Tried this place first time....had the veggie sandwich, fresh and delicious! Unfortunately didn't take photo of it...took a bite of it as soon as I got home! The menu has very good comfort food options + drinks. Staff was friendly and place was cleaned too. Place has a couple of long tables + a small round table for seating and remote working too. Bought tamales too, which will heat up in the oven later. I will return to try the Greek Panini, etc.!

Such an awesome cafe; more than just a cafe really, and a very relaxing environment. My daughter and I had a bagel and a pumpkin chocolate chip muffin, and both tasted like so much more. Everyone working was so welcoming, felt like I was visiting family, then someone brought out a basket of toys for my daughter to play with! Looking around the place I noticed they offer workshops and classes of sorts, a library section with free books, and they had a small gift shop in the back with tons of hand made treasures. Definitely going back!

Very cute, family owned business with a nice variety of sandwiches (including lox!), muffins, and tamales. You can bring your dog in to order. Coffee drinks including cold brew are offered, but can be overly sweet. All in all, this cafe is a nice addition to the area!

It's a nice, quiet cafe with a great brunch menu and happy staff. There is lots of art for both display and sale. Worth the visit!

Come to find out they've been going here for awhile since it's really close to his old apartment as well. He's a homeowner now in an adjacent neighborhood - please respect his privacy - and he still enjoys stopping by on the way back from Scott's Tots. The coffee was great - as were the empanadas! Typically I do not love savory breakfast but when it comes to empanadas Ima dog it down every time no complaints. We got: -meat empanada (me) -ham and cheese morning bun (my brother's fave) And for to drink: -Chicago fog -Lake Shore Chaga It was delicious - perfect complement to the crisp Chicago air. Excellent service as well! Truthfully, what really warmed me to this place is that my brother's dog Wibby used to love coming to get pets and a pup cup from the window. She's been gone about 4 months now so it's always special to see little reminders of her around the neighborhood. Xoxoxo

The shop is sparsely decorated but seems to be a real staple in the community, which felt special to visit as an outsider. My friend and I both ordered egg and goat cheese bagel sandwiches. I ordered an iced lavender matcha and my friend ordered a cappuccino. The sandwiches were made with boiled eggs, which felt extremely odd. The egg type was not clarified on the menu, but I feel like for a breakfast sandwich to include a boiled egg instead of a traditional fried or scrambled egg, that should be disclosed to customers with some sort of expectations. My friend said the cappuccino was "just like every other cappuccino I've ever had." The lavender matcha really just tasted like a regular matcha. It was good but not much lavender flavor! Our food also took a bit to come out, despite the coffee shop being empty (only one other person already dining when we came in) and what we ordered. It looked like there were only two workers. I personally wouldn't visit Sipping Turtle Cafe again, unfortunately. There are a lot of other great options around that satisfy me more.

It was better than I ever expected! There are about a million pastry options, first of all, which is the BEST! No shortage of sweet or savory options here. Second, the coffee menu was also awesome! I got a creamsicle iced something or another and it was soooo yummy. My boyfriend was very jazzed for a geisha coffee pour over and drank it with his pinky up of course because, fancy. The ambiance was PHENOMMMM truly can't get over the vibe. Every detail inside this place was so carefully curated and well thought out, it was stunning. Everywhere I looked I couldn't stop admiring something, from a sconce to a tabletop color to a bonsai. Everything was stunning. It was also so much bigger than I expected! I loved that there were so many different rooms and different seating options. In chatting with a team member, they offered us a little tour which was really the cherry on top. My boyfriend got to share his joy and knowledge of coffee and get a behind the scenes look at how they do what they do. Thank you, Milli by Metric! We truly can't wait to come back!

Architecturally simple, modern, and bright with tons of seating! The drink menu gives you the flexibility to order some classics or specialty drinks and even more niche options for the true coffee connoisseurs. They have a bunch of pastries that they also made in-house. I love that their theme is "made by humans". My Flat White was balanced, creamy, and smooth. Both pastries we got were good tries but the Ube Caramel Delight was more worth it! A nice combination of flaky pastry, ube cream, and caramel clusters. Hands down, Milli is going into my top 10 coffee shops list!
