Absolutely adore Brew Brew! Moved into the neighborhood over the summer and completely fell in love with this place. Their staff is extremely kind and attentive to customers, and also to each other. The space is a great. Cozy and a great place to meet friends, read or work. The coffee is also great and they also have a unique selection of speciality coffees for the seasons and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. A nice addition to the neighborhood. The coffee was smooth. Soymilk was available. They offer free wifi. There is plenty of seating. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I also had a blueberry scone and I must tell you, it was the best scone I have had that wasn't from a bakery specializing in them. I was blown away. Lovely coffee, specialty espresso drinks, breakfast sandwiches and pastries (the everything croissant is a dream) not to mention a great selection of local coffee beans for sale. I knocked it down a star because of the change in hours they recently made with a later opening time. We've had more than one early morning where we had to turn around after remembering that it wasn't open yet which is a bummer! It also tends to get packed on weekends and may be hard to find a seat amidst all the people on their laptops, etc. Love having a local coffee shop in Avondale and there's a cute dog-friendly patio when the weather is nice. read more

I thought I already reviewed Brew Brew! I love this coffee shop. It's the perfect addition to the neighborhood, and I have the great fortune of living just a block away. The atmosphere is open and relaxed, and owners are lovely. They had some unique and delicious fall drinks--my favorite variety of drinks! The food is also very good. The sandwiches are substantial and really fresh. And can we talk about the fact they had Santa there on Sunday, with free cocoa for the kids who came to see him? Adorable. read more

Checking out this place as a participating shop in the Chicago Coffee passport. So glad that I got a chance to try this neighborhood gem! Comfortable seating, relaxed atmosphere, friendly baristas, and good coffee. The shop is undergoing some renovation after a car drove into the building, but it is still very comfortable. I tried the honey lavender latter, which was wonderful. You can definitely taste the lavender, but it is not overpowering. Even though it is a drive from where I live, I will come back here to try out some other creative items on their menu: Aztec mocha, toffee nut latte, Rose White mocha, and the coconut chai latte to name a few of the more intriguing flavors. read more

We have been watching and waiting for this place to open, yay! We went in while my husband had a short work break, we didn't have a lot of time so just ordered a couple cups of coffee. The food looked delicious, especially the deserts. But... We did not receive the warm welcome we were expecting. I don't know, maybe because we were so excited this place was finally open, we expected them to be just as excited to see us. We asked what they recommended, thinking this might engage a conversation about the new joint, even asked how business was so far. All we got was one word answers. I chalked it up to some nervous, new business jitters. All in all, I want this new small local business, so close to home, to thrive. We'll be back. read more

Been coming to Brew Brew for years. This is truly an exceptional Avondale establishment. Having their Ube Coconut Latte right now and it's joyful. Their barista was so kind and brought out the WiFi password for me as I was making my way back in to look for it; he said he could see I was looking for it. I've never experienced this type of customer service at a coffee spot, but Brew Brew is exceptional every time. We need more places like Brew Brew in our community right now. read more

I was so excited when the owners of the convenience store in my 'hood decided to turn it into a cafe! It was desperately needed in this area. A place for artsy locals. And parents with their kids. And pretty much anyone else who just wants some peace and quiet in a comfy laid back environment with a sunny park across the street. Brew brew has become my second living room/art studio when I want a change of scenery for some casual sketching or just people watching. The art that covers the walls is charming and constantly changing. Brew brew is also my best hangover cure! In the morning I'll hang out at the bar with a chai latte, smart water and the spinach feta soup (you should really try the spinach feta soup!) and banter with the cafe owners who do everything from making the coffee and sandwiches to cleaning. What would I do without brew brew?? This is truly a neighborhood gem! read more

I'm so happy I found a great local cafe in my neighborhood! I'll have to thank yelp for that. This place has the right cafe vibe to it. Comfy couches and work tables are available to enjoy your latte and do some work. The breakfast selection is great. I've had bagels and locks and the veggie egg sandwich. Great neighborhood coffee shop in West Logan Square / Avondale. Staff is very nice, atmosphere is very relaxing. They serve Metropolis coffee. One suggestion I have for Brew Brew, is to dim the lighting. It's a tad bright for my liking of a coffee shop. Hopefully you can add some different lighting in the future. read more

Coffee is good, but the real thing that motivated me to do a review is their Veggie Sandwich. OMG yummy! The spread on it is unbelievable. It's also really filling and fresh. Great spot to chill and do work or read. Seems to have a good number of outlets, is nice and toasty in the winter, great natural light that makes it easy to focus and feel awake (maybe that's the coffee talking...), good mix of big tables to work on and a few comfy spots to relax in, and relaxing music that's not too distracting (at least while I was there). I've been here a handful of time because I live in the neighborhood. Each time, I try a new food item and coffee/espresso drink. Each time, they impress me. The peanut butter and banana toast is delicious and always fills me up. I really like their seasonal drinks as well- I hope they bring back the snowflake latte this winter. It's about time i wrote a review for my favorite Chicago coffee shop. The ambience is delightful. Dark interiors with lots of natural light give a cozy atmosphere. But most importantly, the drinks are wonderful. Best Americano and Matcha Latte I've found anywhere. They also have great breakfast sandwiches on yummy ciabatta with a spicy mayo that is out of control. I love the Veggie, hubs gets the Denver. Service is always sweet and kind. I love the baristas here. Well-trained to make delicious stuff and super nice. We would come here everyday if it made sense. read more

I just moved to the area about a month ago, and I noticed this coffee shop a couple blocks down from my apartment building. I finally got around to checking it out this past weekend, and I was impressed. The interior was inviting, the music was lovely, and I noticed that the area was comfortable enough to get some work done. In addition to the tables and and benches, they also had armchairs available for added comfort. I can't speak on the food, as I haven't tried anything yet, but I've been getting the Oaxaca horchata with coconut and espresso, and it's amaziiiiing. Customer service is really friendly as well. I can see this place being an occasional coffee stop before heading to the train for work (I say occasional because the drinks cost about the same as Starbucks). Only downside is that it closes at 5pm during the week, so there's no way to hang out here after work. It'll still serve as a decent work spot on the weekends though. read more

I don't live in the area and came to meet someone to discuss business. They had a live duo playing music while we were there too. The place isn't overcrowded nor too loud. The staff here treats you appropriately and the drinks taste great. The music was nice and not too loud, there were different seating options for someone either looking to relax and read a paper or get some serious typing done, and the staff was friendly. So far this is my favorite place to be on a Sunday morning. I dont know what it is about this place but i LOVE it! Its a cozy small atmosphere. The coffee here is great, not to mention the free WiFi and the Print With Me option. Yeah! Printer!! The sign on the window caught my attention fast. Just email your documents, pay a small fee (like $.99 or so) and BAM! Instant print. Everytime i come i always get a cold brew and the farmers sandwich. I've seen this place so many times and finally stopped by. The avocado toast is one delicious sandwich with their guacamole tasting avocado, on the delicious nutty multigrain bread and the Actec Mocha was amazing, not too chocolaty like some places make it and not to bland either. I'm definitely going back and wish I would have stopped by sooner. They had a lot of people but the line was running fairly fast and the decor was rustic, dim, bohemian, filled with people in their 30s like myself.
