Brew Brew has all the makings of a good, cozy coffeeshop. I felt like I walked into an old friend's living room to catch up over a refreshing beverage. The barista who took my order was friendly and conversational -- not something you find at every coffeeshop. The cold brew that I ordered was on point as I sat down with my boyfriend to answer a few emails and converse before our flight back to San Francisco. Usually at coffeeshops, my earphones are on full blast to drown out my surroundings, but I actually really loved the music they were playing here. The vibe was welcoming and seemed like it was designed for folks to come in and get work done. There was an email-based "PrintWithMe" system that I had never seen before. So cool! At the same time, there were lounge areas if you're looking to get away from work and relax over an espresso. What a great way to end our trip to Chicago. I was in the area and ordered a red eye. I can't say much about the taste, but it did the trick in waking me up. Cute little coffee that has way more coolness points than I ever will. The decor was cool, the baristas with their tattoos were cool, the music was cool, and even the other customers looked cool. Nice place. Warm, clean, friendly, big windows on a corner overlooking the street and neighborhood park. Lots of dark wood and ceiling fans in this cozy coffee shop. A good selection of seating options: individual tables, long table which could seat 6-8 people, and a small lounge area with a simple sofa, coffee table, and lounge chairs. Laptop friendly with outlets available and overall quiet and calm atmosphere. I was there around 1pm on a Saturday and the place was mostly full. I had the lavender honey latte and a peanut butter and banana toast. Both were tasty and a good value. I found out about it on BrewPass. I'm glad I did, and I'll be back. read more

Nice addition to Avondale/Logan Square area. Free wifi, cheap (but good, not amazing, but good) coffee. They serve metropolis coffee. Good variety of seating and lighting + outlets are appropriate to the number of seats they have. Only complaint is the music. The mix they're currently playing involves Enya and Avril Lavigne. Great coffee spot in the Avondale/Logan Square area!! Always check their seasonal coffees since they do change throughout the year and I've found some great options there. The lavender latte is great, maple latte or the cafe miel have been outstanding. Their food is also great! I've had the chipotle chicken torta is a good option for breakfast or just a regular bagel with cream cheese. On the weekends there tends to be a line with the covid regulations and safe distance however it does move rather quick. Highly recommend if you are in the area and want great tasting coffee! read more

The highlight of Brew Brew for me is the space. I love the rustic look with the wooden tables. The cafe isn't huge, but there is always space to sit and work. They also have a printer that can be used and a good amount of outlets. The music is also always on point. I wish I could give it a 4.5 stars because I enjoy the drinks, but not the food so much. I wish there was more variety with the food. They only offer sandwiches and pastry. I do appreciate that they get their donuts from Gurnee Donuts. Side note: If you don't know about Gurnee Donuts, it is a local donut shop located in Gurnee, IL (about 40-minutes outside of Chicago). Well worth the drive, the donuts are great! The staff at Brew Brew are very warm and welcoming. For example, today I went to Brew Brew to work and Elizabeth, a barista, asked if it was my first time. I told her that usually come on the weekends and she said oh ok because I've never seen you before and smiled. That showed me that she really knows her customers. Brew Brew has another location in Pilsen, and I'm pretty sure the business is family-owned. Great place to work and very good service! read more

Well another reason to pop in at a local coffee establishment a teeny bit away from my neighborhood. My apartment lease is up this month and the hubs, daughter (aka babygirl in mother's eyes) and I wanted to be out of the apt while the landlord had a showing of the apt. So off we went while I asked to hit a new coffee cafe. Brew Brew's cafe is so soothing to the eye. It has a lovely floorplan with local art hanging, wood tables, a comfy couch. Decor is just lovely and simple. Its located across from Kosciuszko Park on the corner of Diversey and Avers. Easy street parking. Ordered a Cortado and blueberry scone. Cortado was solid and the scone was warmed up for me without asking so that was a nice touch. Husband liked his coffee (Metropolis)...it seems he digs Metropolis coffee brand versus those cafes that serve other brands. Babygirl had a Matcha green tea latte. She is usually a Chai gal but she was pleased. told me its her new favorite...so win! Here is the kicker, husband ordered a bagel and while he patiently waited for about 10 minutes, he decided to give them a heads up, when he did they were so apologetic, had it ready for him and hooked him up with a free drink in the future. Totally nice. Customer service was on point. Another Local Coffee/Tea lounge to check out and support. Support the local coffee places, they are just rad! I will be back. I was looking for a quiet place to study over a coffee for several hours & Brew Brew was nearby according to my Yelp app, so I stopped in. It's clean, relatively quiet and sits right at the corner of Diversey & N Avers Avenues. Seating is available for about 30, restroom was clean, service friendly. I ordered a medium Americano, and their coffee was too mild for my taste but the atmosphere was great. I'd recommend you stop by & check it out... Some food was available. read more

Amazing sandwiches!! Variety of drink menus including speciality latte, teas, and frappeccino. I often come here because it's a BrewPass member. I don't like the coffee and espresso drinks as much as other coffee shops I give 5 stars because I found coffee was too acid and espresso drinks were not really flavorful although they were beautifully pored. However, sandwiches were bomb!! My favorite is ROAST BEEF & CHEDDAR. Vibes are like I'm visiting someone's house. Decor isn't my taste at all, but feel like I'm in small cozy living room. We were staying at a nearby air bnb so Brew Brew was conveniently close. The coffee and food menu is good and contains a nice variety. My husband enjoyed his sandwich and I kept it simple with a blueb bagel with cream cheese (which they didn't plaster it with thank gawd). It was not busy but it was still hard to see the food options as they only have one more detailed menu sitting on the order counter. You need to see that BEFORE you order, not as you're ordering. A lovely spot to stop in for a quick cup of something caffeinated or to bring a laptop and work for a few hours. The space is small, but they use it well, with plenty of outlets and a few cozy chairs toward the back that are great for reading. The menu is simple, but well done. My go-to is usually the veggie sandwich or the peanut butter toast (the bread they use is so good). They also carry lots of yummy treats if you need something to satisfy your sweet tooth. Am especially excited that they are getting their scones from Fanny's again (the best). Great tea selection, as well as lots of different coffee drinks. The owners and staff are all super friendly and really go out of their way to make it feel like a community space, with special events and live music. Great neighborhood cafe! read more

Definitely just OK. I stopped by last week when I was looking for a quick café breakfast, because I prefer to patronize local whenever I can. I had been to Brew Brew before and I knew their products were good, so no risk. But I found the service really disappointing. I ordered tea and a quiche, and unfortunately sat with my back to the counter. After some time, I realized nobody had called out my order so I turned around and looked at the counter, and saw a beverage there. I asked the guy serving whether that was mine, and his answer was, 'I think so'. So I picked it up and waited for my quiche. That also took significant time, and finally I had to go ask for it. It too was sitting on the counter and nobody said anything. The guy actually had to ask the person from the kitchen whether the food was mine. Maybe that's the norm here, but I think it's fairly straightforward to ask for a name and call out when the order is up, or at least call out *something*. The guy behind the counter certainly did not seem to be excited about his job lol. read more

A handy neighborhood coffee place. The inside is very cozy and small, and it has a fair amount of tables for working, reading, or catching up with friends. I went on a Friday mid-morning, and most of the seating was full. I've actually been here a couple of times and would suggest getting drip coffee over a latte. The first couple sips of almond milk latte I got were quite burnt and unpleasant, but after the third or fourth it tasted normal and a bit buttery. They have a few sandwiches (priced around $4-8) and a bagel with lox that I'm interested in trying. They also have a sign that says they'll be offering pour over soon. read more

This coffee shop goes out of its way to be accommodating, pleasant, and delicious. Local pastries. Paninis are good, simple fare. Coffee good enough that you can drink it black. Atmosphere on point for a chill-spot/work-spot/pre-work spot/post-work spot. Bathroom location was not immediately obvious, but when found, was clean, spacious (for the city, don't get crazy your knees still touch the wall when you sit), and paper towels instead of a useless hand dryer. Lots of street parking (at 850am), and they let me sit and work for the majority of my work day without the gimlet eye of "please gtfo of my cafe, freeloader" looks. Thanks Brew Brew! I have been a fan of brew brew since 2018, and was a place I would do my studying I have raved it to so many friends. My past visit since I'm no longer close by was a bit disheartening. In the past I was always treated nicely, this time staff was not as nice I understand we're in a pandemic but I drove out of my way to support a business I once liked. Just moved a block away from this place about 5 months ago. Wow, I cannot say enough. I come here at least once a week for my vanilla latte with oat milk! Loveeee all the non-daily milk options and bomb donuts they have delivered fresh EVERY DAY. My boyfriend loves the bacon donuts lol. Staff is sweet and just seems to be happy to be there. The ambiance is so nice, chill and it has a very neighborhood feel to it. I really hope they stay put because it's a happy place to be. Basically, bury me here when I die. read more

It's slow and there's just one girl behind the counter so I wait about 5 minutes to order a matcha latte and a bagel. It's also 90° today and super stuffy and uncomfortable inside Brew Brew -- I wonder how the handful of people working on their laptops can stand it - I soon realize one of them works there when he steps in to take my order. I order; Aaaannnd they're 'out' of matcha. How do you run out of matcha?? Go buy some! So no matcha = no bagel = no dice. I love supporting local small businesses, but if you're going to try this one and have your heart set on something, I recommend calling ahead to make sure they have it. Several people sitting alone working on their laptops and a couple tables with people having a conversation. Last time I was here, there was a group talking about the Avondale neighborhood and the place was packed! I had an OK sandwich. There is a park across the street. Brew Brew will always get 5 stars from me. Being closest to me, I frequent the Logan Square location. Customer service is always good, the music gives perfect study and work vibes and the drinks are really good. They have seasonal lattes like the Oaxacan Horchata (surprise hints of cantaloupe are everything), of course Pumpkin Spice and more. They also offer sandwiches and pastries.
