My boyfriend and I came to Nanou Ocean for breakfast on Valentine's Day morning, we were staying at a hotel across the street. The bakery is large and beautifully decorated, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a plain croissant with strawberry jelly, a ham and mushroom omelet inside a baguette, a cafe latte, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious! The ladies working at the cash register and by the pastries were kind and sweet. I can't wait to come back and try the nutella croissant. Highly recommend this place! read more

Nanou bakery is unbelievable, such good service, amazing food, and great atmosphere. My family just loved it here, the waitress that toke our order was very energetic and helpful. (Me and my wife's coffee was amazing). Once we ordered we sat down for about 3 minutes and our food was already out. The owner toke his time and delivered our food to us and everyone that ordered in the restaurant. I'll have to try it next time. I wanted and had a simple breakfast of 2 poached eggs on sourdough. Eggs came and looked overcooked- surprise surprise they were perfect and hit the spot. Delicious pastries (the croissants are amazing), and rival anything you've had in Paris. I had the Almond Croissant and was so impressed I bought 2 more to take home for my family when I was leaving. Coffee is fresh and hot, and they don't skimp. You can tell there is pride in their cooking, and they make sure the food is top quality. This use to be a wonderful place to have a tasty croissant and latte or eggs and a croissant. The place changed hands and now is not very good. The croissants now taste like they came from a grocery store. The scrambled eggs are no longer wonderful. The coffee is still good. Bacon is very good but parts were very undercooked. Service was poor. I ordered a croissant with my breakfast. When they brought my breakfast, I pointed out that I had clearly ordered a croissant instead of toast. Someone came out to the patio and said I have to pay for the croissant. I went in and paid $3.50 and asked for jam. Instead of the great French plum jam, I was given Smucker's packets. When we left, I was chased down to pay the $3.50 that I already paid. I loved going here but will not go back. A sad ending to my love for Nanou read more

I asked for water and one would think it was the end of the world as the woman who works here starts complaining about me in French to the people I'm the back.
