This morning I visited this in-store Starbucks location (7/27; 10:41am) for a drink and to look for…read morea drink container. A lady that seemed to be senior--maybe a manager--efficiently walked me through the available container options. I didn't find one I liked, but apparently inventory varies by the season. As today was my birthday, I had hoped to receive a drink as a Rewards member. For whatever reason I wasn't eligible for the birthday gift--and I blame myself, not them, for not being eligible. But today being Mods Monday, she didn't attempt to follow-up on my disappointment with any free mods to my drink--I was charged for them all. Then mango syrup was substituted instead of reducing the regular syrup as I had asked, and when the drink arrived it was missing the blue coconut cold foam that had been specified. I gently pointed out that the $9+ drink was missing the blue foam, and rather than remake the drink properly the barista made a face and poured out about 4 ounces of the drink--including extra matcha that I had paid for--and topped it off with the blue cold foam. Not a pleasant visit--especially to start my birthday.

I used to work at Starbucks and I'm very particular about my coffee, and usually very hesitant to try someone new. I was very pleased to hear the barista aerating the milk, not just heating it up with the steam wand. It made for a delicious, flavorful white mocha. Many people don't realize you have to aerate the milk to add sweetness and body, and just heating with the wand leaves a flat milk that makes the coffee taste bitter. I'm all around impressed with the personalities and the delicious coffee and the reasonable pricing, and it's a double bonus that they use organic products! Today we'll try a smoothie. This is now my favorite go-to for coffee!
