons. Would love to see the wagyu and the orange shrimp added back to the menu. The truffle fried oysters are always a hit! We cannot pass these up anytime we go. We went for an early dinner - wish they would have sat us on the bar side where more people were but they sat us in the main dining room and we were the only table - the ambiance felt a little off. Service was great except they were training a new server who had not really studied the menu before shadowing. We will be back for the food!

Honestly, the service was amazing. The food was okay. My favorite dish was the Brussel sprouts. Everything else was okay. The atmosphere was great. Beautiful set up. I'll visit again to order more. It's worth me giving it another shot. I'm only giving 4 stars because I didn't like majority of the food. I looked at the menu in the reviews and the menu in the restaurant was very limited and didn't have one of the meals I wanted to try.

Went for an anniversary/ valentines date on Feb 15th. I made a reservation maybe a month in advance but it wasn't packed. Everything was great, light music and dim lighting made for perfect conversation volume. I always get a little anxious with fancy places but the staff was welcoming! The food was amazingly good, not sure if they had a special menu because of the holiday but we had paper menus. Unfortunately we wanted dessert but they canceled the campfire dessert. Surprisingly they had a few teen birthday dinners going on.

The ambiance here is sleek, sophisticated, and low-key--perfect for a more intimate dining experience. We visited on a Saturday and were surprised at how quiet it was, which worked in our favor since we reserved a private dining area for a retirement party. The setup was perfect, and the staff and our server were incredibly attentive, helpful, and thoughtful throughout the evening. For drinks, we ordered a variety which included espresso martini, lemon drop martini, champagne margarita (table favorite) and blackberry bourbon lemonade. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on their drink menu. For appetizers, we tried the oysters, crab claws, tuna tataki, and brussels sprouts. The standouts were definitely the tuna and brussels sprouts--both were outstanding! Even my daughter, who usually avoids raw fish, went back for seconds on the tuna. For entrees, we ordered the brown butter drum, crawfish Mac & cheese and the tenderloin. The drum was okay--nothing particularly memorable. The crawfish mac&cheese was amazing-creamy and cheesy! Unfortunately, my fiancé had to send his tenderloin back as it was overcooked, which was a bit disappointing. While the service and starters were excellent, I found the entrees a bit underwhelming for the price. That said, I would consider coming back just for the tuna, crawfish mac&cheese and brussels sprouts, and perhaps to try a different main course.

Brunch was excellent! Variety of options on brunch menu, many tasty sounding cocktails, but I'm a Bloody Mary girl- it didn't disappoint! The interior is sectioned off well for noise control. Josh took care of us, he provided great service! Hope to return again soon.

Always amazing every time I go. Our waitress (Jessica) was so sweet and great. Brussel sprouts never disappoint. I ordered the beef tenderloin and it was perfect!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with stellar customer service that set the tone for our entire experience. Our waiter, Justice, was truly delightful. It was an absolute pleasure being served by him. He was incredibly friendly, patient and attentive, especially with our party of 14, which included children. His attention to detail and welcoming demeanor stood out, and his positive energy elevated our experience. Justice went above and beyond, and his efforts did not go unnoticed! The entire staff working on Saturday, April 4 was top notch. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful and professional. From the food and drinks to the atmosphere and overall service, everything exceeded our expectations. I can say this was a 5 Star Brunch experience. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Louisiana!

We specifically found this restaurant because we searched online for gluten free restaurants, so we were excited to see that you offered a separate gluten free menu. However, there are some serious issues with the accuracy of that menu that need to be addressed. When we asked about the pork rinds brought to the table, we were told they are fried in the same oil as everything else. That in itself is your choice as a restaurant, and we understand cross contamination can happen. We were also told the french fries are cooked in beef tallow in a separate fryer, but they are not considered gluten free, which is why they are not listed on the gluten free menu. Again, that is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is having items listed on the gluten free menu that are not actually gluten free due to cross contamination. The pork rinds and cheddar filled tater tots were both listed on the gluten free menu despite being fried in shared oil with gluten containing foods. For someone with celiac disease, this is not a small mistake or a dietary preference issue. My husband has celiac disease, and if he had eaten the pork rinds based on trusting the gluten free menu, he could have become extremely ill and potentially needed hospital care. Our daughter has gluten sensitivity, and she would have been sick for the rest of the night as well. Many people still treat gluten free as if it is just a fad diet, but for people with celiac disease, it is a serious autoimmune condition that causes real physical harm. To the OWNER: please educate your staff and kitchen on what gluten free truly means, and update the menu so customers can trust it. People with celiac disease should not have to risk getting sick because menu items are mislabeled.

We were in a large alcove at the back of the restaurant. It was spacious and elegant, even with the table ended up being almost entirely filled. Our waiter was enthusiastic and patient with our large party. Refills and check-ins were timed well. The drink selection was pretty extensive. Food was delicious and all delivered within minutes of one another (no one was stuck waiting for long). Burger was cooked to perfection and not TOO hot. I hate when food is so hot in temperature that you can't take a bite. The chocolate cake was good, but the whip cream tasted kinda fake/oily. The cake itself was medium density and had a slightly salted finish. It paired perfectly with the frosting which was very rich and extra sweet. A delightful pairing. For my drink, plus a double shot of whiskey, the burger and dessert, it came to just over $100. That feels expensive. Take that as you will. I wouldn't return mostly due to price.
